Jane Eyre is a young orphan being raised by Mrs. Reed, her cruel, wealthy aunt. A massive typhus epidemic sweeps Lowood, and Helen dies of consumption. The epidemic also results in the departure of Mr. Brocklehurst by attracting attention to the insalubrious conditions at Lowood. After a group of more sympathetic gentlemen takes Brocklehurst’s place, Jane’s life improves dramatically. She spends eight more years at Lowood, six as a student and two as a teacher.

After teaching for two years, Jane yearns for new experiences. She accepts a governess position at a manor called Thornfield, where she teaches a lively French girl named Adèle. The distinguished housekeeper Mrs. Fairfax presides over the estate. Jane’s employer at Thornfield is a dark, impassioned man named Rochester, with whom Jane finds herself falling secretly in love. She saves Rochester from a fire one night, which he claims was started by a drunken servant named Grace Poole. But because Grace Poole continues to work at Thornfield, Jane concludes that she has not been told the entire story. Jane sinks into despondency when Rochester brings home a beautiful but vicious woman named Blanche Ingram. Jane expects Rochester to propose to Blanche. But Rochester instead proposes to Jane, who accepts almost disbelievingly.

The wedding day arrives, and as Jane and Mr. Rochester prepare to exchange their vows, the voice of Mr. Mason cries out that Rochester already has a wife. Mason introduces himself as the brother of that wife—a woman named Bertha. Mr. Mason testifies that Bertha, whom Rochester married when he was a young man in Jamaica, is still alive. Rochester does not deny Mason’s claims, but he explains that Bertha has gone mad. He takes the wedding party back to Thornfield, where they witness the insane Bertha Mason scurrying around on all fours and growling like an animal. Rochester keeps Bertha hidden on the third story of Thornfield and pays Grace Poole to keep his wife under control. Bertha was the real cause of the mysterious fire earlier in the story. Knowing that it is impossible for her to be with Rochester, Jane flees Thornfield.

Penniless and hungry, Jane is forced to sleep outdoors and beg for food. At last, three siblings who live in a manor alternatively called Marsh End and Moor House take her in. Their names are Mary, Diana, and St. John （pronounced “Sinjin”） Rivers, and Jane quickly becomes friends with them. St. John is a clergyman, and he finds Jane a job teaching at a charity school in Morton. He surprises her one day by declaring that her uncle, John Eyre, has died and left her a large fortune: 20,000 pounds. When Jane asks how he received this news, he shocks her further by declaring that her uncle was also his uncle: Jane and the Riverses are cousins. Jane immediately decides to share her inheritance equally with her three newfound relatives.

St. John decides to travel to India as a missionary, and he urges Jane to accompany him—as his wife. Jane agrees to go to India but refuses to marry her cousin because she does not love him. St. John pressures her to reconsider, and she nearly gives in. However, she realizes that she cannot abandon forever the man she truly loves when one night she hears Rochester’s voice calling her name over the moors. Jane immediately hurries back to Thornfield and finds that it has been burned to the ground by Bertha Mason, who lost her life in the fire. Rochester saved the servants but lost his eyesight and one of his hands. Jane travels on to Rochester’s new residence, Ferndean, where he lives with two servants named John and Mary.

At Ferndean, Rochester and Jane rebuild their relationship and soon marry. At the end of her story, Jane writes that she has been married for ten blissful years and that she and Rochester enjoy perfect equality in their life together. She says that after two years of blindness, Rochester regained sight in one eye and was able to behold their first son at his birth.

read. In this book, the great author Cao xueqin his view about love. He had

In a dream, and under mythical circumstances, the main character of the

novel, Jia baoyu, met the Fairy Disenchantment in the Land of Illusions. She

showed him three "registers" each containing the names and "the happenings in

life" of 12 girls in his clan. Each girl represents a kind of love.

From the stories which are unfolding in the novel, the reader should know

the characteristics of the different kinds of love, and should be able to

distinguish True Love from the other kinds.

True love is acceptance, committal, mutual and without any post conditions.

The love between Lin daiyu and Jia baoyu is considered to be True Love. Just

saying or hearing I love you is not good enough because talk is cheap. Action in

mutual commitment is essential, as we can see in the novel.

We always have dreams. What’s ours dream? Do you know what you exactly

want? And do you work hard for it. In this book, you can taste the feeling of

the author about his strong will. In his words, you can find the charm of

Chinese. It is not a book, but a precious deposits. You can get a lot from it.

But unfortunately, the novel was never "completed" to such a state. On the other

hand, maybe, it is another kind of beauty of the book. If you have not read this

book yet, just go and read it. You will love it.

