英语老师姓李，今年51岁，个字不高，穿着朴素。这次见着李老师是到乡镇视导的工作之余。上学期视导时，得知李老师在小学支教，我们聊了一会儿。

从小学到初中都在学英语，教过我的英语老师也有好几个，但只有一个老师让我印象深刻——他就是许英茂老师。

许老师打扮得整齐、干净，挺帅气的。大部分时间都是穿西装，很少见他穿休闲装。

上课时，他要么踮起脚尖，要么双手放在肚子前。千万不要在他面前搞小动作，他的脸异常严肃，这只是轻微的；严重的话，保佑你不会给他罚死。

许老师要求严格，没有完成作业就去跑步，没有背书就不许吃饭（其实只是把你留到半个小时后就把你放走了），上课迟到就要站着上课，至于其他的处罚，像上下蹲、100个兔子、100个鸭子步、100个……许老师说：“你犯的次数越多，每次就越会往上増。”

我觉得这样挺好的，反正罚的又不是我，不过我也得小心了，否则下一个就可能是我自己。

想想上个学期，我一篇英语课文都没背，甚至连一个单词都没有认真记，现在他让我们把每个单元的unit1、unit2都背下来，每个单元的单词都要背下来，还要听写，呃……这简直是……唉！不知道该怎么说，也只好乖乖认命背书吧。

但是我觉得这样挺好的。

许老师也许偏爱草书吧，他的字迹……就像几根线缠在一起，他写的板书有些看得懂，有些看不懂，但也只能硬着头皮上，不然，没有笔记交上去，他要找你去谈谈人生。

他，戴着鸭舌帽，他，披着一件灰外套，好似一个老干部。他就是我的老师——应老师。还记得我们的师生之旅是从我小升初那年开始的。那时，我来到一个完全陌生的地方，难免有些生疏。可是他的课，我觉得格外亲切。

那是他上的英语课，在课堂上告诉了我们一个记单词的诀窍，就是用音标记单词，可是刚接触音标的我，根本搞不清楚哪几个字母读哪个音，使我的听写没的不堪入目，应老师见了，不由的开起了玩笑：“我可真是伤心啊！”他说完后没有马上走开，反而是帮我认真的分析起来，边说边让我作笔记。让我记清楚，下次听写不要那么多错，那么辛苦的订证。

窗外的鸟儿在欢唱，伴着我“唰唰”的写字声和应老师的讲解声。

在上课的前几分钟，应老师总会来和我们“谈谈人生”，“八婆八婆”。就拿最近几次的英语课来说说吧。

我还记得，四年级刚来思源学校读书，是麦老师教我们英语，当她走进教室的一刹那，全班人用期待的目光投向麦老师：她穿着一身碎花长裙，当我望着她那慈爱的眼神，感觉麦老师的眼睛会说话一样，她的眼睛好像对我说：“你好，同学！我是你们的英语老师。”

我喜欢上麦老师的课，最喜欢英语晚修课，因为麦老师会来班上。麦老师是我到思源学校以后最喜欢的一位老师，我恨不得一个星期的课和晚修都是麦老师的。她讲课很有趣，课上会做一些小游戏，麦老师的课堂同学们都会积极举手回答问题。我就奇怪了，为什么别的课我就不爱举手呢？而到了她的课大家都很活跃！我已经有了答案。因为我们喜欢麦老师，所以我们喜欢英语课。

Today is Christmas day

It was one of the last days before Christmas, and the as sistants in the large store had their hands full serving eager Christmas shoppers.

At one counter an old lady was choosing gloves red ones for her daugher in law, light blue ones for her niece, pink ones for her grand daughter, green ones for her sister and by the time she had found what she wanted, the counter was covered with pairs of all colors and sizes.

When the salesgirl had finally written out the bill and was about to turn to the next customer with a tired voice. "Thank you very much, madam," the old lady suddenly cried out, "Oh, I almost forgot..."——"Anything else, madam?" said the girl, "Yes," began the old lady, "Id like to buy another pair, but I m not quite sure about what exactly I should cloose. I wonder if you could help me." "Certainly, madam", was the girls reply. The old lady then went on to explain that what she was looking for was a pair of gloves for a girl of her age. She was not at ail sure what color to choose, and the design was a problem too.

The tired girl did her best to help the old lady make up her mind, showing her ail kinds of gloves.

At last the chosen pair of gloves were wrapped up and paid for as well, and as the girl was about to turn to the next customer, the old lady handed her a little parcel and said, "These now, dear, these are for you and thank you for being so patient. I do hope you have a merry Christmas !"

We have all been conscious of those who have given their lives, or who have been severely wounded, while serving with the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The dedication of the National Armed Forces Memorial was also an occasion to remember those who have suffered while serving in these and every other place of unrest since the end of the Second World War.

For their families, Christmas will bring back sad memories, and I pray that all of you, who are missing those who are dear to you, will find strength and comfort in your families and friends.

A familiar introduction to an annual Christmas Carol Service contains the words: Because this would most rejoice his heart, let us remember, in his name, the poor and the helpless, the cold, the hungry, and the oppressed; the sick and those who mourn, the lonely and the unloved.

当我们来到座位前，我看看这，看看那，人们都在互相祝福，看着看着，忽然一个又老又欢快的声音从远处传来：“MarryChristmastoyou!”原来是圣诞老人来了，他把小朋友 们领上台，让我们跳起欢快的舞蹈。时间慢慢地过去了，舞蹈停止了，晚会的主持人来了，圣诞老人不见了，我觉得越来越没劲儿，于是我就跑到一边去玩，不一会爸爸走过来说：“你都快把我急坏了，他看看哪个小朋友像你一样，跑来跑去?”“人家只是想玩一玩，觉得那里太没意思了。”我撅着嘴慢慢地说到。这时我听到支持人阿姨说“圣诞钟声马上就要敲响了，请大家把目光转移到后面的大吊钟上。”一听这话，我和爸爸像松鼠一样窜到人群中，“五、四、三、二、一”“咚、咚、咚”钟声人们的欢呼声敲响，这时，一位长长的胡子，白发苍苍的老人，背着一个大礼包，带着满面的笑容走向人群中，我看见了他，圣诞老人似乎活了，我激动的连话都说不出来，我只顾着真奔圣诞老人，根本记不起爸爸的话，我还没跑到圣诞老人的跟前，他就慈祥的从大礼包里拿出一个精致的圣诞娃娃，他一边给我一边说：“祝你以后的日子里快乐成长 ，好好学习。”我谢了圣诞老人后就兴高采烈到跑到爸爸跟前，爸爸看到我深深地叹了一口，我这才知道爸爸因为找我又被我急坏了。

今天是圣诞节，我祝全班同学 和所有的老师 圣诞节快乐，睡个好觉，我祝大家在以后的日子里开心长久。
