Spring Festival is the most important festival in China 。It’s to celebrate the lunar calendar ‘s new year 。In the evening before the Spring Festival ，families get together and have a big meal 。In many places people like to set off firecrackers 。Dumplings are the most traditional food 。Children like the festival very much ，because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes 。They can also get some money from their parents。 This money is given to children for good luck 。 People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good。

今天是大年初二，我和奶奶一起乘坐三姨公的车自驾去了福建游玩。

经过近10小时的车程，我们踏入了景色宜人，美不胜收的福建省厦门市。虽然到达时间已是晚上，但一下车，我和奶奶就不约而同地闭上双眼深呼吸：因为这里的空气是那么得新鲜，这里的气温是那么得舒服!

旅行的第二天我们坐船去遥望有名的金门岛。抬眼望去，那一块块开阔的海域无边无际，在太阳的照射下，波光鳞鳞，呈现许多不同的颜色呢：深蓝的、淡青的、浅绿的、杏黄的……美不胜收!开船后，我兴高采烈地来到船顶，看着湛蓝的海水，我面浴海风，心中没有一丝杂念，静静地期待着……当船只停在海中央，放眼望到金门岛上醒目的“三民主义统一中国”这几个字时，我内心澎湃不已，与我们大陆这边的“一国两制统一中国”遥遥相望，表达着两岸人民同一个心声：中国要统一!

旅行的第三天，我们去了拥有几百年历史的永定土楼。别看它叫土楼，其实一点也不土，那可是上百年不倒、有着“活着的世界遗产”称号的客家文化。独特的建筑，让你感受别样的风土人情。一到土楼就使我惊叹不已：原来那大圆形的土楼建筑，像碟子、更像座城堡，楼中有楼，层层叠叠。更惊奇的是，那是用泥土石筑成的土木结建筑，没有钢筋水泥，但牢固如石，历经沧桑三百年!置身于高大坚固而又神奇的土楼中，我在感叹中国灿烂的建筑文明史时，也深深为客家人艰苦奋斗以求生存的历史让人折服!

旅行的第四天(也就是最后一天)，是玩的，也是最有趣的，那就是爬雄奇险峻的武夷山!随着车子的脚步，我们祖孙俩终于来到了天游峰的脚下。我站在天游峰的脚下抬头望:啊，峰顶这么高，在云彩上面哩，我爬得上去吗?再看看笔陡的石级，石级边上的铁链似乎是从天上挂下来的，真叫人心里发颤。虽然心里有层层阻碍，但我鼓起勇气，奋力向峰顶爬去：一会儿攀着铁链上，一会儿手脚并用向上爬，像小猴子一样。爬呀爬，我和奶奶终于都爬上了天游峰顶。我看看脚边的悬崖，心里真开心!

短暂的旅行很快结束了，但福建让我渡过了一个非常难忘的春节!我衷心希望，随着祖国建设事业的发展，你会变得更加美丽，更加璀璨!

In China, Spring Festival is the biggest day. People will come back home

and enjoy spending some time with their families. So no matter how far they are,

they will figure out all the ways to come back home and get reunited. The house

cleaning work before the coming of this big day always brings me the happy

memory. We can find something lost a long time ago in the corner. It is like the

surprise and makes me feel so excited. On the New Year’s Eve, all of my families

will sit together and enjoy the real big meal. We share our happiness and the

future expectation. What a nice moment.

I had a great time throughout my may day holiday.

On monday, i went bbq with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. our parents were invited to the party. everybody was excited about the holiday. i ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

on thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. i tried to get some rest. at night, i chatted with my classmates on the phone, and i watched cctv before going to bed.

From friday on, i started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. some of my assignments were quite boring. after i finished the homework, i emailed them to my teachers. that was the end of it. i started to prepare things for school on this coming monday.

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first

four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on

duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill

pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses

are cleaned; couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at

the gate.

On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gatherd together

and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock

strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers

and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year,

almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. When

people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends

and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. Children

indulge themselves in games.
