hard to know what to say. Mainly because like most adults I feel preposterous

asking anything of you because our time with you is surely done. Now we get our

own presents, control our own fates, take responsibility for our own actions,

and live in the world we have created... so its not for us to turn around and

plead for your help with the environment, the migrant crisis, the NHS,

education, food banks, human rights, fundamentalism and wars. Though God knows

we need all the help we can get with all these man-made problems and more.

And its not that you arent compassionate and full of joy. Youre great.

In spite of you being changed into different colours for corporations and being

bastardised to represent materialism gone mad - despite probably originating in

some season based pagan druid ritual a million thought miles from requests for

spontaneously combusting hoverboards... Kidadults cynically pointing this out

after having their moment of belief in you are wasting everyones precious time.

Because you are not for them. You are for the children. Children who need some

magic in a world where the borders between innocence and responsibility, playful

imagination and cold, adult obstacles are continually shrinking.

This is what Id like to ask you to help with. A little more time for

children to be children. Stretch the moment of magic and playfulness. Distract

them from the realities of a world gone mad so that they can laugh with their

breath rather than sob with their tears. Especially those caring for family

members, or suffering illness, hunger or poverty. Especially those hiding in

buildings as bombs rain down, or being handed shaking with fear or cold into a

boat to escape environmental disaster or war. Please help to light up their

worlds with a moment of joy and hope.

When I think about it youve got it tough this year... And when I really

think about it Im not sure that asking you for a lightsaber and getting one

(not that I ever did by the way) is equatable with controlling the space time

continuum and making the good of childhood last a little longer.

But you do inspire wonder and awe amongst those that write you letters and

go to sleep hoping there might be a new object in their possession come dawn.

You inspire good behaviour and, at least in my memory, some desperate last

minute attempts to redeem bad behaviour so as not to be overlooked. Spare a

thought too for those millions who want to write to you but through illiteracy

cant. Hear their words and help to give them the time and chance to learn how

to read and write so they can better their lives and escape their impoverished

beginnings.

I feel a little sorry for you. And I guess Ive done exactly what I said I

wouldnt... Asked you to help with adult problems and solve some of the greatest

worries we have for our children. I promise to leave some extra port and mince

pies for you!

On a sunny holiday, our family unanimously decided to take exercise -

climbing Maanshan! Maanshan ecological park is located in the south of Yangwu

village, Daling mountain. The main peak is 329.2 meters above sea level. It is

divided into two small peaks at the front and back. It is named Maanshan because

of its shape similar to Maanshan. It used to be a quarry. All the stones mined

were transported to all parts of the city as building materials, bringing

considerable economic benefits to the local area and seriously damaging the

home, the village committee decided to close the quarry and invest 5 million

记得在我八岁那年的暑假，我和爸爸妈妈还有其他小伙伴一起，来到了爸爸同学的老家——九鼎山。到达了叔叔家后，我们打算去山顶看风景。但是，上山的公路还没有修好，所以，我们只能徒步爬上山去。我和小伙伴听说要徒步爬到山顶，就兴奋不已地跳了起来。

于是，到达叔叔家后的第二天一大早，我和小伙伴都兴奋的早早地起了床。爸爸妈妈也收拾好了行囊，准备好了食物和水。一切准备就绪，我们就兴高采烈地出发了。一开始，我和小伙伴们都争先恐后地往山上冲，我们比赛看谁先发现新鲜事物，我一马当先地跑在前面，忽然听见小树丛里传出老鼠地叫声，于是，我急急忙忙地跑过去，老鼠听到我的脚步声，立马钻进了洞里，然后我垂头丧气地走了。这时，我发现小伙伴们正追赶着几匹马，我也毫不犹豫追赶了上去。由于这里地海拔很高，跑着跑着，我们的体力渐渐不支了，这时我一不小心被一坨马粪拌倒了，全身泥土不说，脚还扭伤了，爸爸妈妈立刻冲了过来扶起我，这时的我疼痛难忍，眼看着脚踝越肿越大，妈妈焦急万分的找来了冰水给我局部冰敷，还不停的安慰我。待我们休息片刻后，爸爸妈妈就轮流背着我继续爬山。即使爸爸妈妈再累，也丝毫没有放慢脚步，特别是趴在妈妈那瘦弱的后背上，我能明显的感受到妈妈呼吸急促的声音，但她还是继续坚持不懈地背着我继续前进，这时我忍不住悄悄地流下了眼泪，心中万分后悔。

