Protect our environment

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. Like tangible cultural heritages such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden

efforts to preserve intangible heritages because, without their physical form of

existence, they are in greater risk of extinction.

According to UNESCO’s Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible

Cultural Heritage (2003), all forms of social customs and habits, folklore,

performing arts, rituals, oral traditions, festivals, traditional crafts and

various knowledge and practices about nature and universe can be classified as

intangible cultural heritages. As a country consisting of a great diversity of

ethnic groups and with time-honored history and civilization, China abounds in

intangible cultural heritages. Cultural heritages connect modern people with the

Without cultural heritages, we would be rendered absolutely rootless and we

However, the modernization process poses mounting threats to intangible

without transmitting them to the younger generation. Faced with those

Animals Need Protecting Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today.

Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more.Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly. Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals.

Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

然后，我询问了班上近视和视力下降了的同学：

我问朱俊林：“你近视两年了，你知道是什么原因造成的吗?”他说：“我也不知道。不过，我喜欢看电视，经常一看就是半天。”作文

我又问张益铭：“你这么早就近视了，你平时注意用眼卫生了吗?”他说：“啥子用眼卫生哟!我不清楚。我只是喜欢玩电脑，特别喜欢打游戏。”

我再问况悦：“这学期你也戴眼镜了，你觉得舒服吗?”她认为我是明知故问，有点生气地说：“舒服，你也戴嘛!”我说：“你误会了，我想知道你是怎么近视的?”她说：“医生告诉我，可能是和我太喜欢看书有关。”

……

调查结束了，我简单地总结了一下，眼睛近视主要是由于我们不注意用眼卫生造成的。有的看书没有一个好习惯，在强光和弱光下看书，一边走路一边看书，坐在颠簸的车上、趴在被窝里看书。有的长时间看电视，玩电脑，打游戏。平时我还注意到有些近视了的同学，看书写作业的时候，有的坐的姿势不对，有的眼睛离书本太近了……

所以，我们要时刻注意用眼卫生，看电视时间不要过长，不能玩电子游戏机，不能躺在床上、在光线过强或过暗的地方看书。一旦视力出现问题，还要及时到医院检查和治疗。
