我们一大清早就坐着快速公交车很快就来到了前门，人民广场人山人海，还有许多外国人，我们还跟他们合了影。我们来到了故宫，第一眼看见的就是一个大门，他的匾上写着“午门”两个大字，我怀疑这午门是用来斩犯人的，因为皇帝总是说“将某某斩于午门！”

我们来到了一座城墙，那城墙有五个大洞，听说：这五个大洞呀，中间走皇帝，左边走文官，右边走武官，俗话说得好：左文右武。

得胜门可真奇怪，没门，只有一个吊桥，这叫得胜门吗？后来我才明白，得胜门意思是祝将士屡次打胜仗。每当将士出征或打胜仗时皇帝都会在此送别和迎接。我悄然大悟，这得胜门用途可真大。

我们又来到了三座宫殿。它们分别是：太和中和保和殿。太和殿意思是天下太平，作用：皇帝嘛无事不登三宝殿；这太和殿只有建国天寿节、元旦节等重大会议，太和殿才开放；中和殿意思是皇帝和臣子办事不偏不倚，作用：皇帝是真龙天子，架子大，所以每当去太和殿之前，都在中和殿接受群臣朝拜；保和殿意思是皇帝龙体安康，作用：不用说了，自然是上朝了。

我们逛了一大圈，才找到出口，故宫可真大，像玩走迷宫似的，我发现，每座宫殿边上都有一、二个铜铁缸，铜铁缸有啥用呢？听导游说：“铜铁缸是宫中防火设备之一，平时贮满着清水以备灭火时用。每到冬季十月至翌年二月，在缸外套上棉套，缸上加盖，气温低时，缸下烧炭加温，以防缸水冻结。是明孝宗、弘治帝朱祜樘发明的。

过了午门，穿过故宫城门，就来到了太和殿。我顺着两旁的汉白玉台阶，一阶一阶的向上走去。看着阶梯中间那精雕细刻的云龙石雕，我情不自禁的惊叹那时的人们是怎么制作出这巧夺天工的云龙石雕的。
