排骨串的形状很奇特，有的像小石子，有的像仙丹，还有的像“足球” ……后来经过了解，这些小排个个都是选的上好的仔排，剔除骨头，用特制的蜜汁调料腌制好，穿在小竹棍上，过油烤制，一串让人口水直流三千尺的排骨串就新鲜出炉了。再 蘸上点香喷喷的芝麻粉，那才叫香呢！

I am a third year master major in automation at ×× University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activityWhen a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

我家乡的东湖是一幅美丽的画卷。它坐落在崇和门和长城之间，好似一颗璀璨的明珠在闪耀。

东湖美极了！湖水碧蓝碧蓝的，像童话世界里的海洋之星。阳光一照，湖面闪闪发亮，像是有人向湖里撒了一把碎金。湖里的小鱼可调皮了，它们成群结队，一会儿游出水面和人们打招呼，一会儿又游进湖里玩耍，身份有趣。这时，几艘古色古香的游船划过水面，留下了一道又一道涟漪，真美啊！东湖边的柳树并不高，但一棵棵的柳树婀娜多姿。狭长的柳叶就是柳树的秀发，柔柔地披了下来，就像一位美丽的绿发少女。柳树下，各种各样的花儿争奇斗艳，有的花儿红似火，有的白如雪，有的粉若霞……美丽的花儿引来了蝴蝶姐姐和蜜蜂弟弟，蝴蝶姐姐在花朵上欢快地翩翩起舞，蜜蜂弟弟提着小花篮“嗡嗡”地唱起了采蜜歌。

我的老家坐落在陕西省宁陕县，俗称小秦岭。那里盛产板栗、核桃和木耳。其中，我最喜欢的还是那味道鲜美又补脑的核桃。

到了春天，万物复苏、姹紫嫣红，家乡的核桃树上慢慢地发出了嫩叶，渐渐地就长出了许多小穗儿，好像是核桃树姑娘在刻意把自己打扮得漂漂亮亮的。过了一段时间，小穗儿都落了下来，结出了许多大大小小的青色果子，那一个个穿着绿色外衣的小核桃，好像在阳光下对人们微笑呢！许许多多的核桃把核桃树姑娘的胳膊都压弯了，让人即心疼又愉悦。

到了金秋八月份，核桃终于成熟了。新鲜的核桃外面那层绿色外衣还穿着，想要吃到鲜美的核桃真不容易呢！爷爷把打好的核桃放在麦草堆里面捂上几天，那层绿色就能轻易地剥掉了。核桃分为薄皮的和厚皮的两种，薄皮的比较容易弄出来吃，厚皮的很难弄出来吃，有时候还得借助牙签来帮忙。

今年夏天，我们家还添了电冰箱。以前，夏天的东西经常会坏，坏了就扔了，多可惜。现在电冰箱可以冷藏食品，食品放在冰箱里不会坏。它可以给我制作冰块。我补课回来，我就冷冻一个冰块让我解渴。冰箱给我家带来了方便。

去年，我们家还买了空调。以前，在冬天没有空调，起床穿衣服，我总藏在被窝里。现在有了空调，起来穿衣服就不会感冒了。在夏天没有空调时，能把人热得发闷，不想活动。现在，在夏天有了空调，无论在什么时候，只要一开空调，调成冷风，会觉的非常凉爽，像置身于凉爽的森林一样。

最近，我们县上出现了互联网，大部分家里人的电脑都上了Inter网。以前，没有互联网，想投稿或有事只要发一个E-mail，就可以把作文投上去，把信寄了出去。互联网也给我们带来了方便。

Swimming, reading and movie are my favorites, which bring  color to my busy study life. In study, I am good at Chinese and English, while  math is my weakness. At the beginning of this term, I made a plan for my study. Now, I find that  I carry it out well in the past month. I was poor in Chinese and English last  semester. Therefore, I put the two subjects in the priority and I spent much  time on them. Happily, I made progress in the two subjects this semester.  Besides, math and physics is not so hard for me, but I must do many exercises to  improve my knowledge. Half of an hour for each is necessary and I have always  been doing so. The other subjects are easy for me. As long as I carefully listen  to the teacher in the class and do some reviews, I can do well in them. While,  it does not mean that I attach no importance to them. I make plan for my study  to ensure the efficiency of my study.

