Christmas Day is on December 25th. It was originated in the western

country, but today, this festival has been celebrated by the world. For the

manufacturers, they are very happy to make this day as a shopping day. I enjoy

the great atmosphere.

I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

she brought us the desserts she made early in the morning. We enjoyed the

home-made cakes. Whats more, she invited us to came to her house and spent the

day with her. Then for the first time, I ate big turkey, which was so delicious.

The turkey was filled with many stuffs and the flavor was so good. After dinner,

we sang songs and danced.

Thanks to my foreign teacher, I experienced the American style festival. It

was such funny for me. Though today many people enjoy shopping in all kinds of

festivals, the meaning of these festival should be remembered.

Today I had nothing to do again, so I started to write about my boring

summer days again. I dont have much interest in English since Im Chinese, but

I still have to write these boring summer journals because they are my

assignments from school. Im only doing this assignment because I respect my

English teacher.

The shortage of housing is one of the most serious problems facing many big

cities in China. Though the government has spent a large sum of money on

housing,the investment has not been very resultful and a housing shortage still

exists. Two generations sharing one room and newlymarried couples finding it

difficult to have a house of their own are still common cases. Housing shortage

is a problem that requires an immediate solution.

Peoples attitudes towards the solution to the housing problem are

different. Some suggest building more tall apartment buildings; others believe

that we should develop underground housing areas. I am in favour of the former

opinion. For one thing, it is cheaper to build upward than downward. For

another, living underground for a long time will do harm to peoples health.

Above all,people are unwilling to live underground with artificial lighting and

they prefer to live normally on the ground to enjoy the sunshine.

Although there may be some other ways to solve the housing shortage

problem, I believe to build more apartment buildings is one of the feasible

solutions to the housing problem.

时间过得真是快啊，一眨眼，快乐的寒假生活即将要结束了，回顾整一个寒假，我觉得我过得充实而又快乐。

刚放寒假不久，我们全家来了一次大扫除，那天一大早，我们就开始分工：爸爸擦柜子，妈妈擦地板，我擦玻璃。

说行动就行动，我先拿报纸将玻璃仔细地擦了一遍，然后找来了“好帮手”“一擦净”。我把里面的两块海棉弄湿，将“一擦净”的一半放在里面，另一半放在外面，紧贴着玻璃，“啪”吸胶吸住了，我用线牵住外面的一半，然后有顺序地一上一下移动。我一口气擦了

五扇窗，擦过的窗户干净极了，甚至让爸爸看外面时，撞起了一个包。

为了奖励我，爸爸答应去钓鱼的时候也带上我，但前提是我不能发出声音。我连连答应。几天后，爸爸带我来到野外的一个大池塘，拿出钓鱼竿，帮我放上蚯蚓，我选了一个地方，把它甩下去，然后静静地等着鱼上钩。等了半天，一点动静也没有，我几乎想扔下钓鱼竿去玩了，可一看爸爸的桶里已经有好几条鱼了，又不甘心输给他，就只好拿着鱼竿干等，眼睛直勾勾的盯着浮标，忽然浮标微微颤动了一下，我揉揉眼睛，它又动了一下，我确信鱼上钩，就一把将鱼竿提起，哈哈，一条大鱼，我朝爸爸昂了昂头，爸爸也用惊讶的目光看着我，我真是太开心了!

有了一个好的开头，我自信了，不再轻易想放弃了。于是，幸运女神降临到了我头上，大鱼小鱼都来吃鱼饵，我来了一次大丰收。回到家，爸爸妈妈都不得不向我竖起大拇指，我也好佩服自己。

The first thing I did was I made a plan for my study. I assigned my

homework equally according to the holidays so that I can finish all of them in

time. And during my winter vacation, we welcome the most important festival in

China—Spring Festival, it’s also called Chinese New Year by lots of

foreigners.

At that night, our family came together and had a big meal. Of course we

had dumplings that night, because that is our Chinese traditional. We then watch

the CCTV spring festival evening party together and watch the beautiful

fireworks. That’s the happiest time in this world! The winter vacation I had

dreamed all year around was finally coming. And I really enjoyed a lot from

it.

The first thing I did was I made a plan for my study. I assigned my

homework equally according to the holidays so that I can finish all of them in

time. I also arranged myself the books and words I need to read and recite.

Secondly, I took some extracurricular activities and read some English original

reading. My favorite book is , written by Sherlock Holmes. Among all the

classical movies, the Sound of Music was the most exciting one. During my

holidays I also made some assistance for my physical class teacher, surely I met

lots of difficulties in this stage and from which I knew what perseverance

really was. Lastly, I went to the temple fair and was lucky to taste several

Chinese traditional dishes; “Jiaohua chicken” is one of them. It is said it

originated from Hangzhou centuries ago, made by a famous beggar Hong Qi Gong,

the senior leader of Beggar Gang.Steamed with fresh lotus leaf wrapped up,it is

famous for its special aroma and taste. Now that the holiday is ending and a new

semester is coming, I need to fresh up and get started to embrace the upcoming

challenges.

