Victor Hugo was good at combatting the characteristics and he did pay attention to the struggle between classes. In The Miserable World, the famous book in the world, he describes the changges of the main character, Jean Valjean, from a common human being to devil and then to a lovely angel. He expects that the human has good characters in the society. In the book, he also tells the readers the various aspects in the really world. He hopes that people have good manners and noble moral.

The Miserable World is a novel which reflects the miserable life and the misfortunate of the poor guys in France when it is the middle of nineteen century. The name of the book indicates the suffering from the great difficulities. The book put emphsis on the tradegy and the position of the low classes and this is the most exciting and important aspect, which makes the readers have deep thinking about the life.

In the details of the book, we know the men are upset because they were in the low class and were having a poor life, women’ behavior deviates from what is acceptable especially in sexual behavior because of starving and children are so weak that they can grow strong and keep healthy in the old days of the world. So the author, Victor Hugo, hoped that all the people could have a bright future and have a good life, and the the famous work came into being. We know that the autho, Victor Hugo, had a boarder sense. He thought because if the world continued to stay as it was, the world could come to an end. The great artist were very brave to fight against the old displines. This novel is of great value because it describes history and reality in the past. We, people in modern society, should learn something from it and try to make the world perfect and harmony.

Every one faces the problem of choosing an occupation after graduation from college or university, which plays a vital role in his life. An appropriate occupation makes a man work with zest and vigor, as well as contribute to his country.

To make a wise choice, two important things should be taken into consideration. One is the interest, the other, the demands of people and society. Only if the two aspects are connected, can a man show his talent and ability to the best advantage. If the two conflict, the former should be under the latter, for the peoples interests are more important than the individuals.

In regard to my choice in the future, I am fond of learning foreign languages; what is more, with the implementation of the Open-Door Policy, exchange between home and abroad in economy and culture has been growing significantly, thus Im determined to be a qualified interpreter.

My father is a typical man, who is not very talkative. When other fathers

say how much they love their children, my father just keep quiet. He barely says

sweet words to me. But he will never miss every important moment for me, like

the performance in school. He is always one of the audience and watch my

performance. My father tells me to study with passion and he sets the good

example for me, because he loves his work. Sometimes he shows me his design of

work, and I admire him. I know my father loves me so much. Though he doesnt

talk much, he will be right by my side whenever I need him.

I am highly disappointed in the proposed 2004-05 budget cuts to educa1ion.

Taking away basic aid status and slashing our school budgets is a recipe for

educational disaster in our school. The future lies with our children. They must

have access to high quality educa1ion.

My husband and I have worked hard to be able to live in a school district

that provides high quality education for our children. Cutting funding in

districts like ours will have a negative impact on property values.

The school that my daughter attends is hardly wha1 I would describe as a

"rich" school. Parents are asked to pay for books for all the classes, science

supplies and for their students to participate in the performing arts among

other items. If our school is to remain a world leader in technological

development, cutting our school funds is the worst possible choice to make.

Education funds should not be diverted away from education.

Normally I will be very happy and excited when I get the lucky money. And all of a sudden, the problem comes that how to make full use of them. I think it is highly determined by how much it is. Graduation is a time of moving on, further studies, or out into the society? There are a lot of choices which we are supposed to make and we are emotional at the graduation season. What’s more, we usually have a variety of activities about graduation, such as taking photos, having a class party, leaving words to each other in our memory collections, exchanging gifts between friends to memorize our friendship, giving teacher presents to express our thanks.

However, we have mixed emotions about farewell. We want to spend more time having fun and working with each other, but we have to move on. Facing many choices about our future makes us confused; meanwhile the coming farewell makes us sentimental. As long as these feelings come along, we have to deal with it. We should know that after graduation we will learn more and be more experienced. Being apart with our friends and classmates is temporary, next time we meet each other, we will live a better life and share our different colorful experiences with each other.

team.

I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath

University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research

laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly

like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the

plant life of the area.

I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I

consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an

expedition.

