如果说人生的终点是成功的彼岸，那么失败便是吹动风帆的风。

还记得在二三年级的时候，我很是骄傲，整天趾高气扬的，不把别人放在眼中，仿佛我是这个班的一班之主。

其实现在回想起来，那时也没什么，只不过是成绩好一点罢了。可我却视它为“不朽的神话，不败的成绩”。

可正是因此，我失败了。

记得二三年级考试时，有一篇是写一种自己喜欢吃的水果的习作。

看到那篇题目，我便乐了，但脸上依旧是那副高傲的表情，心中想：不就是一篇写水果的作文吗，拿这种题目来忽悠我啊!有什么难的，我两三下便把你搞定!

我自信满满地写了几行字，便在位子上开始无所事事，一下子弄弄指甲，一下子整整衣领。

一切看起来都是那么悠然自得。

到了发考试卷的时候，我已经迫不及待地想听到分数，看到同学们投来惊羡的目光。

终于到了我的那张试卷了，快要报到了。

当报到我的分数时，我惊呆了!不说未上90分，竟连80分的边也沾不着。

那时同学们一起投来惊讶的目光，在这惊讶中还带讥讽。那时我低着头，不敢看一眼那目光，更不敢接受。

当试卷发下来时，我才知道，失分的主要原因并不在于其它题，而在于那小菜一碟的习作里。

我的作文直接离题，虽然都是在写一种水果，但我却没有达到要求，也未达到作文的中心思想。这就好比在同一条火车轨道上，火车倒开了一样。结果也可想而之了。

在那一次，我的"神话"破灭了，“成绩"也被破碎了，失去了它原有的价值，只剩下一只空壳。而把它摔破的大手，并不是其它的，而是自己的骄傲与自满。

As time goes by, many things have lost their colors.But I still remember the unforgettable experience that I had in middle school.

About one month ago, my parents worked in another city.I lived by myself.I nearly forgot my birthday.But my teacher and my classmates remembered it.They held a small party for me at noon.We sang and danced happily.I was deeply moved.It was a special party for me.I will remember it for ever. 参加竞选的同学很多，有三年级的，有四年级的，还有五六年级，大家都陆陆续续地走进了教室。评委先说明竞选规则——十名同学一组，每人按点名顺序依次作自我介绍，展示自己的才艺。不一会竞选就开始了，一组结束了，另一组又走上讲台。轮到我们组的时候，我怀着紧张不安的心情走上讲台。一个、两个、三个……该轮到我作自我介绍，展示才艺了。我不由自主地向前跨了一步。我的才艺表演是讲幽默笑话，说实话这可不是我的强项，而是临时想出来的应对办法。结束后，竞选结果很就出来了——我被淘汰了。虽然竞选结果在我的意料之中，但我还是有点失望，回到家后也闷闷不乐。妈妈对我说：“选不上就选不上，没有什么大不了的，人一生是不可能事事都一帆风顺的。”我似乎有所领悟，心情也好了一点。

Failure is so common in our life. No one can avoid it. When we fail in

doing something, we often feel so depressed that we have no interest in other

things. Sometimes failure can also make us lose heart. Therefore, no one wants

to be a failure.

Success is what we all hope for, because it can bring us a sense of pride

再好好来分析分析。爱迪生，每一次的失败，他都发现了一种不能搭配的原料，下次便会换另一种搭配去试，在失败中吸收教训，最终走向成功。而项羽，虽然成功多次，但因为没有历经失败，导致了自己高傲的个性，输不起，如果他回去重整旗鼓，可能历史的长河就不是这样流的了，只可惜，他没有。

那么失败对我们来说究竟算什么呢？我认为，失败其实是另一种成功。这一次，你失败了，但是你却能明白自己为什么不会成功。而知道了原因，又何尝不是另一种成功呢？

11月20日 星期四 晴

很多天以前我们就得到消息，省外一家外文出版社今天要到本系招2名英文编辑。一打听，要求还挺高，不但学习成绩进入全系前二十名，还要在英文刊物上发表过文章。仔细掂量了一下自己的实力，我的成绩是全系第十五，这个条件我符合;至于在英文刊物上发表文章，这个条件就有点难了，整个专业也许没几个吧。去还是不去呢?思虑再三，还是去试试。

招聘会在语音室进行。前来应聘的人数不是很多，也就十多人吧。大概是学习成绩这个条件让很多人望而生畏。面试开始了，应聘者依次拿着自己的简历和面试老师面对面坐着交谈。时间大概是3分钟。在我前面的几名同学，和面试老师的交谈了不到一分钟，就灰溜溜地走了，连简历也没有留下。很显然，他们都被淘汰了。

该我上场了。果然，面试老师一得知我没有发表文章的经历，连我的简历也没有看，客气地对我说了声“抱歉”。然后就招呼下一位了。

睡前总结：也许是第一次参加应聘吧，感觉很失败。毕业求职时发现自己学到的东西并不太多。对没有工作经验的我来说，平时的经验就是很好的积累。我很后悔大学前三年没有好好练笔写些稿子。