The end of the summer, should have a good rest! But my mother is very busy.

As the daughter of course I want to help my mother to do some. Early in the

morning I got up, washed the dishes, sweep the floor, cooking and so on, at

noon, I tired, lying on the bed, fan fan, more comfortable.

In modern society, most people are under the higher pressure than ever

before and some people cannot handle the stress well and choose some extreme

ways to avoid or settle their stress.However, is stress a bad thing? As far as I

am concerned, everything has two coins, and we also need to realize it from two

aspects.

For one thing, stress is a kind of mental burden caused by nervousness or

anxiety. In modern society, stress is mostly caused by the high requirements or

heavy burden from surroundings or us, such as stress from peers or stress in

economy. If we cannot handle the stress well, we would be easy to be in a

negative mood and lost our motivation and courage to keep going or struggle with

difficulties. In this aspect, stress is a threat for our body and mental.

However, for another, stress can also be changed into a kind of motivation

if we handle it well. For example, when you find that you are surpassed by your

classmates in an examination, you feel stressful but at the same time, you also

tell yourself that you need to work harder to surpass him next time. Under this

I Play Guitar

I like playing guitar,so my father buys me a guitar for fun.It is very funny.Then my mother asks me to have guitar class.She thinks to learn more skill

is good for me.I start to have guitar class.It is really funny at first.But later on,I feel very tired.It is not easy to get improved.I want to giveup,but I insist at last.Now I can pay several songs.I feel proud of it.

爆竹声声辞旧岁，欢天喜地过大年!今天是大年初二，我和爸爸、妈妈一起去了“棋盘山冰雪大世界”。

来到棋盘山，就进入了银白色的冰雪的世界。一边是滑雪场，喜爱滑雪的人们穿着五颜六色的滑雪服，从高高的雪道上飞速而下，身后留下了一条优美的曲线。另一边是“嬉雪区”，游乐项目很多，比如冰滑梯、雪爬犁、卡丁车、赛车……大家嬉雪时的欢声笑语洒满了整个雪场。

我们三个人玩了冰滑梯、开过卡丁车、坦克、逍遥车，玩的，要数“飞圈”。每个人拿着一个大大、软软的圆形气垫，坐上传送带，来到高高的山坡顶上。然后大家坐在气垫上，你拉着我，我拉着你，连成一条长龙。随着现场工作人员的一声令下，大家齐心协力，顺势而下。雪圈越滑越快，寒风在我的耳边唱着欢快的歌，偶尔溅起的雪花，打落在我的脸上，就像跳着轻盈的舞蹈。整条长龙在风中飘飘荡荡，疾驰而下，非常壮观!伴随着大家的尖叫声、欢笑声，长龙稳稳地停在终点，真是好玩极了!

有一个人，他的名字没有人知道，别人都叫他“傻子”。因为他干什么都干不好。有一次，他为了能让师兄睡觉，让自己挨了打。还有一次，国王去大阅兵，因为他们头一回打了败仗，国王很愤怒，希望现在能杀一个人来解解愤怒，这时，傻子说：“国王，您要是想杀一个人，那就杀了我吧!”可是，国王突然笑了起来，并为傻子建了一座“和平牌楼”，并发誓永远主动不发动战争了。每当有人路过牌楼的时候，都会说：“这是傻子的成绩。”

我为自己制定了学习和玩的计划，每天上午写语文和数学寒假作业，写累了就看课外书，下午写英语字母，写累了就背古诗。如果爸爸妈妈带我出去玩或者小朋友找我玩就放一天假痛痛快快的玩。这个假期我读了好几本书，有漫画《父与子》，有《唏哩呼噜和他的弟弟》，《绒兔子找耳朵》，《八十天环游地球》，《爱的教育》。读了这些书，我懂得了很多道理，让我开阔了眼界，增长了见识。

有空的时候我还要预习一些借来的教科书，这样下学期才能学得更扎实。

我的寒假生活虽然不是多姿多彩，也没有出去游山玩水，但是我过的很美好!

寒假的一件件趣事像海边的贝壳数也数不清，看也看不完，唯独有一个“贝壳”深深的刻在了我的脑海中，那就是我和小伙伴的一场激烈的足球赛。

一大早，几个小伙伴就一起跑到我家门口大喊：“申鹏，成天呆在家里多没意思啊!你也和我们一起玩吧!”我听了连忙飞跑下楼拿了一个足球对小伙伴说：“我们来踢足球吧!”“好啊!”小伙伴们齐声喊道。

游戏开始了，我和王浩俊是“胜利队”主攻，梁思心是守门的。金文佳和黄琦是“强壮队”主攻，何文静是守门的。彭霞宇当裁判。

这时，只听彭霞宇大喊一声：“预备——开始!”我们立刻跑了过去。王浩俊先抢到球，他正得意洋洋地扬起大腿，谁知金文佳趁机不备，脚一勾，把球夺了回去。金文佳使尽全身力气一踢，球像箭一般“冲”向我们队。“哎呀，不好!”我大喊一声。可说时迟，那时快，梁思心跳起来，一把抓住球，传给了我。我轻轻一踢，球就慢吞吞得滚向了对方的球门。何文静动作真慢，连我的滚球都接不住。“我们赢了!我们赢了!”我们队大声欢呼起来。

This is my day. Im very busy, but very happy. I got up at 6:45. I had

breakfast at 7:10 with my parents. I said “Good morning!” to my parents. My

parents smiled. I went to school at 7:30. I said “Hello! Good morning!” to my

friends. I had English class at 8:40.At noon, I had lunch. In the evening, I had

dinner at 6:30. I did my homework at 7:00. I went to bed at 10:00.This is my

day!

