一、利用表象，丰富想象

观察图画和实物作文符合英语作文起步阶段需要有一定的情景要求，也符合高中学生有意想象占优势的特点，同时避免了文字情节作文易使学生中译英的缺点，但若每一次训练都是刻板的再现材料，创造想象则难以增长。如果在教学设计时，在图中留有空白，或对实物设置悬念，不仅可以引发学生的好奇心，激发他们对英语作文的兴趣，减轻他们的惧怕心理，而且可以促使学生通过创造性的想象去填补空白，解决悬念。

如Senior BookⅠ,Unit 3 中的“Help! Help!”，可按发展顺序设计几幅救落水儿童的图，但只给学生展示第一、二两幅图，图画的内容大致与课文内容相同，但是后几幅的空白，使学生必须通过创造性的想象才能填补材料的空白。学生可以引用课文中的材料，也可以自由发挥。有学生这样写到：

描写大海的文章多的数不胜数，可又有哪一篇能真正的描绘出我眼前的景象?眼前的大海是广阔的，是灵动的，是美丽的。大海的美，只有身临其境的人才能体会到。

美·夕阳

坐在阳台上，看着窗外的夕阳。

那轮红日正在慢慢下移，阳光把它周围的几朵云给染成了金色。慢慢的，慢慢的，太阳只剩下了半个笑脸，阳光也不再刺眼，变得柔和。它仍在动。咦，太阳呢?原来太阳已经回了家。那几朵白云也变成了淡红，渐渐地，颜色更浅，变成了淡粉，是极其梦幻的颜色。

随着夕阳的消失，我的心绪也被拉了回来。夕阳是特殊的，它的美无法表达，只能自己体会。

美·天空

雨过天晴，太阳又重现笑脸，天空被雨水冲刷得更加明亮。碧蓝的天空上飘着朵朵白云。整块天空像一块空灵的巨大蓝水晶，美得让人无法移开视线。烦闷的心情一扫而空，留下的只有满心的喜悦。

大自然的一切都是那么的美，我爱大自然。

Once， when I was a teenager， my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally， there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children， all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didnt have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive， but they were clean. The children were well-behaved， all of them standing in line， two-by-two behind their parents， holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns， elephants， and other acts they would see that night.

One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives. The father and mother were at the head of the pack， standing proud as could be.

The mother was holding her husbands hand， looking up at him as if to say， "Youre my knight in shining armor."

He was smiling and basking in pride， looking back at her as if to reply， "You got that right."

The ticket lady asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly responded， "Please let me buy eight childrens tickets and two adult tickets so I can take my family to the circus."

The ticket lady quoted the price. The mans wife let go of his hand， her head dropped， and his lip began to quiver. The father leaned a little closer and asked， "How much did you say?"

The ticket lady again quoted the price. The man didnt have enough money.

How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn‘t have enough money to take them to the circus? Seeing what was going on， my dad put his hand in his pocket， pulled out a $20 bill and dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!)

老爷爷家到了，那是用海草堆砌的房顶，与周围的房屋截然不同，这却引起了我的关注，据爸爸说当地的渔民早年没钱买瓦片盖屋顶，因陋就简收集海边的海草层层铺就，没成想这样的屋顶经风吹雨淋还依然结实。老爷爷和老奶奶见了我，早把我揽在怀里，说我又长高了，耳背的老奶奶听不清我说的话，眼睛眯成一条线直夸我是个好闺女。爸爸与两位老人寒暄了一阵，就起身告辞去姑奶奶家，老奶奶踮着小脚来送我们，临走还不忘塞给我一串紫红色的葡萄。

姑奶奶住在银沙滩边上，临窗就能看见海浪拍击礁石，这里用石头顺势建起堤坝，海水可以通过堤坝底部进水孔进出，而那里边养的是当地的特产海参和鲍鱼。房前拴着一只大狼狗，直冲我呲牙，另一只小花狗却友好地向我们摇着尾巴，它很快就跟我很亲近了，我走到哪它就跟到哪。爸爸和姑奶奶说着话，我就带着小花狗到礁石边去捡拾鹅卵石，那些水湾里有小鱼、小海螺，还有小螃蟹呢，我一会儿功夫就抓住了四只小螃蟹，把它们装进一个小瓶子里，我别提有多高兴，这可是我今天的“战利品”，我一个劲嘱咐爸爸，回到家我也要把它们也养起来。

回来的路上，爸爸答应我到唐岛湾公园去转转，几个月没来这里了，公园绿化、植被和休闲设施更加到位，喷泉随着音乐节奏变化万千，置身其中顿时觉着神清气爽，游艇码头还在修缮，比我去年去灵山岛时见到的更有气魄。爸爸拿出手机给我照了几张相，我扮酷摆姿势嚷嚷着要让爸爸把美景带回家去。

“今天中午吃完饭后，大家拿着本子去校园内寻找一种植物变化，1：00前必须进教室。”上完语文课，老师对同学们宣布。大家非常欢喜，雀跃。我是值日生，午饭后得干值日，不知道能不能去观察。丁小妹快人快语，问老师：“那值日生能去吗?”