第一次爬山是在刚刚放暑假的时候，山的名字叫做老虎山，听上去比较有气势。正好是在周末的时间，我们一家四口开始向老虎山发起进攻，首先乘坐公交车到城外的五岭山附近，这一片最为出名便是老虎山了，如今征服此山就在今天。

眼前这座山名唤花果山，它的最高峰玉女峰是江苏省的最高地。我今天的目标，便是想去峰顶体验一把“一览众山小”的快感。正当我心潮澎湃之际，已不知不觉入了山。

一进山，扑面而来的清凉使我醒了神儿，恍惚间，又觉着有万缕轻柔的绿丝牵引着我，让我想更加深入，去探索一个未知的世界。

山中的石径潮湿陡峭，须得一步一阶方能稳住身子。我便这样缓慢而平稳地踱向高处。愈行愈高，绿意也愈深沉。与山脚活泼俏皮的小树不同，山中的古树少了那份童稚的可爱，多了一份长者的沧桑，让我不禁肃然起敬，呼吸变得轻缓，脚步越发庄重，眼神是前所未有的肃穆与敬畏，仿佛在完成一个人的朝圣。

到山腰，开始有些疲惫。刚拿出橘子想抚慰一下可怜的肚子，却有两道火热的目光迫使我不得不注意。那是一只小猴子，直楞楞地盯着橘子，眼中满是渴望，那可怜巴巴的样子当真叫你不忍。我小心地递了一个过去，它就熟练地剥开皮，将果肉一瓣一瓣地送到嘴里。我正看得有趣，它突然向我伸出手勾了勾，像在讨食。我把空空如也的手一摊，它便飞也似地窜走了。我则怀着愉悦的心情继续我的旅程。

越近山顶，我越力不从心。有好几次甚至想放弃，但总是咬了牙坚持下去。到了山顶的那一刻，我几乎是一个踉跄跌坐下去。稍缓片刻，我再接再厉，手脚并用地爬上了最高的岩石。

我激动着，希望能感受前所未见的美景，可一低头，差点儿没把我气晕过去。底下一片雾海，还点缀着几堆垃圾。我很失望，想不到努力换来的却是这样的结果。

其实现在想想，人生亦是如此。你拼尽全力到达峰顶，不一定能看到你想要的美景，但你在登顶途中所感受到的愉悦是任何事物都无法比拟的，知道自己努力过、坚持过，就足够了。

今天，我们健美操搞活动，举行登西湖山比赛，我们在健美操学校集合，和健美操的同学一起上山，我一来到山脚就想：今天爬山一定要夺第一名!我们在山脚整好队就开始了，整队时，老师说：“同学们，今天我们登山就是要快乐，最重要的是安全，我们要注意安全，不然我们这个登山就变得不快乐了。”

同学们说：“知道了老师。”老师说：“我讲一下规则啊!就是在一个牌子上写了老年什么的，就开始跑，跑到塔的下面，到曹老师那里登记。”老师说完，我们就整整齐齐的排着队上山了，可刚走一段路我就不想走了，为了夺得第一名，我只好继续走了，到了老师说的开始比赛的地点，我迫不及待的想到山顶，我先热了热身，在地上跺了几脚，就跑上去了，其它同学也迫不及待的跑上去，我和我们班的小陈一起跑，跑累了就喝水，一转眼一瓶水就喝完了，我们还是继续跑，因为我们都想得第一名，同学们都很努力，到了比赛的地点，我才得了第5名，第一名的竟然是一个比我小几个月的妹妹，哎，我真的要向她学习啊!