It gradually turns cool. The sunlight is no longer so strong and the

cicadas have stopped crying. The hot summer went by at last. The favorite season

in the year is coming.

Everywhere we can see the scene of bumper crops: on the fields is golden

rice,on the trees are ripe fruits. The farmers faces are full of smiles. They

are now expecting a good harvest through a summers hard work.

The autumn evening is especially beautiful. When the setting sun goes

slowly down to the west, the sky over the mountains is covered with red rays of

evening sunlight, which shines upon the blue sky and floating clouds, just as

the maple leaves fall onto the sky.

It is getting cool at dusk. The wind blows, the moonlight shines on the

今天是三八妇女节，我想帮妈妈做一件家务，我打算帮妈妈洗一次碗，作为给妈妈的节日礼物。

今天晚上吃完饭，我对妈妈说：“你别洗碗了，今天中午我来洗碗。”妈妈说：“好啊!儿子真是长大了，知道心疼妈妈了!”

我先把碗和盘子归类，盘子放一起、碗放一起。然后把筷子和勺子放在一起。我先洗筷子，我把几双筷子放在两个手掌中间，对着水龙头，一边搓一边用水冲，一会儿就洗干净了。然后我洗勺子，也是对着水龙头，一个一个边用手搓，边冲水。的工程就是洗碗和盘子了，最不好洗的就是盘子，上面沾满了油，我先往上面挤了点洗洁精，再用抹布使劲的搓，最后再用清水反复冲洗，把洗洁精的沫沫冲干净，一个一个地把盘子洗完，最后再一个一个地把碗洗干净，我把洗干净的碗整齐地放在灶台上，我让妈妈检查我洗的怎么样，妈妈过来看看说：“不错，洗得非常干净，今天你能帮妈妈洗碗，妈妈感到很幸福呀!”妈妈边说着，边给了我一个拥抱。

我答应妈妈，以后每天吃完饭，洗碗的事儿我全包了，这样妈妈就不会太累了!

今年的寒假我过得很愉快，也经历了许多的事，其中有一件事令我难以忘怀。

记得那是是今年的大年初一，我很早就起来了，妈妈也起来了，妈妈对我说：”婷婷，今天我们要去奶奶家拜年“。我一听，高兴极了，因为我去奶奶家就有红包拿了。

我精心地打扮了一下，就跟着爸爸妈妈快快乐乐地出发了。就在坐公交车的时候，看见了一位老大爷上来了，他没有坐上座位，只好站在过道里，我看他满头白发，又穿破烂衣服，我猜测他已经有70多 岁了，看到他这么可怜，我真想把自己的座位让给他。可我又想这个位置是我精心挑选的，我怎么能让给他呢？我又坐在哪里呢？这时，心中的那个小精灵又在对我说：”要尊老爱幼，这是我们中华民 族的美德！“对，我应该把这个位置让给老大爷，这个小精灵让我战胜了自己。我站了起来，对老大爷说：”老大爷，来，你坐我这里。“”谢谢你！小朋友。“没事的，这是我应该做的。我妈妈看见 了，表扬了我。

到了奶奶家，我把这件事告诉了奶奶，奶奶把红包给了我，还多给我10块钱，说是对我尊敬老人的举动的奖励，我一看，心中乐开了花。

虽然这件事已经过去了，但是我从中知道了做人要善良，要多为他人着想，那才是最美的。

This is the first diary I’m writing in the youth summer camp.

Everything is new to me, new class, new teachers and new classmates. My

classmates are all good students and they can speak English well. I think I can

learn a lot from them, and I can make friends with them.

The teacher from china is full of emotion when giving a class. And her

class is very interesting. To my surprise our foreign teacher can speak chinese

very well, but in my opinion, her class is a little boring. She should have made

the class more active.

Compared to my school, Zhejiang University seems so big that it takes us a

few minutes to commute between the classroom and cafeteria.

I wish myself good luck and have a good holiday here!

这是我在青年夏令营写的第一篇日记。

一切对我来说都是新鲜的，新的班级，新的老师和新的同学。我的同学都是好学生，他们英语讲得很好。我想我可以从他们身上学到很多，我可以和他们交朋友。

这位来自中国的老师讲课时感慨万千。她的课很有趣。令我惊讶的是，我们的外教汉语讲得很好，但在我看来，她的课有点无聊。她本该让全班更活跃。

与我的学校相比，浙江大学似乎太大了，我们从教室到食堂之间要花上几分钟的时间。