“当然不可以，值日生要留在教室里打扫卫生。不然检查人员来了，发现教室里没打扫干净就要扣分。”我们值日生不禁叹了一口气。

中午吃好饭，同学们拿起本子和笔，三五成群，像赶大集似的迫不及待地冲向楼下。偌大的教室只留下我们几个值日生，我和范逸臣负责拖地，这是老师指定的。我拖着地，不小心把别人的桌子弄翻。项钰涵好像要把自己不能去观察植物的情绪，劈头盖脸都发泄到我身上，张大双眼像老虎瞪着，手指着我，骂道：“你扶起来!”那声音如同爆炸的锅炉。

这时，检查人员带着扣分单走来，把扣分单放到讲台上就离去。我跑过去一看，惊叫着：“包干区没弄干净，有白色垃圾。”

项钰涵脸发红，又像一根火柴落在一盆汽油上熊熊燃烧，又骂道：“果然你们男生没一个靠谱!”我心里想：包干区又不只有我们男生负责的，凭什么说我们，还扯我们男生不靠谱?!我喘着粗气，握着拳头咯咯响。

蔡芷亦如那穆桂英，中间一摆，劝道：“你们别吵啦。”……

时间到了，有些同学也上来了，可有些同学还在下面玩，真是乐不思蜀。

最后，我们被老师狠狠地批评：“重新再打扫一个星期!”听到这样的“奖励”，我心里疙瘩一下，像被针扎了一下，又像打翻了五味瓶。下一个星期，大伙一起努力吧，不要扣分啦。

When asked about their opinion of career and family, people always respond differently. Some people deem it more important to pursue their career, while there are always other people who argue that family should be the number one in one’s life.

It goes without any question that career plays a key role in our life. In the very first place, career can give us an aim to live on. Without career, much of our living time will be certainly wasted. What’s more, career can provide us with a means to live on. Most of the people earn their income from a job. On the other hand, family is also an indispensable part of life, as many people will admit. Family is always regarded as a place where we can escape from troubles in life. In addition, we can obtain a sense of belonging to from family. Without it, anyone will feel lonely and desperate.

In my opinion, career and family are not in opposition to each other. Rather, they can enhance each other so that one’s life can become better and better. Therefore, it’s not a choice between right and wrong, but one between ideal and practical.

在谈到自己的事业和家庭的意见要求，人总是有不同的反应。有些人认为这更重要的是追求自己的事业，而总有那么谁认为家庭应该是一个人的生活的人数1人。

一入官门深似海

苏东坡一生在官场宦海中沉浮，但却三次遭贬，东坡有抱负，有主见，绝不肯随意附和别人，从而隐瞒自己的观点。他仗义执言，很有些不撞南墙不回头的味道，这是他可爱之处，也是他老吃亏的原因，他与新党公开叫板，与旧党政见不合，可想而知，两党派里都没了他的席位。

纵观苏子做官一生，虽有荣耀和显赫，但荆棘远多于鲜花，磨难远超过安适。正如戏剧中所说，悲剧总是比喜剧深刻。

正式这种坚执己见，不随波逐流的个性人格，使孙东坡饱经忧虑和磨难，也正是这种独立不改的想人格精神，成就了东坡的崇高与不朽。

远离官场更逍遥

生活不幸文章幸，这大概是人世间一种独特的二律背反。生活的坎坷往往造就文章，政坛生涯的暗淡却让苏东坡迎来了艺术生涯的顶峰。

苏轼游览黄州赤壁期间，咏出了千古绝唱《念奴娇·赤壁怀古》，“大江东去，浪淘尽，千古风流人物”此句一出，我们犹如看到了赤壁那惊心动魄的美丽，同时，也感受到了他那潇洒而多情的感伤。

此生此夜不长好，明月明年何处看”，他的诗，诙谐幽默，却又极具情趣与哲理;他的散文，如行云流水姿态横生，文风平易自然，但却挥洒自如，坦露真情。

苏东坡的一生，诗文书画，都达到了一般人难以企及的高度。苦难以人成熟，深沉和达观。或许推动他在艺术上有至高的造诣，却是他那旁人没有不平坦的经历。

苏东坡的艺术，可谓是“清水芙蓉”式的平淡，也是“盛如夏花”般的绚烂。

东坡在去世的那年，在一首诗中像是给自己的一生画上了一个问号：

心似已灰之木

身如不系之舟

问汝平生功业?

黄州、惠州、儋州。

在这“三州”，我们见识了什么是“河东狮吼”;我们品尝了“东坡饼”的味道;我们领略了大江东去的豪迈;我们学会了做旷达的自己。

历史的长河并没有在他的身上多做停留，依旧呼啸着向前涌去，但那抹豪迈、旷达但又略带沧桑的身影，却永远印在我的心中，熠熠生辉。

July 5th Monday cloudy

Today I came back from a place named “he chuan”, it’s a good place. There has some nice view like chang jiang river. I came there in two days ago. Our aunt is here. We had a good time in there. But I also write English dairy too. Because of the wrong computer, the message didn’t here. I wish myself to live more better tomorrow.

