善待地球——从节约资源开始。全社会都在通过各种各样的途径和手段来节约资源。我爸爸妈妈带我到工厂进行过调查。我到了胶合板厂，亲眼目睹了工人是怎样制作胶合板的。我惊奇地发现，这种胶合板的“内脏”并不是什么罕见的稀世珍宝，而是木糠和一些废弃的木材边角料，工人们以出神入化的工艺，配上精致的图案，就做成了各种各样令人爱不释手的家具配件。那儿的老总说：“我们上游的工厂，使用的是好料，他们生产过程中产生的木糠、刨花、边角料，就送到我们这儿来，我们运用新工艺把它生产成胶合板。”这是通过延长产业链来节约资源。我来到水泥厂，那儿的老总向我介绍说：“水泥厂其实就是吃垃圾的厂——你看，我们建设这个厂，吃了周边工厂所有的煤渣。”这是自然资源的综合利用。我又到了一个木材加工厂进行调查，这儿的老总对我说：“我们每年都会‘吃掉’很多木头，但是，我们‘吃掉’多少，我们就补种多少。毁树容易，种树难啊!”是的，与其在资源枯竭之后再大费周折地采取补救措施，不如在使用时多加小心，那就不用费心地收拾烂摊子了——节约资源就是善待地球。

珍惜资源，崇尚节约就是在创造财富。孩提时代，我们就能背诵“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦”。节约的意识在我们很年幼的时候就根植心中，但是，现在我们的家庭条件好了，富足了，却不懂得珍惜，也忘记了节约了。一张好好的白纸，只写了几个字就扔掉了，有的只用了一面，另一面还是空白的就仍掉了;不然就无聊地在纸上乱写乱画。通过调查，我了解到：学校里80%以上的学生都不注意节约用纸。以一个人一天浪费一张纸来计算，一年下来就浪费了0。05棵树，全世界一年就浪费了将近3亿棵树，而生产一吨纸要伐掉17棵碗口粗的大树，同时耗水270-400吨;回收一吨废纸可生产0。8吨再生纸，相当于节省4立方米的木材。因此，节约一张纸，就是在保护一片森林，也是在节约水资源。

In recent years, drought has prevailed in northern parts of our country. There is no or only little rain in spring and summer in the noth and northeast of China. The same is true of snow in winter.

Consequently, big cities such as Beijing and Tianjin are short of water every year, which affects the life of the urban people and the production of factories. And the drought is most felt by crops in rural areas, of course. It is said the drought has much to do with the "green house effect" and the "greenhouse effect" is caused by the pollution of the atmosphere. In the final analysis, it is brought about by ourselves.

Faced with the terrible drought, we should stop polluting the air right away. We should try all means to decrease the amount of poisonous gases which our factories and cars give off. Besides, we should take measures to protect the forests and plant as many trees as possible.

We are paying more attention on many environmental problems we made before, one of them is the water emergence. Long time ago, we never noticed that we are in a situation that the water on the earth is less than before, and the consequence is continuing.

Until recently, we have started to acknowledge that we should make the bigger efforts to save water. Therefore, so save water from every single person is important. That is why we should save water at home. If every one of us saves water at home, then the water saved together would be a huge amout. They waste a lot of water in their daily life. Even worse，they pour dirty water into rivers. They throw rubbish into rivers，too. Many rivers and lakes are seriously polluted. Something must be done to stop the pollution. And I think its a great shame to waste while millions are in great need of water. I think what we can do is that we have to save every drop of water as possible as we can. For example，we must turn off the tap immediately after we use it. We can use a basin to wash our hands and faces. Its also a good idea to encourage my friends and family members to join me!Only in this way can we live happily. If we dont save water，the last drop of water will be a tear-drop of us. I believe if everyone makes a little effort，we can make a big difference.