My Traveling in Beijing

A few years ago, I went to Beijing. I really had a great time there.

The first time I went to Beijing, I was very confused. Beijing was very

big. It was so big that I couldn’t find the right directions. And the traffic

was always so busy.

During my staying in Beijing, I visited so many places of interest, such as

the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, and so

on. I also went to Wangfujing shopping mall. But things were very expensive. So

I just did the window shopping.

What’s more, the most exciting thing for me was taking the underground.

Although it was crowded, I still felt excited. Because I could follow the steps

of the modern city.

Running men is the hot show in Korea, in 2014, China has brought its copyright and starts to make Chinese running men. When the show first came to the audience’s eyes, it became very popular, the participants have gained the fame and money. Because of its great success, I am so interested in the show, so I watched a few colleges. The show is so funny, I laugh happily, I learn lesson at the same time. In the game, it needs to get allied to defeat others and win the game, so there is no way for one to win the game by his own. The cooperation is very important, it can help people get the win-win situation.

跑男是韩国一档很火的节目，早2014年，中国买进了它的版权，开始制作中国版的跑男。当这档节目第一次走进观众的视野，就受到了欢迎，参与者名利双收。由于节目的巨大成功，我对它很感兴趣，因此我看了一些集锦。这个节目很有趣，我笑得很开心，同时我也学到了东西。在游戏里，人们需要联盟去打败别人，才能获得胜利，没有一个人能独自赢得胜利。合作是很重要的，它能让我们双赢。

一生的价值在于什么呢?保尔曾这样“说过”：当回忆往事的时候，他不会因为虚度年华而悔恨，也不会因为碌碌无为而羞愧。这就是生命的价值，从不言悔。

保尔的一生简直可以用跌宕起伏来形容，他似乎是一个不被上帝所眷顾的人。但是在那个年代，其实有千千万万个像保尔那样的人，被贫穷所折磨，被战争所摧残，被老天所遗忘，这样的人在那个年代，以至于现在，都有着数不清的这样的人。但是最终，保尔却是成了一名“胜利者”，就算被病痛折磨，被贫穷折磨，那又如何，最终都只是成为“钢铁”前的磨练，只有坚持到最后，才是“胜利者”。这就是生命的价值，从不言弃。

读过《钢铁是怎样炼成的》的人其实都知道，书中的保尔其实就是以作者奥斯特洛夫斯基为原型的。奥斯特洛夫斯基在战斗中负了重伤，然后又在修铁路时患上伤寒病和风湿病，最后又全身瘫痪。可是这样他依然没有为命运所屈服，而是用笔做了武器，在双目失明，脊柱硬化的情况下写出了这本感动了千千万万的读者的书――《钢铁是怎样炼成的》。这是我们很多人都无法想象的事情，可他却做到了，这一点就足以让很多人所钦佩，所敬仰。这个一生都不放弃的人――奥斯特洛夫斯基，让人们对他所感受到的，不是可怜，而是骄傲。这就是生命的价值，永不言败。

书中有这样一句话：钢铁是在烈火和骤冷中炼成的，只有只有它才能成为坚硬的，什么都不惧怕，我们这一代人也是在这样的斗争中，在艰苦的考验中锻炼出来的，并且学会了在生活面前不颓废。它原本的意思是坚强的共产主义战士是在同一阶级敌人以及各种困难的斗争中成长起来的。其实这句话也在告诉我们，在逆境中成长并不可怕，一帆风顺的生活是不可能的。是要做风雨中的玫瑰，还是温室里的花朵，在于自己选择。但是在困难面前，温室里的花朵始终是会夭折的，只有经历过风雨的玫瑰，才能在逆境中成长起来。

其实在这世界上，像保尔，像奥斯特洛夫斯基这样的人，有很多很多，比如世人所皆知的张海迪、海伦凯勒，霍金，他们都是身残志坚的人，都是从来不说放弃，笑对失败的人，他们用自己的行动所证明了自己生命的价值：即使世界让我跌倒一万次，我也会毫不犹豫的爬起，哪怕再次受伤，也不说后悔，不说放弃，不说失败。

上帝从来不会眷顾某个人，就算我们不是上帝的宠儿，我们也能尽情欢笑。如果上帝执意让我们身处逆境，我们也会一次次披荆斩棘，冲破所谓的黑暗，然后笑着对世人说，这就是生命的价值

。

今天是一个风和日丽的假日，我来到“读书圣地”——光谷图书城。我找到一本连做梦都在看的书——《我们仨》，我找了一个不仅没有多少人、很安静而且灯光明亮的地方，如饥似渴的读起来：一页、两页、三页……

