故宫又称紫禁城，它是世界上最大最完整的一座宫殿，面积约七十二万平方米，是世界五大宫殿之首。

我和妈妈进入故宫，第一眼看到的就是乾清宫。

我先介绍一下故宫的概况。

故宫建于北京的中央，以南北为中轴线，座北朝南，充分体现了皇权至上的封建统治思想。故宫城外是皇城，皇城外又有北京城，真是城城包围！

历史上，故宫因火灾或者其它原因，曾多次的重建，但基本格局没有改变，主要分为外朝和内廷两部分。外朝以太和、中和、保和三大殿为中心，文华、武英两殿为两翼，是皇帝上朝接受朝贺、接见群臣和举行大型典礼的地方。内廷有乾清宫、交泰殿、坤宁宫、御花园及两侧分列的东西六宫，是封建皇帝进行日常活动和后妃皇子居住游玩及奉神的地方。

广场南面的保和殿是外朝三在殿的最后一座，规格等级仅次于太和殿，面阔9间，进深5间，重檐歇山顶，翼角置走兽9个，内外檐均施金龙和玺彩画，菱花梧扇，生落在高大的汉白玉“三台”之上。

穿过午门，走过宛如飘带般的“内金水河”上华贵的“内金水桥”，自己仿佛置身于那个朝代之中。随着人流，穿过故宫的第二道门——-太和门后，就能看到故宫最高等级的大殿——-太和殿。

太和殿位于故宫的中心，宛如各殿中高傲的帝王。它的台基呈“土”字形，在五行中土居中央，象征这里是天下的中心。台基高8、13米，呈“须弥”座形式。“须弥”也象征天下的中心，是中国古建筑中最高等级的基座形式。它体现了政治中心的重要，以及皇权的崇高、圣神和威严。太和殿的建筑采用了最尊贵的“五脊四坡”的重檐庑殿顶。它的面积最大，有2377平方米呢！太和殿内金碧辉煌，流光溢彩，奢华至极。在大殿的中央，有一座“须弥”是的宝座，为“雕龙髹金宝座”。宝座上设雕龙髹金大椅，椅后设雕龙髹金屏风，左右有宝象、香筒、香炉等陈设。太和殿主要用来举行重大仪式。太和殿后面的两大殿——-中和殿、保和殿建筑风格、用途都很重要，古语中无事不登三宝殿就指这三宝殿，可见它们在那个年代的重要性！

我们参观了三大殿后，又穿过了乾清门，看过乾清宫、交泰殿、坤宁宫来到了御花园。御花园是明清两代皇帝，皇后及嫔妃茶余饭后的休闲场所。园内古柏老槐，郁郁葱葱：奇石盆景，千姿百态；亭台楼阁，星罗棋布；花石子路，纵横交错。整个院内幽静古雅，是休闲的绝佳地方。

出了御花园，便是故宫的出口——神武门了，在门的上方，有著名历史学家郭沫若题写的几个苍劲有力的大字——-故宫博物院。

出了神武门，便出了故宫。虽然早已走出故宫，但故宫那恢弘浩大之气却仍然挥之不去。
