I was very interested in your advertisement in todays edition of The Evening Post and I should like to apply to be a member of the Amazon Expedition team.

I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the plant life of the area.

I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an expedition.

Today is June 21st, Fathers Day. There is an indescribable feeling in my

星期天一大早，妈妈问我今天去哪儿玩，我一看天气不错，就提议说：“我们去爬航坞山吧！”妈妈同意了，于是我们就出门了！

不一会儿我们就来到了山脚下，我兴奋地撒腿就向上冲，步伐特别轻松，妈妈则不紧不慢的跟在我后面，但当我爬了四、五层台阶时，感觉腿变软了，呼吸也急促起来，只好停下来休息，看到妈妈跟上来了，我难为情地说：“妈妈，我好累，我爬不动了。”妈妈微笑着说：“因为你开始爬得太快了呀！所以力气一下子用完了，接下来我们朝着目标慢慢走，一定能到达山顶的。”听了妈妈的话，我放慢了脚步，再一次向着山顶进发。

我和妈妈一边欣赏风景一边聊天，不知不觉山顶就在前方了，而这时，妈妈反倒体力不支了，我就像个男子汉一样不断地鼓励她，要想登顶就要努力和坚持哦！妈妈笑了，我们相互地击了个掌，最终都坚持到了最后，妈妈还对我竖起大拇指呢！

尽管爬山很累，但我们都很开心，就像妈妈说的，这是“累并收获着”！

今天正好是星期六，天气晴朗，阳光明媚，暖暖的阳光照在身上，让人产生外出游玩的冲动。怀着无比兴奋的心情，我们一家很快来到了道吾山。

道吾山苍劲雄伟、层林叠嶂、绿树成荫。刚上山，我就被山边上巨大的松树给吸引住了。爸爸说，它们就是传说中的引路松。引路松高大挺拔，枝繁叶茂，爸爸妈妈两个人伸开双手才能勉强把它围住，据说这颗引路松已经有几百年历史了。我忍不住轻轻地靠在树边上，温柔地抚摸着它，就像给老爷爷挠痒痒一样。在一阵微风的吹拂下，引路松整个树叶发出沙沙的声音，好像在微笑着欢迎我这个远道而来的小客人。

山边上，一道溪水唱着欢快的歌曲顺流而下，我弯下腰，合起双手，轻轻地捧起溪水往脸上一拨，哇，来了个透心凉!凉爽的溪水将爬山带来的所有疲惫冲得一干二净，让我充满了力量，更让我增加了战胜困难顺利登顶的信心。

我们沿着小路继续往山上爬，有时候会在一个台阶上停下脚步，闭上眼睛，倾听山林里悠扬婉转的鸟鸣声、沟谷中如钢琴般动听的水流声，这些声音忽远忽近，但都能传到耳朵里。抬起头，还能看到山雾如薄纱般轻轻地披在山腰上，仔细看起来，这里简直就是青山绿水、鸟语花香的人间仙境!

行走在如诗如画的山林中，爸爸说：“只要我们大家热爱大自然，用心呵护大自然。大自然一定能还给我们一个宁静、美丽的环境，让我们在喧嚣的城市外，找到一处令人流连忘返的旅游佳境。”听到这里，我吸了一口新鲜空气，加快步伐，信心满满地往山上冲……

国庆期间，我们全家一起去欣赏了崛围山上如织如绘的红叶。

站在山脚下，仰望山顶，看见巍峨的山峰上矗立着一座高大的塔，它似一位无比威严的将军，气宇轩昂地站在山顶上俯瞰着崛峗山上无际的红叶。再一看，上山的路极其陡峭，几乎笔直的台阶，紧紧地贴在山上，我的心里不免有些胆怯：这么陡，能爬得上去吗?但是秀丽的红叶像磁石一样，牢牢地吸引着我的脚步。于是，我又坚定信心，鼓起勇气继续前行。

