为什么年轻人这么喜爱西方节日呢?大抵是因为他们喜爱新鲜事物，抗拒不了诱惑。在他们看来，西方节日代表着时尚，而中国传统节日则太土了。这也难怪我们也觉得我们的传统节日太过无聊了。如果我们对传统节日漠然置之，那么某天我们的文化文明终会消失。因此，我们该多多关注我们中国自己的节日了。

As a Chinese, we have the obligation to protect our culture and custom. So I think we should celebrate our Chinese festivals by doing some traditional activities. As for western festivals, we needn’t to be too excited about them. We can just send our best wishes to our best friends during those festivals.

作为一名中国人，我们有责任保护自己的文化习俗。所以我认为应当在庆祝中国传统节日时候举办一些传统活动。而对于西方节日，我们不需要太过激动。在这些节日里我们应该只需简单的送上祝福就好。

中国，一个有着上下五千年的文明古国，一个经历过大唐繁盛时昂首挺胸的荣耀，体味过清廷破败时处处受欺的耻辱的国家；中国，一个令十三亿中华儿女无论何时何地，呼唤起来总是心潮澎湃的字眼；中国，你是一条从沉睡中正在苏醒的巨龙，腾飞于世界的东方。我爱你，中国。

有人说，中国人民像一盘散沙。没错，可它是铁做的沙子，危难的磁石逼近时，它立刻凝成一块坚毅的钢板。

四川汶川、青海玉树的地震，虽然已经过去，可依然让人们“觉几度，魂飞梦惊。”使人惊得不仅有危难带给我们的痛苦，还有生命的奇迹带给我们的感叹，最多的则是中华儿女的团结给人带来的震撼。当鲜血般的五星红旗缓缓下落，当响亮的笛声徐徐响起，有多少中国儿女闭上双眼，让内心尽情汹涌澎湃。看那捐款箱前一双双手，是那么让人感动。从一角、两角，到一百万、两百万。爱心，不分前后，捐款不分多少。汶川人民，玉树同胞，知道了吗？我们和你们在一起。

仅仅时隔两年，当人们刚刚让自己心灵的伤口结疤时，甘肃的舟曲又发生了巨大的泥石流灾害，多少人葬身于此，多少人妻离子散，多少人流离失所。再一次地，我们听到了哭声四起，看到了泪水飞扬。坚强些，舟曲，我们和你在一起。地震震不碎我们手牵手组成的爱墙，那么，它觉不会被泥石流冲毁掩盖。“一方有难，八方支援，”人们温暖的爱心随着救灾物资飞到舟曲，轻轻抚慰着舟曲人们心中的伤口，“风雨同舟”，坚强不“曲”的呼唤不绝于耳，中华人民又一次证明了什么叫“万众一心，同舟共济”。

蓦然回首，沉睡的巨龙已渐渐远去，抬头远望，酣睡乍醒的它正欲飞翔。中国的复苏是它的永远目标，中华人民的团结一致是它的不竭动力，它一定会腾着云，驾着雾，乘着风，越飞越高，越飞越远！

每个人都有自己的祖国，每个人都要权利爱自己的祖国。我们都是炎黄子孙，中华儿女，就必须爱着我们的中国。从古到今都有许多赞扬祖国的歌，就说现代吧。比如：凤凰传奇的一首新歌《中国我爱你》。这首歌中有一句歌词唱得真好啊！“中国我爱你，就像孩子爱她的母亲。中国我属于你我要永远守护着你。”中国是我们的母亲，我们是在母亲

怀抱里长大的，在母亲的滋润下茁壮成长。我们中间的大多数人多是十分热爱自己的祖国的。从唐山大地震到2008年春节的冰冻灾害，再到汶川大地震，国人和外国华侨都在帮助自己的祖国。有钱出钱，有力出力，都在无时无刻的帮助自己的祖国。

所以我们用融融的爱融化了那冰冻的雪，我们用各自的爱心平了那大地的震动，这说明什么？说明大部分的国人还是在深深的爱着自己的祖国。可是也有一些人在暗中使坏，恩将仇报，来报复自己亲爱的祖国。实在是令祖国母亲失望啊！

我们中华民族有许多独特的传统节日，如春节、元宵节、清明节、端午节、七夕节、中秋节、重阳节等等。每个节日都有不同的节日习俗，都有丰富的文化内涵。从小，这些节日陪伴着我长大，我非常喜爱我们中国的传统节日。

首先，给大家介绍一下端午节吧！端午节，是从两千年多前流传下来的。据说，当年伟大的爱国诗人屈原自投汨罗江后，百姓因爱戴屈原，纷纷来到汨罗江，划着龙舟打捞屈原大夫的尸体。为了不让蛟龙、鱼虾吃掉屈原的尸体，老百姓便把大米用芦苇叶子包着，然后投入江中，端午节划龙舟、吃粽子的风俗就这样流传了下来。从那时起，人们就在每年五月初五端午节时划龙舟，吃粽子，纪念伟大的爱国诗人屈原。

再说七夕节吧，七夕节也有一个非常感人的神话传说。相传，牛郎父母早亡，只能和哥哥嫂子生活，可他的嫂子经常虐待他，逼他干很多活。一天，仙女和织女下凡游玩，在河里洗澡，牛郎在老牛的帮助下认识了织女，两人互生爱意，结为夫妻，不久，他们便有了儿女。可好景不长，王母娘娘得知后大怒，强行将牛郎织女拆散，牛郎带着儿女上天去追织女，可无奈的是天河拦路。他们忠贞的爱情感动了王母娘娘，王母娘娘让喜鹊搭成了鹊桥，到了每年的七月七日，让牛郎织女在鹊桥相会。于是，现在每当七夕节来临，女孩们便会穿针乞巧、拜织女，祈求自己心灵手巧。

一年中，最温馨最甜蜜的日子，应该是大年除夕了。大年除夕，也有一个有趣的传说。相传，有一只四角四足、形貌狰狞、生性凶残的恶兽叫“夕”，他在每年的最后一天就会出来祸害人。有个人想出一个办法，就是在家门上挂一块红布，并且砍一些碎竹节，扔进火里。由于竹子刚砍伐不久，湿润的竹节便噼里啪啦地响了起来，“夕”听到后便吓得躲藏了起来，以后再也不敢来了。后来，慢慢地，红布变成了红对联，碎竹子变成了鞭炮。现在，每当大年除夕，家家户户都会在门上贴对联，挂上红灯笼，燃放鞭炮烟花，一家人吃着年夜饭，等待新年的到来。

这就是我们中华民族有趣的传统节日，她有悠久的历史，有独特的节日习俗，还有离奇的传说故事。啊，我爱中国节！

Genghis Khan, "Khan of Khans", was the great leader of Mongolians. At the end of 12th century, he united Mongolian tribes and challenged other powers to expand his huge Mongolian empire, which extended from South China to the Caspian Sea.

In 1277, Khan attacked the West Xia Kingdom (presently Ningxia) and encountered strong resistance. He died of disease and age. The great emperor was later buried secretly according to Mongolian custom. It says that after the burial 2,000 men were slaughtered by some 800 soldiers who were in turn executed so that the location of the real tomb remains a secret.

There are four sacrifice ceremonies held annually to commemorate the great hero and leader of the Mongolian people. The ceremony, held on March 21st on lunar calendar, is the grandest. After the ceremony, horse racing, archery and wrestling are held as entertainment.