真是可惜，这一次登山，我竟然错过了一次挑战的机会，到底是什么原因，马上就给大家讲一讲。

这一次，我们从小路登山，首先，经过一片枣树林，满地的枣刺密密麻麻，我们走在上面，鞋底下也都插满了枣刺，不过，最终还是走到了了一段平路。

好了，言归正传，我们走上了错路，那时，我们跟着几个同学走到了右边，可是，刚好有两个同学走到了左边，我一看，整个人都开始了纠结，是他们走错了，还是我们走错了呢？

我一看，老师也走这边，于是，就跟着老师向前走去，可是，一路上，我的心里都在想着要是走错路了该怎么办，我们该怎么跟上他们，到底是走没走错啊。

我们的老师说，应该是走这里没有错，可是我往前看，却没有一丝人走过的痕迹，于是我断定他们可能和我们走的不是一条路，也就是说，我们走错路了。

我的猜测果然没错，我们是走错了，因为我们到了耕读书院门口，还没有一个人，也就是说，我们是最早到这里的人，也是最早进去的人。

可是，等他们回来的时候，才发现，他们竟然爬了一个没有爬过的山，真是太可惜了，没有跟他们一起去，不过，以后应该还有机会吧。

这就是我为什么觉得可惜的原因了，真希望下一次我们还会爬那座山。

妈妈和哥哥虽然被甩在了后面，可是他们一直努力着，慢慢地爬山，原来妈妈和哥哥在保存体力呢!过了一会儿，妈妈和哥哥都跑到了我前面。我心里想：“小健，你可不能输给他们呀!你不是常说你是爬山能手吗?”想到这里，我又开始冲刺了，终于超过了妈妈和哥哥。过了不久，我气喘吁吁，腿都麻了，这时我的脚步慢了下来，妈妈和哥哥的讲话声的越来越大了，他们好像追上来了。

我想：我不能在最后的关头输给他们。于是我一鼓作气，终于第一个到达了山顶。山顶的风景可真美呀：山下的汽车就像一只只小蚂蚁，远处的高楼在云雾萦绕中若隐若现，十分美丽。

Cinderella is a beautiful girl. She has two ugly stepsisters. They are not kind to Cinderella. Cinderella does all of the work. She must cook, clean and do everything.

One day, a letter comes to the house. It is a letter from the prince. He will have a big party. He would like the three girls to come. The prince wants to find a wife. Cinderella cant go to the party because she doesnt have beautiful clothes. Her stepsisters have beautiful clothes. They look very happy. Cinderella is very sad. Cinderellas stepsisters leave the house. They are going to the princes party. Cinderella cries. She also wants to go to the party. Suddenly, a woman shows up. She is a kind fairy.

"Dont worry," says the fairy. "You can go to the princes party." "I cant go," cries Cinderella. "I dont have a nice dress."

It will be all right," says the fairy. "Go get a pumpkin, six mice and a rat." Cinderella quickly finds them. "What will you do?" Cinderella asks. The fairy waves her wand over the pumpkin.

The pumpkin is now a beautiful silver coach. The fairy waves her wand over the six mice. She changes them into six strong men. The six men will walk with the coach. Then the fairy changes the rat into a man. He is the driver of the coach.

The coach is beautiful, but Cinderella still looks sad. "I still cant go to the party. My dress is too ugly," she says. "Dont worry," says the fairy. She waves her wand and makes Cinderellas dress beautiful.

Now Cinderella has a nice dress. It is gold and very pretty. Her shoes are made of glass. Cinderella is so beautiful. She can go to the party.

"You must leave the party before twelve oclock," says the fairy. "At 12:00 the magic will end."

"I will be back before twelve oclock," says Cinderella. She gets into the coach to go to the party.

The princes palace is full of people. They are all happy to be at the big party. All the girls want to marry the prince. Then Cinderella walks into the palace. "Who is she?" everyone asks. "Shes so beautiful," they say.

The prince sees Cinderella. He asks her to dance with him. All night long they dance and talk. The prince and Cinderella fall in love. At twelve oclock, Cinderella runs out of the palace.

Cinderella runs and loses one of her glass shoes. She must get home before twelve. She is late. She runs into the house. Now, she is wearing her old dress again.

The prince finds Cinderellas shoe. "I know this shoe. It belongs to that beautiful girl. Ill find her," he says. The next morning, he goes from house to house to find her. He goes to Cinderellas house. The two ugly stepsisters try on the shoe, but their feet are too big.

"Can I try it on?" asks Cinderella. "Yes," the prince says, so Cinderella tries the shoe on. It fits her foot. "I have found my princess," the prince says. Soon Cinderella and the prince get married. They live happily ever after.