我小心翼翼地扶着台阶边的铁链，一步一步往上爬，没爬多久，我便感到腿越来越沉，像灌了铅一样，我想：这下应该快到山顶了吧?回头往山下一看，山脚才刚刚没过我们走过的地方。我像泄了气的皮球一样瘫坐在石阶上，正犹豫间，看到络绎不绝从身边涌过向上爬山的人，有年迈的老人，有天真活泼的孩童，他们都在坚持往山顶上爬。可是我呢?只是爬了那么一点儿，就撑不住了，山顶上美丽的红叶是为了爬上山顶的人开放的，它们在歌颂登山人的坚持不懈和持久的毅力，它们用自己美丽的外表告诉我们：看，我们一直在开放，在等着登上山顶的成功者。于是，我又重新燃起了向上爬的勇气，奋力向山顶爬去。才爬到山腰，我吁了口气，发现沿途的风景是那么美丽：红叶到处可见，还有五颜六色的花，一簇簇挤着，挨着，它们是红叶树下的精灵，和红叶一起在连绵不断的山脉中点缀着大自然的风景。终于快到山顶了，抬头一看，呀!已经能看见宝塔了，我越爬越勇，像赛场上的运动员一样，爆发出了按捺不住的动力。

那是大班放暑假的第二天，上午天气晴朗，有点闷热。爸爸兴高采烈地对我说：“儿子，今天老爸带你去爬山，欣赏美丽的山顶风景。”我欣然答应。于是我们来到了东渚著名的大阳山。

我和爸爸来到山脚下，抬起头，望着看不到山顶的大阳山，爸爸说：“爬到山顶上就可以欣赏到世界上最美的风景。”我期待的看着爸爸。

刚开始爬，我力气满满，非常轻松，可爬到半山腰时，我的身体像灌了铅似的越来越沉重，爸爸看到我这样，于是我们休息了一会儿，又继续向上爬，爬了很久，眼看快到山顶时，我已经精疲力尽，我恳求爸爸带我下山，爸爸鼓励我：“再坚持一下，很快就到山顶了，古人云‘会当临绝顶，一览众山小’你不想体验一下这种感受吗？”我气喘吁吁的说：“爸爸，我真的爬不动了，腿已经挪不开了，我想回去了……”爸爸无奈的带我下山了。

那一次我没能坚持到底，很遗憾，错过了山顶的美丽风景。我懂得了，做任何事，付出努力，并且坚持到底，会有收获。学习也是，坚持到底就会取得好成绩。

今天，我和芳芳去爬龙山，乘车到了龙山。我们奋力向上爬。真是一步一个脚印啊!可真累!天气虽然有点冷，可我们爬得热火朝天，爬了一会儿，腿真酸哪，四处张望，也没有休息的地方，怎么办呢?只好继续爬，忍着腿酸。

又爬了一会儿，我们可算看见了一个亭子，可以休息了。我们喝了点水，继续爬。时间一分一秒过去了，我们终于爬到了半山腰，那有一座"龙王庙"，我们去"拜访"了一下。芳芳说：“累死我了，我们还是回去吧!我可不要爬了!”“不行。”我断然拒绝，“我们怎么可以半途而废呢?”芳芳听了我的话，也不再多说什么。

我心里想着一定要瞧瞧电视台是怎样的，不管有多么困难，有多么累，也一定要坚持下去。我们一步一步地继续爬着，向下望去，真的好深呐!向远处望去，只见一片绿色，中间点缀着几棵红枫，绿中透着隐隐约约的红，真是好美啊!我看见前面的山路凹凸不平，很崎岖，我们艰难地爬了上去，遇到了一些不速之客—虫子，吓得我心里发毛。大约过了十五分钟，我终于登上了山顶。

再看看我的样子，像一个泻了气的皮球，浑身已没有了四两劲，脑子发涨了好几倍，眼里冒出无数金星，脚底还直打颤。这时，妈妈看我快不行了，就在我身后给我打气。我呢，也就鼓足勇气，咬紧牙关登上了山顶。