11月22日 星期六 阴

前天那场招聘会，被隔壁班的两位英语高人给抢走了，听说待遇还不错。签就签了吧，至少少了两个竞争对手，好单位还多着呢。

在武汉科技会展中心，今天有场“武汉8校联合招聘会”，我早早地买了门票，攥着几天前就准备好的6份简历进了场。其中4份是准备应聘翻译的，另外两份应聘英文报刊编辑。其实我的“硬件”还算过得去——专业八级，计算机三级，还有两次“院三好学生”和两次二等奖学金。找个翻译的工作，胜算应该比较大吧。

会场人很多，我绕场转了两圈，仅发现两家英文报刊在招广告策划，想想和自己的专业沾了点边，我毫不犹豫地把简历递了过去。

对方仔细看我的简历，问了一句：“你是学广告策划的吗?”

他刚才不是看了吗?怎么还问我?我说：“不是，我是英语专业的。我对你们的工作岗位……”“对不起，我们不要其他专业的!”还没说完，对方就很不耐烦地打断了我的话。

睡前总结：今天的收获几乎为零。宿舍小文总结我的失败之处在于跨专业求职。想来也对，跨专业求职对普通学生难度太大，除非事前有很好的准备。今天的失败应该在于没考虑自己的专业因素吧。

11月27日 星期四 阴

谢天谢地，终于迎来第一场针对本专业的招聘会。宿舍的几位姐妹都起床忙于梳妆打扮。我早早地起来，又把自己的简历看了一遍，按求职意向分门别类整理了一下自己的思路。挤进会场后，我先绕场一周了解大致情况，然后有针对性地把我的简历投了出去。

我们专业不过500来人，而整个会场人数足足有一两千。我甚至还瞥见有位同学来自广东省的中山大学。

到底是针对英语专业，让我感觉自己能胜任在场的所有职位。上午我去一家外贸公司应聘高级翻译。面试老师用英语问起了一些有关我家庭成员和籍贯的问题，虽然谈不上对答如流，却也算是表达清晰。后来又和我聊起了今年年初流行的SARS病的相关问题知识，我的语句就开始不通畅了。最后我感觉对方有点落井下石，竟问起了今年诺贝尔化学奖的得主来自哪个国家。我支吾了半天，只好“SORRY”。

还是再试试另一家报社的英文编辑吧。

展位前的椅子上已经坐了好多前来应聘的人。我刚要找个地方坐下，中间一位老师就站起来宣布面试开始。接着发给大家每人一张试卷。要求在半个小时内完成。

我瞅了瞅周围的人，他们看上去相当认真。题目是十个选择填空题和一篇作文改错。几个选择题似乎很简单，几分钟我就完成了。那篇作文是有关神州5号飞船升空的，反复看了好几遍，才找到一处语法错误。眼看时间快到了，我胡乱地改了几处单词。然后把试卷交了上去。

那位戴眼镜的老编辑花了几分钟看完了我们的试卷，当场宣布5人进入下一轮面试，其余的人全部淘汰。原因是只有这5人记得神州5号升空的日子。

为什么平时不多看看报纸呢。这么重要的错误也没发现?下次还是小心点吧。

睡前总结：两个这么好的工作就被我这样给糟蹋了。我发现虽然自己专业已经是八级，但口语什么的好象还不太够用，而要命的是我平时除了集中学习专业知识，对外界的关心太少了。 翻译和编辑两种工作都需要大量的社会知识积累。我败在了平时。

连续两天，华中科技大学和武汉科技会展中心召开了两场招聘会。天很冷，但依然高兴，因为两天的奔波换来了三个面试机会。

一是本市一家进出口贸易公司，我应聘副总经理秘书，二是一家企业缺个策划，再就是市中心一所重点高中的英语教师。我根据自己的优势和硬件，集中对英语教师进行了精心准备。想到面试时多半会要求我上台试讲，我还特地请教了我们的英语老师，让他为我作了特别辅导。

果然不出我所料，那位老校长要我上讲台授课，4位老师临时充当我的学生。好在我提前做了准备，一上讲台，我就着那本高中英语课本绘声绘色地讲了起来。加上我们高中学过那篇课文，我发挥比较出色。20分钟后，老校长叫停，而后就和几位老师开始了讨论。

说实话，虽然紧张，但我对自己的发挥还是比较满意。果然，老校长对我说：“刘小姐，你已经通过了我们的面试，如果你是真诚喜欢这个职位的话，请随时拨打我的电话，我等你的好消息。”说完，递过来一张名片。

睡前总结：那一刻，我几乎要高兴得喊出来。为了工作，我已经整整奔波了10 天了。今天终于尝到了被录用的甜头。嘿嘿。

From my perspective, failure is neither an excellent thing nor an

appreciating thing. Sometimes, it is capable to offer us with encouragement,

however, it can also make us unconfident now and then. Thus, if encountering the

failure, never could we be scared. What we should do is to face it bravely and

never give up.

In summary, I wish when failure appears, each one of us could confront with

it bravely and beat it, if possible.
