有一次，我去树林里捕螳螂，捉了几只螳螂后，我突然想到了一些问题：螳螂的呼吸器官在哪儿？母螳螂真的会吃公螳螂吗？于是，我决定做一个实验：我用夹子轻轻夹住一只螳螂，把它的头部放进水里，本等着它张牙舞爪，，可它却没有什么反应，难道它的呼吸器官不在头上？或者我做实验前它已经死了？可它刚刚还生龙活虎的啊？我不敢确定，又把它的腹部放进水里，这下它又是蹬腿又是伸手的，我耐心地等它不再折腾后，拿出来一看，它已经死了。原来它的呼吸器官是它腹部的那两个小红点啊！

接下来该做另一项实验了。我抓住了一只公螳螂和睦螳螂，跑回家去，找出一个玻璃杯，里面放点食物，再把公、母螳螂放进去，倒扣在桌上，上面还压了一本书，隔了一夜，我兴致勃勃地看，果然不出所料，食物不见了，公螳螂也不见了，只有母螳螂在悠闲的散步，原来母螳螂吃掉公螳螂才会怀产是真的啊，我恍然大悟。

生活处处皆课堂。知识就在我们身边。只要你用心，就会发现，校外的课堂一样精彩。

According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

Imagine my surprise when all I got in return was a box of matches! I could understand a mistake. I might even pardon a joke. But in this case, your advertisement is a deliberate lie since a friend of mine who also sent the coupon got the same result.

I think its a shame to promise an economical lighter when in fact you are not selling a lighter a1 all. Instead of saying it works quickly, you should admit that you are offering matches. And what about "only" ￡2: I usually pay 10 pennies for a box of matches, and they are often given away free.

I regard your advertisement as a serious deception and demand that you send me my money back immediately. Otherwise I will take active steps to make sure the Consumers Association hear about it.

快乐一词，大家再熟悉不过了。它伴随着我们长大，伴着我们走进学校，又伴着我们学习。

这一学期，我们班换了一为新的英语老师，他姓顾，名就免了(呵呵)。随着他的到来，我们班英语课的气氛一飞冲天呐!从原来的一片寂静变到了人声鼎沸，同学们回答问题从胆怯到踊跃，每节课上都充满了欢声笑语。

这不，顾老师又像往常一样笑容满面地走进了教室，一番师生问好后，他发话了：“请大家在最短的时间内把地九单元的单词背出来!”恩?背单词?同学们过了许久才反应过来，虽然都不知道老师葫芦里到底卖的什么药，但尔后就是一片嘈杂的背书声。

“时间到!”，随着老师的一声令下，教室里立即鸦雀无声。“请每组同学派一名代表上来默写单词。”同学们这才恍然大悟，一番热闹地推举之后，四组都产生了最优秀的代表，我很荣幸地被选上了。我们站在黑板前，个个磨圈擦掌，心里还在不停地背干菜的单词。

“雨伞”顾老师开始了，可是这第一个我就给难住了，还好，一番心里默念之后，终于是想起来了。没当我在黑板上默写出一个单词，下面就响起一阵欢呼声。同学们都目不转睛地盯着黑板，黑板好像就是一块大磁铁，同学们都被吸住了。每个同学都全身心地投入在比赛中，时时都为上面的同学捏一把汗。

“最后一个，科学家!”呵呵，我暗暗自喜，因为这个单词很长，我读了几十遍，所以我一下字就默写出来了，我转身回到座位上，看见我组的同学个个微笑，我就猜到了几分，心里就像吃了蜜还甜，我笑得那么醇。那么快乐。

I had finished trainning in army for 8 days.Though this trainning I can learn a lot of things without schooling.I made many new good friends as well.

I never finished a whole work myself before this trainning. Because of this, I failed the most important exam. The drillmaster taught us that we must often say "never give up"in our life.Only in this way, we can succeed. You know, I had planned this holiday for several years. A t last, my dream came true. You could imagine how excited I was. My mind was completely occupied with the holiday. I forgot to collect my laundry. I dont know if you can help me collect my laundry. I sent the laundry to the Johns. It is the one down the corner on St. Peters Street. You cant miss it, because the house is painted green-a big green house. I have got two pairs of trousers, three shirts, one T-shirt and a blanket. Call a taxi to send you home. I will pay you back when I am home.

My first stop is London. It is raining. The streets are very clean. How I wish I could have the chance to see the famous London fog. But someone told me that was already the history. One can only read things like that about London in books.

Recently, the problem of environmental pollution is getting more and more

serious. The air pollution, noise pollution and water pollution are found on the

newspaper everywhere. It is obvious that we should do something to protect our

earth. Because we have only one home. We should try our best not to pollute the

environment and appeal the people around us make their effort to protect our

unique home.

I went to Beijing on vacation with my parents last month and we stayed there for a week.

To my surprise, Beijing is such a modern city that my parents and I all admire the development of it these years. We visited many wonderful places there, such as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and the Great Wall. What impressed me most was that people there were all very friendly and some of them could even speak Enlish. But still I think that there are some problems of this city, which I dislike. Those are too many people there and the heavy traffic. If there were fewer people and less traffic, it would be better.

My family has a small white rabbit, it is covered with white hair, big head long with two long ears, white rabbit eyes are red, like ruby, white rabbit tail hairy, Posted behind the buttocks, really interesting.