看到二十九页的第七段“船很干净，后舱空无一物，前舱铺着一只干净整齐的床，雪白的床单，雪白的枕头，简直像在医院里，锺书(作者的爸爸)侧身卧着，腹部均匀地一起一伏，睡得很安静。”读到这里我更佩服杨绛了：把一个普普通通的船舱里，描写的如此细致。

我正在继续看，一位美丽的阿姨路过，跟我说话：“小朋友，都十二点半了，你怎么还不回家吃饭呀。”

我看得太认真了，没听到，继续看。阿姨看我读的太入迷了，摇了我几下，我就一下子清醒了，我生气的回答：“阿姨，我一点要补习，请你不要打扰我。”

这时我的肚子已经在打鼓。一会儿我摸着头，傻笑着不好意思地问阿姨：“请问现在几点了?”

阿姨这时看着我用略带嘲笑地口吻说：“现在已经十二点半了。”

我马上丢下书，以十万码的速度往车站跑，并对阿姨说：“阿姨，帮我把书放到原来的地方，谢谢。”

等我到了光谷国际，发现电梯上贴了一张纸：电梯维修。看到这里我顿时傻了眼：电梯维修只能爬楼梯，补习的地方可是在二十五楼啊，等我爬到二十五楼估计都补完了。唉!那又能怎么样呢，只能无赖的爬楼，我到了二十五楼后，气喘吁吁地用最后的力气跑到教室，只剩三十分钟就下课了，我的腿感觉好像断了。老师火冒三丈，生气地说：“出去站着。”

我解释的：“电梯坏了，所以……”

老师更生气了，说：“玩了就是玩了，还撒谎，非要给你的家长打电话。”看着小老师这么生气，我想今天回家又逃不了一场棍棒烧肉了。

唉，看来要有收获，就必须要有牺牲，想着在光谷收城那读书的畅快，真是难得的自由啊!

在人生的旅途中，或有欢乐，或有悲伤，但这一切的情感一旦通过阅读的洗礼，一切情感都已淡定，只剩读书之乐。 In the journey of life, there are joy or sadness, but once all the emotions pass through the baptism of reading, all emotions are calm, leaving only reading.happy.

有人说：书是一杯不加糖的咖啡，品起来可真苦啊!其实不然，我却认为口感越苦，越会使人振奋，口感越苦，越能使人体味深刻。正如钱钟书说：真正读书的快乐是不放糖的咖啡，在苦中能品出甜味来，苦才真正是读书快乐的引诱。老师常常教导我们，不要用华丽的外表来装饰自己，而要用知识来充实自己，只要你把读书当成一种享受，你就不会觉得读书是一件单调，无味的事情。读书，要用心去读，用心去品味书中的情节。

当你休闲的时候，不防坐在公园的凳子上或是庭院里，一边享受阳光的沐浴，微风的轻抚，一边读一些优美的散文，你会觉得心情舒畅，一切都很好美!

书是逆境中的慰藉，当你遭受挫折，意志消沉或心情烦闷时，何不去找一些励志的作品读一读呢?学学他们是如何面对挫折的，在自己思想的王国里与他们对话，激励自己的斗志，从而使自己勇敢的面对困难，乐观的看待一切。

读书的乐趣是无限的。试想一下，在朗月高照的深夜，看几页老舍的小说，在活泼生动的描写中洗清一身的疲劳;在旭日东什的清晨，读几篇鲁迅先生的散文，在那犀利冷峻的讽刺中，进一步体会生命的价值和生活的真谛。

在你感到孤单的时候，为什么不去与书为伴呢?书，是我们永远的朋友。在这个时候，我们可以细细品味作者的思想感情，与自己的思想结合起来，自由自在的翱翔，无拘无束的畅游。难道你会在与朋友的宴会上谈论知识吗?难道你会在喧闹的街道上思考人生的价值吗?在孤独时读书，更是一种独特的享受。

读书使我的作文水平提高了许多。我有许多作文都得到了老师的好评，有时还把它当作范文在班上读出来，看见同学们聚精会神的样子，心里总是暖暖的。这都是书为我创造出了这一成绩。把以前的作文拿出来看看，发现了许多出了错的地方，文章中有许多错别字，有些地方不合理，句子连起来不通顺，更重要的是，作文写得一点也不真实。与现在的简直无法比较，为了得到更好的提高，我扩大了的范围，每当周末，我都会来到书店看书，学到的知识也就多了许多。

读书，是一种境界，只要你钻进去，就会发现有无穷的乐趣。