我躺在绿油油的、软软的草地上，微风吹在我的脸上，多舒服啊!我站了起来俯视着山坡。只见，在陡峻危立的绝壁上，一株株倔强的青松穿过白色的薄雾，在微风中婆娑起舞，好像有意向人们炫耀它那妩媚娇美的英姿。再看，满山坡的向露的乱石，在阳光下面更加显得苍老丑陋，仿佛一些癞疤的秃头似的。

今天，我爬上了埭头山山顶。

上一次和姨夫一起爬山。那山呀，爬的我可累呀!结果爬到三分之一我就气馁了，便错过了后来的美丽风景。这一次我一定不会放弃。

开始来到山脚，望着那长长的楼梯，我不禁一惊。我深呼吸了一口，在心里对自己说：加油，这点难度怎么会过不了呢!我给自己加油打气后，开始登上漫长的旅途。

或许是我太兴奋了，又或许是看我弟弟妹妹走得比我快，怕赶不上他们，我一下子走了几十层梯子。见不远处有个亭子，几个小孩蹦蹦跳跳地猛跑上去。坐在亭子里，大口大口的呼吸着山上的新鲜的空气，欣赏山中那些正在开放的花朵。花瓣小小的，花朵儿也小小的，一个紧挨着一个，淡黄淡黄的，发出清幽的香味。我走进摘下一朵，嗅嗅它的芳香，顿时心旷神怡。转头瞧去，见那些大人快跟了上来，又开始往上爬。

最最艰难的是爬“山顶”了(其实后来我才知道这还不是山顶，但那时我心里以为这就是山顶)。“山顶”的路比前面的路难走多了，都是沿着山弯来弯去。本以为体力快要恢复的我可以一口气爬上山顶，万万没想到这比我想象中的要难多了。

那是我已筋疲力尽，额头上布满汗珠，原本穿着的蓝色外衣早已绑在腰间。脚上就好像绑了铅球一样重，沉重的步伐不得不使我停下脚步。但我并没有放弃，用袖子擦擦汗珠，一步，两步向上走。实在走不了了，会依靠旁边的柱子来支撑，但我始终没有停下一步。

尽管这不是真正的“山顶”，但最后我依然爬上了埭头山山顶，看到了美丽的景色。

我的老家位于三县交界之地，山峦起伏，偏远闭塞，自古以来十分贫困。也许是因为生活贫穷，平时没有什么好吃的，过年时，我们那儿的人对吃十分重视，进入腊月二十五，家家户户就为吃的事忙碌了。“二十五，打豆腐；二十六，杀究究；二十七，宰阉鸡；二十八，舂糍粑；二十九，蒸烧酒。”“杀究究”是我们那儿的方言，就是杀猪。为什么要把猪叫做“究究”，我至今都没弄明白。总之，从腊月二十五忙到腊月二十九，一切忙清了，就高高兴兴过年，拜年。过了年，拜了年，破五以后，炮竹声越来越稀少，年味也渐渐淡去，我们就盼着过元宵节。

我们昐过元宵节，不是因为元宵节可以舞龙灯，耍狮子，可以吃元宵粑粑，不是。我们那里一年到头饭都吃不饱，自然就没有什么娱乐活动，别的地方过年过节舞龙灯，耍狮子，唱土地，热闹非凡。而在我们那儿，舞龙灯耍狮子只是一种奇闻异趣，只能让人产生一种神奇的向往。说起来有人可能不相信，读中学时，我都不知舞龙灯耍狮子为何物，也没见过元宵粑粑，不知元宵粑粑是一种什么味道。

我们盼元宵节，是因为元宵节那一天有爬山肉吃。

虽然儿歌里唱着“二十六，杀究究”，但也不是每一户人家都有过年猪杀。杀了过年猪也不是全部留下来自家吃，至少有一半以上的猪肉变了钱，真正能吃进自家肚子里的，也就那么一点点。所以，一过了年，家里就把吃剩的肉收藏起来，要等到客人来了才拿出来。但元宵节这一天的爬山肉，必须是新做的，因为过了元宵节，就要下地干活了。我们那里山连着山，岭连着岭，出门就爬山，干活要上岭。吃了爬山肉，翻山越岭干活，全身都是力气。

