The Importance of Details

"The devil is always in the details" is a proverb which means that details determine our success. Therefore, this quotation aims to tell us that every detail is important enough to be paid attention to.

Some people may think that one who wants to achieve great success shouldnt pay much attention to details，but those who desire to do something big at once will constantly be haunted by disappointment, frustration or even failures，as when something big " shows up，they can hardly seize the opportunity because of the lack of ability to deal with small things. Keeping an eye on details may help us in many ways. For instance, when we were small children, we were sometimes very careless and there were many lapses in our homework, but if we could pay much more attention to these trifles, we would get a higher mark in the exam. Do you know Harry Potter? If you dont, then you are out of date. Many people love Harry Potter, whether children or adults. I love Harry Potter, too. Last week, I went to Nantong to see the movie "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

It was a wonderful movie. In the movie, Harry is the same age as us and he is more handsome than me. Harrys best friends are Hermione and Ron. How I Spent My Summer Vacation

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.

In this winter holiday, I am the most happy thing is the fifteenth day of the yuanxiao. One day, our family after dinner early and ready for years. Just after six o clock, my brother and sister is lit torches, already prepared in every house turned a circle to send down the stairs, the family behind to the yard. Neighbors are the torches sent out of the hall, everybody together joyfully jumped up the fire in the yard. 跳完火堆，我们随着人流走向大街，一路看花炮，一路放花炮。来到一处比较空旷的地方，我迫不及待地拿出许愿灯，小心翼翼地打开，先把它吹鼓，然后让爸爸、妈妈帮着提住上面，我动作麻利地系好固体燃料，拿着打火机点了起来，不一会儿燃料慢慢地燃着了。妈妈说：“先别急，等一会儿再放。”我们轻轻地扶着许愿灯等了一会儿，许愿灯开始慢慢上升，我们不约而同地丢开许愿灯，合起双手许下了自己的心愿。

望着慢慢上升的许愿灯，渐渐地离我们远去，闪闪烁烁的光芒好像天空中的小星星，对着我们眨眼睛，好像在说：我一定会实现你们的愿望!
