Tom is my best friend. Who is he? He is a dog. He is a special dog. My

Mid-Autumn Day，all the country is celebrating. The streets are full of

people， the loves are holding each other tightily.Everyone has his day.However，I

Chusok ("fall evening") is a Korean "Harvest Moon" (Han-gawi) festival set

on the 15th day of the eighth lunar moon. Chusok (韩国中秋节)， also known as the

Korean Thanksgiving or Mid-Autumn Festival， is one of the most celebrated Korean

holidays. It occurs during the harvest season. Thus， Korean families take this

time to thank their ancestors for providing them with rice and fruits.

The celebration starts on the night before Chusok and ends on the day after

the holiday. Thus， many Korean families take three days off from work to get

together with family and friends.

The celebration starts with a family get-together at which rice cakes

called "Songphyun" (蒸糕) are served. These special rice cakes are made of rice，

beans， sesame seeds， and chestnuts. Then the family pays respect to ancestors by

visiting their tombs and offering them rice and fruits. The Koreans visit the

graves of their ancestors to bow and clean the area for the coming winter. In

the evening， children wear their favorite hanbok (traditional Korean clothing)

and dance under the bright moon in a large circle. They play games and sing

songs. Like the American Thanksgiving， Chusok is the time to celebrate the

family and give thanks for their blessings.

Community activities include masked dance， Kanggangsuwollae， an ancient

circle dance， tug-of-wars and the tortoise game， kobuk-nori (乌龟游戏)， in which two

men dress as a tortoise and tour the village dancing and performing for food and

drink. Most of all， Chusok is a time to give thanks for the autumn harvest and

reaffirm familial and community ties.

早上老早就被姥姥做饭时锅碗瓢盆碰撞的声音吵醒了。刚把手从被窝伸出来，也就几秒钟吧，手立马变得冰凉。我神速地穿好衣服，跳下了炕，准备去洗脸。刚走到脸盆旁边，姥姥笑盈盈地说：“盆子里已经放好热水了。”我心想，太好了，这大概是唯一的安慰了吧。刚刚把手放进去，强烈的刺痛感袭来，我尖叫着抽出手，灼伤感在已经红肿不堪的指尖蔓延开。我委屈地掉下了泪水。

于是我抓住了这个机会，跟妈妈使尽各种办法要求回去，更是列举了姥姥家的一系列我不喜欢的地方:太冷了、饭不好吃……以及，姥姥烫伤我的热水。听到这一点，原本耐心劝阻我的妈妈突然沉默了。片刻后她说：“你知道姥姥为什么这么早起来做饭吗?因为你吃三顿饭。虽然你是觉得姥姥做的饭不好吃，可妈妈就是吃这种饭长大的。在你来之前，没有人洗脸用热水，你姥姥怕你嫌冷，一大早就起来烧水。”

There are four seasons in the year. They’re spring, summer, autumn and

winter.

its a good way to enjoy our beautiful nature.

Summer is hot and rainy, but summer is the best season for entertainment,

because we can go swimming in the sea and enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the

I seem to recall best a journey we made by tram one winter night.

We were going to visit my Granny at Westoe, and I was very excited, because an evening excursion was something quite unheard of for me. It had been raining; the gas lamps lit the gleaming pavements and cobbles with a doubled radiance. The shaking tram wires were sending down showers of white raindrops. Everything in the ram seemed fresh and glittering. The breezy windows sparkled with long zigzags of rain and the passing street lamp flared gorgeously through the panels of blue and yellow and ruby glass. Outside, it was cold and windy, and we could feel the gale buffeting against the side of the tram, making it sway and lurch ore than usual, and throwing the passengers of song, and the fresh, clean, cold sea-wind was blowing right through the upper deck. Above, a high half-moon seemed to be skidding along on its back through piles of black, white-lined rags. It was a wild night, with a sense of magic in the offing. At times I was sure we were really flying.

In every year the end of June, it is the beginning of my precious summer holiday. Last summer, I had a great holiday. Firstly, I spent only a week to finish all my summer homework. Then I have still almost two months to do anything I wanted. Actually, I really did what I wanted to do in last summer. I traveled to beijing with my best friend for 2 weeks. 今年的暑假，就是不一样。不但放假了，而且也搬了家，堂姐和表哥也来我家小住，我参加了学校举行的游泳兴趣班，我告诉您，今年的暑假，我过得非常非常地快乐。

你不知道!有一天，两个同学一起来叫我出去，是做一次全市人民健身调查，就是调查人民的活动时间和活动项目，我们三人分配好任务后，就开始了!小祈和小越一起负责问过路人，我胆子小，不敢问，就负责把她们听到的话写入四张表里，四张分别：7至15岁、16至28岁、29至50岁和51至80岁的这四张表，她俩和气地叫住一位慈祥的老奶奶，说：“老奶奶，请问您的活动时间是多久?活动项目又是什么呢?”这位老奶奶听着她俩问的话，详细地回答出来，我把她俩问到的话写入一张纸里。就这样，我们三人一直问到中午，四张的人数一共有80个人，每张的人数有20人啊!才分别回到她自己的家。嘻嘻!这是老师布置的一项作业!

还有一天，堂姐和她的同学一起带我出去玩，我们搭了三轮车，本想先到肯德鸡吃喝一下，一到那，那儿里的人，从里面排队排到马路上，笑死人了!要回家的路上，姐姐为我买了一些首饰，等我回到家的时候，没想到，二姑她全家人都来了，而且还买了许多我喜欢的水果，二姑的两个孩子一起叫我和姐姐陪他们一块下去，我是刚上来的，有些累了，所以我没跟他们下去。当然，那他们有什么趣事，我也不晓得，家里就剩下我和堂姐咯!堂姐这就去打开电脑，上网了。我跑到客厅，打开电视，看我最喜欢的连续剧《绝色双娇》。后来，二姑一家人走后，家里就只剩下奶奶、姐姐、弟弟还有我和堂姐，但过了不久，妈妈也买了许多水果来，全家笑坏了肚子，嘻嘻!我想，现在，家里的水果不怕没得吃，只怕吃不完啊!

我每年的暑假都很快乐，但今年的暑假是最快乐的了。