爬山肉就是腊肉，切得有巴掌大一块，肥肉透明得像玻璃，瘦肉色泽鲜红，酥香扑鼻。和煎豆腐一起煮食，肉好吃，煎豆腐更好吃，软酥酥，油汪汪，吃一口满嘴溢香，那味道一辈子都忘不了。

越往里走，路就越陡，开始行走不觉就变成手脚并用的攀登，山路约与水平面成45度角，不平不险，于二者之间，红土，小溪早已不见踪影，取而代之的是一些未名的岩石和一条水流颇急的河流泛起的微波。

我们往上窜了好一阵才又见到一段可行走的路，周围是一些零星的洞口，里面很黑，但隐约可看见几尊塑像，似一种道骨仙风，不为物役，不为情牵，荡涤在尘世之中。这才目睹了“神仙”的容貌。

到爬了过半路程时，已可看到峰顶，只见一棵魁梧的树耸立其间，树叶早已落尽，并无一丝光泽与生机，再观底下，一片银装裹素都汇于我眼，目不暇接，但大家身子不但未暖起来，反倒都冷得“打摆子”，加上山岩因气候缘故，已溢出水，极其滑，许多伙伴便决定“打道回府”，我深知“蟾岩滑石”的危险，便也忍下内心不甘的随大流而下。

我们下到山脚时，看到太阳正在西下，正所谓古人云“夕阳无限好，只是近黄昏”想起此句，便突有所触，与伙伴高谈起古诗古词，于是把心中的不愉之情早已抛之脑后，仿佛早已得登顶之悦。

今天，我和几个小朋友到横溪松石岭去爬山。

我们沿着陡峭的石子山路，艰难地爬山，每到一个平台时，我们都会停下来，歇歇脚，喝喝水，补充水分。这座山一共七个平台，最难忘的就是第五平台，因为那里有很多“放屁虫”，——臭屁虫，虽然它叫臭屁虫，但我还是接近了它，它身穿金色“盔甲”，四只细长的小脚抓着树枝，真有趣！听一位阿姨说“：这臭屁虫可千万碰不得，因为它排出的臭气很臭，它靠这种方式来保护自己，在大自然中生存下去。”

我们终于爬到了山顶，放眼望去，青山绿竹，风景优美。我看见一个小池塘，里面有许多小蝌蚪，我捉了十几只，放进矿泉水瓶中，拿回家养，然后我们就下山了。

妈妈说“：上山容易，下山难。”我却说“：不是，上山难，下山容易！”不出乎妈妈的意料，我手拿一根棒子，脚下踩着竹叶，忽然，我被那些竹叶给滑到了。摔得四脚朝天，大家都哈哈大笑，原本眼泪快要流出来的我，也跟着傻乎乎的笑了起来。我们继续沿着这蜿蜒的小路往山下走去，时不时的抱着大大的毛笋拍照留念。终于走到了山脚下，在清清的小溪里洗洗脚，洗去一天的疲劳。

风和日丽的一个早晨，我和爸爸一起去爬山。

到了山脚下，我心情十分激动，天空蓝盈盈的，朵朵白云好像拼成了一个笑脸对着我笑，一下子给我许多信心。一棵棵大树随着温和的风在摇摆着手，摆来摆去好像是向我招手呢！绿就要把我的眼睛都要照伤了，树叶一下子就落了下来，好像都在说我怎么那么不懂事。

爬到了半山腰，因为实在没有力气了，我不知不觉就滑了下去，我一下子就比爸爸慢了很多，滑下去的时候，似乎有一股热气向我扑来，阳光十分强烈，仿佛是大火炉烤着我，小鸟叽叽喳喳的大吵大闹，好像在说你真是个没用的东西，让我心烦气躁。
