故宫真是中国人民的骄傲!

过了太和门就是故宫”三大殿“之首的太和殿，也就是老百姓所说的金銮殿。整个殿建在高大的汉白玉台基上，是当年举行重大大典的地方。大殿顶是双层的，黄色的殿顶上装有10只脊兽，脊兽最前边的是骑凤仙人。导游姐姐说脊兽的数量代表的等级的高低，太和殿是整个宫殿中等级最高的。大殿由红色的柱子擎着，梁上画有龙的彩画。红色和黄色的搭配显得整个大殿富丽堂皇。

殿外平台上左右各摆一对铜龟、铜鹤，象征着龟鹤千秋、国运永昌。还有一座像石头亭子的叫嘉量，是古代的标准量器。与嘉量对称的位置叫日晷，是古代的表。它们都象征着皇权的至高无上。

中和殿是皇帝在去太和殿大典之前休息，并接受执事官员的朝拜的地方。

在中和殿后就是保和殿，这里是皇帝宴请文武百官的地方。从清朝乾隆年间开始，老百姓所熟知的状元，就是从这座大殿里考出来的。殿内宝座上方悬挂着乾隆皇帝御笔”皇建有极“匾。

北京故宫是世界上现存规模最大、保存最为完整的木质结构古建筑之一。

北京故宫于明成祖永乐四年(1406年)开始建设，以南京故宫为蓝本营建，到永乐十八年(1420年)建成，成为明清两朝二十四位皇帝的皇宫。