周末，妈妈带我去浙大玉泉校区爬老和山。

我站在老和山脚下抬头望：天色有些灰蒙，绵绵细雨犹如我连绵不绝的哀愁，下个不停。布满青苔的石级在参天大树的掩映下显得更加阴森而一望无际。我不禁倒抽一口冷气，脚底发凉，心里发慌。

妈妈似乎看穿了我的心事，拍着我的肩膀鼓励道：“书山有路勤为径，学海无涯苦作舟。孩子，我们走吧！”我踌躇再三，终于迈出了艰难的第一步。

被雨水浸润的石级显得格外湿滑，狭窄的石级两边都没有栏杆，倘若一不小心就会跌落山谷。我本能地张开双手，小心翼翼地抬起腿放到台阶上，确定脚底没有打滑，才敢抬起另外一条腿。就这样，一步、两步、三步……我战战兢兢地向上挪动。不知是雨水还是汗水，才一会的功夫，我已浑身湿透。

约莫一刻钟的功夫，我和妈妈都登上了山顶，视野豁然开朗。从山顶的凉亭向下望去，整个玉泉校区尽收眼底，摩天大楼瞬间成了乐高玩具。就连西湖也微缩成了一个大玉盘，道路上行驶的汽车如同小蚂蚁一般缓缓爬行着。

我兴奋地拉着妈妈东看西看，妈妈则语重心长地对我说：“学习和爬山是一样的，只要你坚持，就可以看到最美的风景。”

像往常一样，我们家三个人在周日这天，又如约而至的来到山脚下，准备这周的爬山运动。每周日，我们家都会来爬山，是运动，也是休闲。

这周日我们换了一座没去过的山，准备去看看这座山的风景。都说“早起的鸟儿有虫吃”，这句话的确没错，因为我们家每次去爬山的时间都非常早，这次也不例外，然而这次去的山是一个著名的景点区，是要收门票的，这一点我们不知道，但更没想到的是，因为我们去的时间很早，门口买票的工作人员们说我们不用买票，直接进去玩就可以了，他们还祝我们玩得开心。一大清早就遇到这样幸运的事情，我们这山就爬起来更带劲了。

爸爸走在前面，妈妈因为我走得慢，陪我走在后面。在前面走的爸爸，一边爬一边看，左看看右看看，看见什么好玩的东西，就嚷嚷着我们赶紧跟上他。我呢，不是体力不行的爬得慢，而是我比爸爸的看还要“贪玩”，爸爸还只是左看看右看看，我的看就是“上天入地”地看了，我不仅要把树上的小玩意儿琢磨一会儿，还要看见一只小动物就想尽办法找到它们的洞穴，不看看它们生活的“全貌”，我就不罢休。妈妈也就在我们中间起到传声筒的作用了，一会儿让我快一点儿，一会儿又让爸爸慢一点儿，她自己则在中间气喘吁吁地看我让她看的又看爸爸让她看的，后来把她整累了，她干脆也不管我们俩了，自己也开始站在山边看山下的风景，感受山里的新鲜空气。

我们家爬山也不全是这样三个人走三条“不同的路”，我们仨在大多数时候还是肩并肩走在山间的小道上，爸爸更是经常帮我和妈妈背我们带的那些水和干粮，谁累了的时候，我们都会一起停下来休息，吃吃背包里的干粮喝喝带来的水，有时候看见山泉了，爸爸就会让我们先等等，他拿着一只空水瓶去给我们接山泉水，每次看着我和妈妈喝到他接回来的山泉水，爸爸就会露出他那天真的像个山里孩子的笑容，满意地望着我俩。

Many people regard money as the most important thing in their life, but I

dont agree with them. There are so many things that money cant buy. The first,

money cant buy us knowledge, abilities and experience. The second, money cant

buy us a happy mood and a good health.

However, money plays a significant role in our daily life. We cant live

without it, because we have to use money to buy our daily necessities, like

food, drinks, clothes, books, and so on. And we also need money to pay for our

houses and education.

