The International Childrens Day (ICD) is celebrated in numerous countries, usually (but not always) on June 1 each year.

The ICD had its origin in the World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children in Geneva, Switzerland in 1925. It is not clear as to why June 1 was chosen as the ICD: one theory has it that the Chinese consul-general in San Francisco (USA) gathered a number of Chinese orphans to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival in 1925, which happened to be on June 1 that year, and also coincided with the conference in Geneva.

To Save the Food

When I was small, my mother told me not to waste the food, so I cultivate the behavior of eating up the food. When I go out to eat, I will buy the food that is suitable for me, unlike other kids, they will buy as much as they want, and they can’t eat up, throwing away the food. 突然，我发现在12月的清单上有一个“阶梯1”和“阶梯2”。妈妈说：“阶梯1就是电力部门规定的一年用电量超过了2760度就要加收0、05元/度，阶梯2就是一年用电量超过4800度就要加收0、3元/度。”原来是这样啊。我又算了一下，阶梯1总共付了59、45元，阶梯2总共付了274、8元。之后我把这两笔钱加上去年的峰谷电费，一共是1693、77+796、03+59、45+274、8=2824、05（元），再和不装峰谷电表对比，才发现省了3246、69—2824、05=422、64（元）。

节约用电，人人有责。我们要合理使用峰谷电，尽量少用峰电。这样不仅节省了国家的资源，而且能给家庭节约开资，真是一举两得。

什么是资源？你所用的每一滴水，都是资源；你所用的天然气，也是资源；就连你所呼吸的空气，也都是资源。这些资源，就是大自然给予我们的一切。

另外我国的很多耕地受到水土流失、耕地质量退化影响。珍惜土地，保护耕地刻不容缓。如果人类还要长久地在这片土地上生存下去，就应该保护这土地!不要再建设什么工厂，也莫提什么豪华别墅。可以节约的土地就不要再浪费了，可以重复开发的就不要去建别的建筑，可以停止的污染就不要持续下去，因为伤害土地就是伤害我们人类自己。让我们认真地保护好、节约利用好每一寸土地，斩断污水伸向农田的魔爪，回收废旧电池、清除白色污染。让那些讨厌的山体滑坡、泥石流远离我们，让地震、海啸成为遥远的记忆……

We can use a basin to wash our hands and faces. It’s also a good idea to encourage my friends and family members to join me! Only in this way can we live happily. If we don’t save water, the last drop of water will be a tear-drop of us. I believe if everyone makes a little effort, we can make a big difference。

篇3： We are paying more attention on many environmental problems we made before, one of them is the water emergence. Long time ago, we never noticed that we are in a situation that the water on the earth is less than before, and the consequence is continuing.  Until recently, we have started to acknowledge that we should make the bigger efforts to save water. Therefore, so save water from every single person is important. That is why we should save water at home. If every one of us saves water at home, then the water saved together would bea huge amout. And I have some suggestions following: we could cycle the water we just used them to wash clothes to water the plants or to rush the toilet; when we wash our hands, we could turn the tap off for the moment we put soap on our hands etc.  So if we want to save water sincerely, we could save it at home .

Now i will introduce myself briefly

I am 26 years old,born in shandong province .

I was graduated from qingdao university. my major is electronic.and i got my bachelor degree after my graduation in the year of 2007.

I spend most of my time on study,i have passed CET4/6 . and i have acquired basic knowledge of my major during my school time.

In July 2007, I begin work for a small private company as a technical support engineer in QingDao city.Because Im capable of more responsibilities, so I decided to change my job.

And in August 2007,I left QingDao to BeiJing and worked for a foreign enterprise as a automation software test engineer.Because I want to change my working environment, Id like to find a job which is more challenging. Morover Motorola is a global company, so I feel I can gain the most from working in this kind of company ennvironment. That is the reason why I come here to compete for this position.

I think Im a good team player and Im a person of great honesty to others. Also I am able to work under great pressure.
