The Christmas story also draws attention to all those people who are on the edge of society - people who feel cut off and disadvantaged; people who, for one reason or another, are not able to enjoy the full benefits of living in a civilised and law-abiding community. It is all too easy to turn a blind eye, to pass by on the other side, and leave it to experts and professionals. All the great religious teachings of the world press home the message that everyone has a responsibility to care for the vulnerable. Fortunately, there are many groups and individuals, often unsung and unrewarded, who are dedicated to ensuring that the outsiders are given a chance to be recognised and respected. However, each one of us can also help by offering a little time, a talent or a possession, and taking a share in the responsibility for the well-being of those who feel excluded.

And also today I want to draw attention to another group of people who deserve our thoughts this Christmas. We have all been conscious of those who have given their lives, or who have been severely wounded, while serving with the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The dedication of the National Armed Forces Memorial was also an occasion to remember those who have suffered while serving in these and every other place of unrest since the end of the Second World War.

For their families, Christmas will bring back sad memories, and I pray that all of you, who are missing those who are dear to you, will find strength and comfort in your families and friends.

This is one of the most wonderful traditions of all. Christmas candies are distributed to neighbors during the Yuletide season. Onthe day of Christmas, all misunderstandings and grudges are forgotten and the community comes together to celebrate the birth of Christ.

这是所有传统中最有趣的一个。圣诞季人们向邻居们分发圣诞糖果；圣诞节那天，所有误会与仇恨统统化解，邻里之间团结一致共同庆祝耶稣的诞生。

These traditions have been carried out for decades, yet they are celebrated with more and more exuberance each year. The level of excitement has never gone down. It just keeps getting better and better with time.

I have a good English teacher. Her name is Wu Fang. She is 34 years old. She has short curly hair and is of medium build, she is tall. And she has many habits!

我们终于到达了地点，我一下车真是太热闹了，有音乐又有舞蹈。当我们来到座位前，我看看这，看看那，人们都在互相祝福，看着看着，忽然一个又老又欢快的声音从远处传来：“MarryChristmastoyou！”原来是圣诞老人来了，他把小朋友们领上台，让我们跳起欢快的舞蹈。时间慢慢地过去了，舞蹈停止了，晚会的主持人来了，圣诞老人不见了，我觉得越来越没劲儿，于是我就跑到一边去玩，不一会爸爸走过来说：“你都快把我急坏了，他看看哪个小朋友像你一样，跑来跑去？”

“人家只是想玩一玩，觉得那里太没意思了。”我撅着嘴慢慢地说到。这时我听到支持人阿姨说“圣诞钟声马上就要敲响了，请大家把目光转移到后面的大吊钟上。”一听这话，我和爸爸像松鼠一样窜到人群中，“五、四、三、二、一”“咚、咚、咚”钟声人们的欢呼声敲响，这时，一位长长的胡子，白发苍苍的老人，背着一个大礼包，带着满面的笑容走向人群中，我看见了他，圣诞老人似乎活了，我激动的连话都说不出来，我只顾着真奔圣诞老人，根本记不起爸爸的话，我还没跑到圣诞老人的跟前，他就慈祥的从大礼包里拿出一个精致的圣诞娃娃，他一边给我一边说：“祝你以后的日子里快乐成长，好好学习。”我谢了圣诞老人后就兴高采烈到跑到爸爸跟前，爸爸看到我深深地叹了一口，我这才知道爸爸因为找我又被我急坏了。

今天是圣诞节，我祝全班同学和所有的老师圣诞节快乐，睡个好觉，我祝大家在以后的日子里开心长久。

圣诞节到了，我们一家人去大姨妈家过圣诞节，这天也是我表哥的生日，大家一起，庆祝圣诞节，也庆祝他的生日。

到了他们家，我看到五岁的小表弟和八岁的小表妹已经早早在那里了。小表弟一看到我就开心地跑到我身边因为好久没看到我。他显得特别兴奋，一直对着我叽叽喳喳像一只小鸟一样的说个不停。这时，我看到我表哥表姐靠着沙发看手机。姨妈正在厨房里忙里忙外，给我们准备好吃的。小表弟说：“我们今天那么多人在一起，我们能玩捉迷藏吗？”大家高兴地说：“好！”姨妈的家很大，有三层楼，很适合玩捉迷藏。我们两个人一组进行游戏。我和小表弟是一组的。小表弟虽然年纪很小，可是他很机灵。每次都能找到一个隐藏的地方让大家找不到他。还有表姐和表妹一组。我哥哥跟我表哥一组。我们不一会儿就赢了好几次。