我一定要超过小妹妹，努力锻炼好身体。我们登到山顶上，老师安排我们拍一个集体照，我们拍好后，老师要我们一起玩游戏，叫：传水瓶、贴药膏，我们先玩了传水瓶，我们选一个人传，老师一吹口哨我们就要开始，再吹了一次就是停止，拿到水瓶的人就要表演节目，我好惨，一传就是我表演节目，我唱了歌，名字叫：小树。后面还举行了贴药膏的游戏……今天，虽然登山很累，但是我和健美操的同学都玩得很开心。

that are not badly needed. Thats a waste of money.

All in all, I love shopping online.

放假的时候，我们一家人乘车去爬山。来到山脚下，我抬头仰望，只见山上翠柏苍松，白云缭绕，真是一幅美丽的风景画！一开始我以火箭般的速度往上爬，不一会儿，就把爸爸妈妈远远地甩在后边儿了。然而这种高速运动没坚持多久，豆大的汗珠就一滴一滴从额头上落下，我只觉得头昏脑涨，四肢发软。于是我赶紧找了一块干净的石头坐了下来。

过了一会儿，眼看着爸爸妈妈就要追上来了。我立马起身继续往上爬，突然一个不小心，“哎呀！”我摔倒了，膝盖磕破了皮，直淌血。我拿出口袋里的纸巾把血擦了擦，刚要继续往上爬，膝盖的疼好像一个恶魔似的把我给拉住了，使我停住了脚步。于是，我又坐下来休息了一会儿。这时爸爸妈妈距离我就只有五米远了。我扶着栏杆，慢慢站起来，可流血处感觉麻麻的，就是使不上劲儿，要不就这么放弃吧。我抬头往上看了看，只有一小段路就到山顶了，只要坚持走上去，胜利就是属于我的了！想到这，我忍着痛，一步一步爬上了山顶。

站在山顶上，放眼远眺，只见天际白云悠悠，大地一片碧绿……

今天天气晴朗，爸爸带着我去爬山。

天平山的风景真美啊!轻风抚摸着我的头，仿佛在欢迎来爬山的客人。小鸟在树上欢叫着，好像在说：你好。树叶沙沙作响，好像在弹奏一首美妙的曲子令人心旷神怡。

爬到半山腰，爸爸突然说要和我比赛。比就比，爸爸跑得肯定没我快，我赢定了!开始了，我使出浑身解数，在山坡上飞奔。可一转眼，爸爸居然不见了。

我非常紧张，感觉天旋地转。苍白色的阳光，格外的炙热，好像要把我烤熟，本就紧张的心情更烦躁了。小鸟叽叽喳喳地叫着，好像在嘲笑我走失了，大树的沙沙声也消失了，被太阳烤得有气无力。爸爸!爸爸!你在哪里?

忽然，一个带黑框眼镜的人，出现在我的眼前爸爸!我一下跳进了爸爸的怀里，小鸟不叫了，太阳送来万道金光，温暖舒适，恰好轻风姐姐路过，给我们带来了花朵的芳香，大树又精神起来。

走着走着，我忽然感觉腿开始发软，有点累，可我还是硬着头皮坚持着。终于，我扛不住了，行动也越来越慢。爸爸也察觉了，冲我喊道：小运动健将，这就爬不动了?也不过如此嘛，果然还是我更胜一筹啊。

爸爸的话激起了我的斗志，瞬间身体充满力量，我怎么会认输呢，我一定可以的。我一咬牙，憋足气，硬是爬到了山顶。果然，山顶的风景更加美丽。大树郁郁葱葱，阳光也更明亮了，似乎都在为我欢呼。

但我知道，山顶最美丽的地方，不是风景。

今天，是一个阳光明媚的好天气。在这样的凉风习习的日子里，我与奶奶去登玉皇山。 Today is a sunny and good weather.In such a cool wind, I and my grandmother went to Yuhuangshan.

