I had a great time throughout my may day holiday.

On monday, i went bbq with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. our parents were invited to the party. everybody was excited about the holiday. i ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

on thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. i tried to get some rest. at night, i chatted with my classmates on the phone, and i watched cctv before going to bed.

From friday on, i started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. some of my assignments were quite boring. after i finished the homework, i emailed them to my teachers. that was the end of it. i started to prepare things for school on this coming monday.

I remember the sixth grade when the National Day holiday seven days off our family ready to travel to Luoyang tourism, usually we rarely go out this time finally can go out to play for a while.

An unforgettable experience

My mom used to say that I was born to swim. But the truth is that I didn t know how to swim until the last year of my primary school!

Mom always said that I could swim in the basin when I was only two months old. I was surprised at the amazing fact. If this was true, then why was I afraid of water? I went to swim every summer, but I didn t make a little progress. I was worried and blamed myself several times. When I watched people swimming freely, how I wished I had learnt to swim!

The story of how I learnt to swim is dramatic. One hot summer afternoon, my father and I went to the swimming pool to swim. While my father was changing his clothes, I was roaming along the bank of the pool. Suddenly I heard a voice, Look out! and then came a big noise and beautiful splashes. Just when I was admiring the swimmer s skills, I slipped into the pool! I was so afraid that I shouted at once! But the water kept coming towards me and I drank a lot of it. I was moving upside down and trying to reach the bank. I was struggling very hard to keep my head above the water.

A minute was like a hundred years to me. To my surprise, I was able to keep the style! Just then, my father, saw me and he seemed to be shocked. 我老家有个风俗，就是大年初一的早上一定要吃“煮汤米乞”，我们老家的人说，“不吃煮汤米乞就不叫过年。”

“米乞”是我们老家的一种特产，字在我们老家的话里读：ei，总的分为“艾米乞”、“煮汤米乞”、“薯包米乞”和“bai粉米乞”四种，种种都是那么香。“艾米乞”和客家的艾糍有点像，但用的不是一种艾，也不是一种馅。“煮汤米乞”就和饺子很像，只不过皮是用糯米粉做成的，馅也多为猪肉、萝卜、虾米和韭菜。“薯粉米乞”就是用番薯粉做成的，馅就是花生、猪肉什么的，吃的时候要加入酸酸甜甜的醋，热乎乎的吃下去，让人回味无穷，是我和妈妈每次回老家都要去街头吃的一种小吃。而“bai粉米乞”就是不加艾的“艾米乞”。我挺喜欢吃“煮汤米乞”的，它糯糯的，把馅和皮混在汤里吃，那味道哦，可真是够香的了！

我一连吃了好几个，把肚皮都快撑破了，但是我又突然想到，我们老家的风俗是：吃完了“煮汤米乞”还要吃“艾米乞”和“bai粉米乞”！哎哟，可把我撑坏了。