开学之初，我给我的的学习制定了一个计划。现在，我发现在过去的一个月我能够很好的实行。上个学期我的语文和英语很差，因此我把这两个科目作为我的首要任务并花很多时间在上面。很高兴的是，这学期我这两科取得了进步。此外，数学和物理对我来说不是很难，但是我必须多做练习来增加我的知识。每个科目花上半个小时是有必要的，我一直都是这样做的。其他的科目对我来说很容桂。只要我课堂上认真听课，课后复习我就能够把它们做好。但是，这也不意味着我不重视它们。我给我的学习制定计划以保证我的学习效率。

我的家乡My Hometown

My hometown is Xiamen. I was born there twelve years ago. Now I live in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province. Xiamen is a beautiful city that many people visit there. The whole city is clean and tidy. I lived in downtown. It’s near to the port, where is the busiest place, because thousands of people go to the Gulangyu. Gulanyu is a small island. There are many distinctive buildings and paths there. You may get lost in so many paths, but you don’t have to worry. And every path has its own beautiful scenery. I love my beautiful hometown.

My name is Yin Zhaoyi. Im nine years old. Im from Hengyang, Hunan. I love writing and reading.

I was a lively and cheerful girl, face, round eyes, long eyebrows, high nose, black hair, big mouth, short stature, long limbs.

Today is Sunday. I asked my mother if I could go to the library to read books. My mother said yes, I went straight to the library happily, and there were very few people in the library. I picked up a book and looked up. An hour passed, and two hours passed. Until 6 oclock in the evening, I found it was 6, and I ran home at full speed.

I am . I was born in Changsha. I graduate from senior high school and major in English. I started learning English since I was 12 years old. My parents have a lot of American friends. That’s why I have no problem communicating with Americans or others by speaking English.

In my spare time, I like to do anything relating to English such as listening to English songs, watching English movies or TV programs, or even attending the activities held by some English clubs or institutes. I used to go abroad for a short- term English study. During that time, I learned a lot of daily life English and saw a lot of different things.

I think language is very interesting. I could express one substance by using different sounds. So I wish I could study and read more English literatures and enlarge my knowledge.

阳春三月，一棵棵龙眼树贪婪地吮吸着春天地甘露，它们身站着四季常绿的枝条，一片片下长的叶子在灿烂的阳关中欢笑着。细雨如丝、处于蒙蒙像油一样滋润得每张叶子都油亮油亮的，在阳光下格外的发亮。

春天一到，淡黄但黄的龙眼花挂满了枝头，一阵阵轻轻地风吹来了，迎来了一群群小蜜蜂和蝴蝶在树头上飞来飞去，好像在玩游戏一样。人们漫步其中，闻着淡淡的果香，真让人心旷神怡。

到了6月的时候，龙眼挂满了枝头，连树爷爷也被压弯了腰。龙眼圆圆的，和杨梅一样大小，遍身生着疙瘩。等龙眼渐渐长熟的龙眼是青绿青绿的。

到了8月的时候龙眼才熟透了，摘一颗剥开壳就可以看到晶莹透亮的果肉了，像一颗水晶球一样，美丽极了。当你轻轻的咬一口它，嘴唇上舌头同时布满了透白的汁水，甜津津，叫人越吃越爱吃。

My hometown used to be a backwardplace, because it was deep in the mountains, where there were no nice buildingsand the roads were so narrow and dirty. People lived a poor life.

我的家乡过去是一个落后的地方，因为它在深山里面，那里没有漂亮的建筑物，公路也是又小又脏的。人们的生活都很贫苦。

While in recent years, with thedevelopment of society, my hometown has been greatly changed. Now the roads aregetting much wider. There are many different cars and buses running on theroads. Trees and flowers are planted on the two sides of the roads. They canprovide us with oxygen and fight against the pollutants. So the sky becomescleaner and brighter. Whats more, you can see many modern and beautifulbuildings everywhere, and the living conditions are improving. People areenjoying a comfortable life now.