秋风飒飒，天气晴朗，今天真是一个爬山的好日子啊！我们一家人来到了，大雁山森林公园，准备爬上山顶。

这座山真高啊！高得直插入云霄！山路也很陡峭，似乎每走一步都让人心惊胆颤。

哇，还要爬上这么高的山峰，肯定要累死人了！还没出发我的脚已经吓软了，心里已经咚咚地打起了退堂鼓。爸爸似乎看透了我的心思，就将我一军道：“你不会不敢了吧？”“谁不敢！”我用铿锵有力的语气，回答爸爸。

到了半山腰的时候，我已经累得气喘吁吁了，汗流浃背了，脚沉得抬不起来。我坐在亭子里，想到，我是男子汉，不能轻言放弃，更何况“有志者事竟成”嘛！我这么想着，腿脚已经充满了无穷无尽的力量。我和爸爸妈妈要勇往直前了。

我手扶着栏杆，一步一步的向前走去。我回头一看，爸爸妈妈还在后面呢。他们似乎每走一步都用尽了全身的力量，我跑回去，扶着他们一步一步的向前走去。

来到了陡峭的地方，我们手脚并用地爬过去了。

我的手脚已经起泡泡了。一次次想要放弃，可是爬了这么高了，不能半途而废，要坚持不懈，才能成功，山顶的美景和成功在向我招手，我又继续向前走。

经历千辛万苦后，我终于爬到了山顶，站在山顶看到的风景，可真漂亮啊！回想起刚才的经历，使我感到自豪。我明白了：做事不能半途而废，要坚持不懈才能成功的道理。

上个暑假，我和小阿姨一起去爬同山。在那里，我真正深刻体会到了一个道理。

刚开始爬时，我精力充沛，一路小跑着上山，“心怡，慢点！”而阿姨却在后面喊着。我不但不听，反而加快了步子，想让周围的人都见证我的体力。不过一会，阿姨就被我远远地甩在了后面。但渐渐地，我的体力开始折扣，汗水也冒了出来。我喘着粗气，一步一步地爬。当我爬完一大半山程时，体力全部跟我说拜拜了，衣服上全是汗水，额头也在发烫，气更是喘个不停。当我打算返回时，突然看见了这样一幅震撼人心的画面：一位拖着病腿的残疾人一步步慢慢地爬着，他眉头紧皱，喘着粗气，更是大汗淋淋，他一手紧紧握着登山杖，一手抱着大腿，每一步都是那么艰难。我心想：“一位残疾人都能坚持上山，我为什么不能？”于是我顿感精神，一大步一大步向山顶出发，这时，小阿姨也赶了上来，我们顺利地爬到了山顶。山顶是个能插香的寺庙，在那里，我看到了远处高大华丽的城楼和美丽的风景。更重要的是，我看到了在寺庙旁大口喝水的那个残疾叔叔，是的，拖着病腿的他也爬上了山顶！

鸟瞰着下面的风景，我不禁想到了毛泽东主席的一句话：“世上无难事，只要肯登攀”是啊，世上根本就没有难事，只要你有心去做并坚持不懈，任何事都能迎刃而解。同学们，你们懂了吗？

这个暑假为了好好地锻炼身体，我、妈妈、姐姐，还有我的两个好朋友每天早晨约着一起去爬山。六点钟我们就在山脚下碰面，然后一口气爬到山顶。因为山不是很高，约摸半个小时就到山顶了。即便 如此，到山顶我们也是气喘吁吁、大汗淋漓。山顶上，一位阿姨在做佳木斯舞步健身操，因为动作比较简单，对身体又非常好，我们一群人就跟在她后面做。我们这几个小孩也做得很认真，有一节抬臂 的动作做了几遍后，胳膊真的好酸啊。路人看着我们做的有趣，纷纷驻足回望。虽然一整套做完后，我们个个都累得不轻，但锻炼了身体，觉得身体很舒服，心情也很好。

暑假已经过了将近二十天，这二十天的爬山给了我很多启发。坚持不懈，是我学到的最重要的功课。一开始，五点半起床，六点爬山，真的是很不想起床。被窝真舒服啊，好像再赖床一会儿。刚开始每 次都是妈妈把我拽起来，我惺忪着双眼到山脚下。后来就养成了习惯，起床也没有那么困难了。爬山也是如此，刚开始爬起来很累，爬着爬着就轻松啦。到最后，爬起山来健步如飞。有好几次都觉得累 不想爬了，但想到我的朋友都等着我，我就坚持了下来。坚持到现在，我觉得收获很大。爬山不仅锻炼了身体，也锻炼了我的意志。我想，在以后的学习中，这种坚持不懈的精神也是值得提倡的。
