一进故宫，第一眼看到的就是高大雄伟的午门。午门是故宫的”家门“，但也是斩杀犯人的地方。直到现在，午门外的砖墙上好像还残留着斑斑血迹，我的眼前还时时浮现出一个个犯人被斩首后热血喷出的场面。真是让人觉得毛骨悚然。

故宫被誉为世界上五大宫殿之首，是我国保存最完整的木质结构古建筑群，也是国家5A级旅游景区，同时它也被联合国教科文组织列为“世界文化遗产”。

故宫又名“紫禁城”。它的名字来自“紫微星”，紫微星属土，在五方属中，古代人相信紫微星位于苍穹的中心，而故宫也位于北京的中心，同时又是国家权力中心因而得名。故宫占地面积72万平方米，有大小宫殿七十多座，房屋共有九百九十九间半。据说天上玉帝有一千间房子，为了对天神的尊敬，所以建故宫时就比天上少了半间，这样神奇的传说让故宫充满了神秘色彩。

故宫城内的建筑分为外朝和内廷两部分，外朝是皇帝行使权力的地方，内廷是皇帝皇后及嫔妃生活起居的地方。站在故宫的广场上，可以看到一座座金碧辉煌的宫殿耸立着，洁白的玉石、栏杆，精雕细琢的青石基台，蓝色的琉璃瓦闪闪发亮，红色的柱子上雕刻着栩栩如生的金龙，显得华美大气、气势不凡。

终于，我们参观完了故宫。中国的奇珍异宝很多，可有一部分还散落在外国，我真希望这些珍宝能早日回到我们祖国。

今天，老爸老妈也来到了北京，叔叔准备带领我们去参观故宫。简单收拾了一下零食和饮料我们就直奔地铁站。北京的地铁像一张地下的蜘蛛网，四通八达，极其方便。坐了近一小时的地铁，我们来到了北京的心脏，天安门广场。

因为妈妈之前去过两次故宫，所以这次她不想再去了，而是单独去了她非常神往的国家博物馆。我和爸爸、叔叔目标就是故宫（小时候也去过一次，貌似没有一点印象了）。我们到天安门广场的时候应该是上午十点半左右，加之又是周六，难得的大晴天，天安门广场上已是人山人海，寸步难行，好不容易才挤进去买到票。

珍宝馆里更是珍藏了许多顶级的奇珍异宝。有金嵌珠立佛、金宗喀巴像、金累丝嵌松石坛城，有镶满珠宝的朝冠、凤冠，有晶莹剔透的水晶杯、水晶球，有各种材质的鼻烟壶，酒杯，还有各种宝石做的耳环、吊坠，等等，看得我眼花缭乱，外加直流口水，每一件都做工精美，价值连城啊。