How happy I am. Yesterday I finished all the work very quick, so I have a lot of time to do myself. Sometimes finish work early is a good thing, we can have more interests to do the next work. In this winter holiday, I am the most happy thing is the fifteenth day of the yuanxiao. One day, our family after dinner early and ready for years. Just after six o clock, my brother and sister is lit torches, already prepared in every house turned a circle to send down the stairs, the family behind to the yard. Neighbors are the torches sent out of the hall, everybody together joyfully jumped up the fire in the yard. All sides gradually came to break out of firecrackers, from time to time, flashing colorful fireworks in the sky.

Jump over the fire, we as people towards the street, watch fireworks, all the way all the way to put firecrackers. 在这个寒假里，令我最快乐的事是正月十五闹元宵。这天，我们全家人早早吃完晚饭，准备送年。六点刚过，哥哥、姐姐就点燃早已准备好的火把，在每个屋子里转了一圈送下了楼，一家人紧跟在后面来到院子里。左邻右舍也都陆陆续续把火把送了出来，大家一起在院子里欢快地跳起了火堆。四面渐渐传来此起彼伏的爆竹声，天空中不时闪烁着五彩缤纷的礼花。

跳完火堆，我们随着人流走向大街，一路看花炮，一路放花炮。来到一处比较空旷的地方，我迫不及待地拿出许愿灯，小心翼翼地打开，先把它吹鼓，然后让爸爸、妈妈帮着提住上面，我动作麻利地系好固体燃料，拿着打火机点了起来，不一会儿燃料慢慢地燃着了。妈妈说：“先别急，等一会儿再放。”我们轻轻地扶着许愿灯等了一会儿，许愿灯开始慢慢上升，我们不约而同地丢开许愿灯，合起双手许下了自己的心愿。

望着慢慢上升的许愿灯，渐渐地离我们远去，闪闪烁烁的光芒好像天空中的小星星，对着我们眨眼睛，好像在说：我一定会实现你们的愿望!

在傣族，每年的泼水节就如同一道光鲜亮丽的风景，热闹非凡。泼水节就相当于在公历的四月中旬(4月13-16日)举行，一般会持续3天至7天的时间呢。第一天被称为“麦日”;第二天被称为“空日”;第三天是新年，叫“叭网玛”，意为发首。“麦日”相当于除夕，而新年是有一天中最喜庆的日子。

泼水节又被称为“浴佛节”。每当泼水节，人们会穿上颜色鲜艳的节日盛装。既然这是浴佛节。当然第一件要做的事就是“浴佛”了，妇女们用干净的温水泼在佛像上，“浴佛”完毕后，才能正式开始泼水，男女老少们你泼我，我泼你，相互表示祝福，希望用圣洁的水冲走疾病和空难，以便换来幸福快乐的生活。人们用各种各样的容器盛水，水涌出大街小巷，追逐嬉戏，只要遇到人就泼，不论是熟悉的人还是陌生的人。一朵朵象征着吉祥、健康、幸福的水花在蔚蓝的空中悄然绽放它那甜美的笑容，像仙女一般在空中欢快的跳起了舞，那画面实在美极了!人们尽情地泼水、洒水，笑声、喧闹声、打闹声、嬉戏声连成一片一片，久久地回荡在大街小巷里，回荡在整个傣族村里。如果这一天谁被泼的次数最多，就代表谁来年里最幸福、健康、快乐，也表达了傣族对幸福、健康和吉祥的向往!在那一天里，人们依然兴高采烈，到处充满欢声笑语呢!到了夜晚的时候，歌手们都会唱起歌，人们围成圈来，一起尽情跳舞，所有人都会沉醉在这份快乐之中，难以自拔，整个场面热闹非凡。

当然，整个节目期间，除了泼水和唱歌以外，还有赛龙舟、放高升、放孔明灯、丢包、斗鸡、放气球、游园联欢等许许多多有趣而又有新意的活动呢。

泼水节流传至今已有上千的历史了，就在2006年，泼水节成功列入非文化遗产。

The Ten-minute Break Between Classes Time seems to be so limited for us Senior Three students. As a result, more and more students try to study from early morning till late afternoon, even during the ten-minute breaks. In my view, taking a ten minute break between classes is equally important. Otherwise, we will feel exhausted both physically and mentally,During the ten minute break, we are supposed to do something really relaxing, we need is to have a rest, instead of getting more tired. Besides, studying during the break doesn ’ t necessarily mean that you will achieve more. So doing nothing tiring in that short period is of greater significance. As far as my ten-minute breaks are concerned, sometimes I take some simple exercise, such as having a walk with my classmates, or just a free chat to refresh myself. When the next class begins, I feel energetic again.