我们先乘198路公交车，在换12路，终于，我们来到了目的地——玉皇山。

来到玉皇山脚下，真是觉得它是十分的气势不凡。虽

说没有香山那么红叶似火，也没有泰山那么高大雄伟，可它的身上，不断的散发着“清香”，“淳朴”的气息。

开始登山了，这是我第一次近距离接触大自然，那景色可真美呀!你瞧，旭日正在升腾，春姑娘已经来临了，你快举起双手去拥抱这个美丽的春天吧!从老玉皇宫上去之后，那后面的景色，更是美不胜收!百花吐艳，树林里有了生机，阵阵清幽的草香，木香，引来了翻飞的蝴蝶。于是静谧的树林，变得热闹了。你看，就是那呢喃的燕子，也从南方飞回来了。向阳坡上的小草，钻出地皮，露葱似的嫩芽;河边的柳枝地变成了暗红色，芽苞裂开了嫩绿的嘴儿哩!这也说明了一句话:三月阳春，春见徐徐，吹绿了山，吹皱了水，吹得万树千枝叠锦披翠!大地上的万物呈现出一派生机勃勃的景象!

不知不觉中，我爬到了半山腰，便感到十分的疲惫。我气喘吁吁地对奶奶说：“奶奶，我······我······不爬了，太累了!我们下山吧!”，“不行，”奶奶十分的坚定，说：“既然把上来了，就不要放弃，不要半途而废，记着一句话：坚持就是胜利!

你，我都不能下山!”“哦。”我十分的无奈!在往上一看，哦，天哪，山路弯弯曲曲往上延伸;羊肠小路越来越陡，越来越窄，可是，人家都是跑着上去，蹦着下来，仿佛对他来讲，这简直就是“小菜一碟”。不大一会，我就大汗淋漓了。坐下来休息一会时，我抬头一看，主峰像压在我的头上似的。唉，还没有爬到山的三分之二。但是，“坚持就是胜利”，这个信念一直在我心中荡漾。所以，我不能放弃，记着：“坚持就是胜利”!

之后，我到了山顶，我在“天人合一”上，大喊了一声：“坚持就是胜利!”顿时，所有的烦恼都抛之脑后了，感觉空气十分清新!

今天，这爬山让我知道了一个道理：凡事做了便不能放弃，半途而废，要有耐心。因为“坚持就是胜利“!

周末阳光明媚，我们与张文博一家相约去爬岳麓山。

到了岳麓山脚下真是人山人海啊！出发啰！我和姐姐先冲了上去，张文博看见了像箭一般地超过了我们。三个人你追我赶，气喘吁吁地爬到了半山腰。

我们在半山腰看见了一位卖糖葫芦的叔叔。一串串红彤彤的糖葫芦在阳光的直射下闪闪发光，十分诱人。我们不由自主地围了上去，张妈妈看见我们一副馋相，马上给每个孩子买了一串。姐姐急吼吼地撕开了整个袋子，然后上下舔了起来。张文博撕开一小节袋子，迫不及待地咬下一个山楂。因为他嘴巴太小了，咬也咬不动，吞也吞不下，只好含在嘴巴里，鼓起了一个大包，乐得我们哄堂大笑起来。我慢慢地撕开了顶上的袋子，舔了一下：“啊！真甜！”然后咬了一小口，一股酸酸甜甜的味道顿时充满了整个口腔。

越往上山路越陡峭，“真累啊！”我们一边喘气，一边感叹着。我对妈妈说：“我爬不动了。”妈妈鼓励我：“不能半途而废哦！”这时候爸爸指着路边：“看，那是一颗什么树？”我顺着爸爸手指的方向看去，一颗弯弯曲曲光秃秃的树呈现在我面前。“咦！好丑啊！上面还有伤疤呀！”爸爸笑着对我说：“你喜欢桃花吗？”我使劲点点头：“喜欢！喜欢！我好喜欢粉红色的桃花！”“这是一颗桃树，”爸爸一边抚摸着树干一边说：“别看它的叶子现在掉光了，其实它在默默地积攒着力量，为来年满树桃花的盛开做准备。”这时候我的心仿佛被触动了，没有什么事情能随随便便的成功，任何目标都需要经过漫长的准备和努力才能完成。想到这里我浑身充满了力量，又可以往上爬山了。我重新站了起来，奋力地向山顶走去。终于到了山顶，我一边大口地呼吸着新鲜空气，一边观赏着岳麓山的美景。啊！山顶的风景如一幅幅美丽的图画。我看见了层林尽染的橘子洲头，漫江碧透的湘江，错落有致的房子。我感觉长沙就在我的眼睛里。

今天真开心啊！我感觉到了爬山的快乐！