没多久，姨妈就叫我们吃饭了。今天的饭菜可丰盛了。有三文鱼，螃蟹，肉串，饺子，豆……我最喜欢吃的是鸡翅膀，鱼丸汤和火腿。我们小朋友们刚才玩了很久，游戏消耗了很多体力，现在我们吃得特别多。小表弟吃得很香，一直说：“太好吃了，太好吃了！”大家都被他逗得哈哈大笑。

吃完饭，我们开始分礼物了。姨妈准备了一地拉粑粑的木头，在上面盖了一块红颜色的布，然后让我们边唱歌边敲。等我们唱完了歌，她就从里面拿出了一个礼物来。我们唱了一遍又一遍，礼物拿了一个又一个。表哥拿到的礼物最多，因为他是今天的“小寿星”。当然我们都知道这些礼物都是大人准备的，只有小表弟以为是木头拉出来的。礼物完了之后，他还在那里使劲地敲，想敲出更多的礼物来，我觉得他真是太可爱了！

今年的圣诞节真的是非常的有意思有好吃的美食好玩的游戏，还有大家都拿到了自己喜欢的礼物。最重要的是，我们表兄妹都聚集在一起，说不完的知心话。希望下一次的聚会很快就会到来。

一直都想写我的英语老师，只是因为觉得学习不好，颇感内疚，不好意思来写。用我妈妈的话来说，他就是一个小男孩，我应该叫哥哥的。

他说话的样子十分夸张。他跟我们说在另一所学校里做班主任时，他安排的座位非常合理，因此学生成绩提高很快。我当然理解他的自豪，但我也理解我的班主任为何不采用。因为丁老师谈建议时的神情就像一只狗伸着舌头，流着口水，教一只猫如何分配自己盘中的鱼。明明一张很英俊的脸，有棱有角，鼻梁挺直，眼睛凹下，嘴唇也很性感。你不知道呀!他生气时目光看向远方，深沉而坚定，加上魁梧的身材，就像一位年轻的法老，站在他的城墙上，指点江山。可是除了生气时像个男人外，其他时候就是个小男孩了，大笑起来嘴很夸张地向上翅起，就像卡通画，让所有的人都可以感受到他的快乐。若是说到什么好事，他就像大公鸡似的炫耀他的两根粗粗的眉毛向上飞扬，眼中不时闪着像星星一样的光点，还手舞足蹈的，唾沫横飞，经常唾到前排同学的脸上。被人夸奖的时候，又显得女里女气的，十分腼腆。每次开考前，他在教室门外，他的嘴角像一只红色的狐狸，在雪中伸着一只爪子，望着一只兔子。

英语老师姓丁，家在阳曲，可能地理位置有些偏辟，所以考出来不大容易。本来在另一所中学里教高中，后来考入我校，校长让他教初中。这让他十分失望，有时还在学生中露出了像李白一样怀才不遇的痛苦和颓唐。有时又高兴地告诉我们，我们是他教的第一拔学生!?

可能是刚刚带学生，他有年轻老师的激情，为我们自费复印英语资料，很喜欢在读英语课文时，一边作着奇里古怪的样子，一边发出奇里古怪的声音。有时上课，讲着讲着就讲起了自己的自传，于是常常在自我的唾沫星子中陶醉得难以自拔。上他的课让我感到十分的快乐和高兴，只是因为成绩不好而十分愧对他。不知为什么，我学也学不好，只能在每次考完试以后都躲着他。很亏心很愧疚地面对他对我的微笑，但他从来不说我不好，一次又一次地原谅我。

又一次，语文老师让我们以描写一位老师的神态特征为作业，到了下节课是英语。他进来十分讨好的让我们写他。回家后我写了两篇，有一篇是写他的，到了教室，临交作业时我又拿回了，结果我的另一篇得了第一，上课时他说已看过，可惜不是写他的。到后来越到中考我觉得愧对老师，现在考完了，我却一直想着他，想着欠他的一篇作文。
