我的故乡在豫北，我爱家乡的红果。

红果又叫“山里红。”红果中含有丰富的钙和胡萝卜素，钙含量居水果之首，胡萝卜素的含量仅次于枣和猕猴桃，最适于我们小孩儿食用。

山楂树喜欢生在山地、丘陵、沙荒地的土壤里成长。每年五月是山楂树长身体的最佳时间，它们吃饱喝足了就不分昼夜的使劲往上长。到了六月，在绿油油叶子中间，镶满了白颜色的小花蕾。

八月以后，山楂树上就挂满了圆圆的、青青的“球形青果果。”用手轻轻摸一下，硬硬的，一串串整齐的排列着挂在树上。

等到十月份的时候，在树妈妈的呵护下，青果果一天一天的长大了。青果果都变成了红果果。用手轻轻的摸起来，软软的、红红的，表面还有淡淡的小斑点。用手拨开，果皮是红的、果肉白的，可真馋人。放在嘴里，酸酸甜甜……每次看到红果，我都流口水，还真有点望梅止渴的感觉。

我的家乡在太平，这里人杰地灵，富有生机，无论是什么人到了这，都会变得快乐。

清晨，戴着大红冠的公鸡在叫了第三声之后，天便已蒙蒙亮。隐隐约约能听到“汪汪汪”的狗叫声，伴着“嘎嘎嘎”的鸭叫，睡了一晚的太阳也从地平线上跃出，给大地带来了一片生机。

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees and flowers everywhere.

But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. The Chinese have specific way to celebrate their new year. If you walk down the street in Chinatown during Chinese New Year, you see a variety of ancient traditions such as red banners, firecrackers and lion dance performances, streets are filled with lively celebration.

However, legend has said that the new year has not always been a time of festivity. An Asian Chinese story told a chilly start to this festive holiday, it begins with an ancient Chinese beast called Nian.

Every New Year Nian would rise from swelling in the sea to ravage Chinese village in livestock and hurting people. The villages soon found out from a wise gray-haired old man that the only way to scare the beast away was to set off firecrackers and light lamps and to hang red banners on each door. As the story goes, this was the beginning of a tradition that would last thousands of years.

So this story leads to the creation of many of other traditions for celebrating Chinese New Year. lets take a look at some of these traditions.

Sichuan is located in the Upper Yangtze Valley in the southwestern part of the country.
