In my early years, I did not see the value of education.

When I was going on thirteen, I started to run my own shop. From then on, I worked hard to become a successful businessman.

One day I realized the importance of the English language in the business world and started taking night classes.

I was able to communicate well with foreign customers after two years of English study. But I started to feel that, in the long run, having a limited knowledge of English was not enough to make my business successful. I knew that only a well- rounded education could guarantee my success in the future.

When I was eighteen, I had to make a decision to continue doing business or go back to school. There was one obstacle keeping me from getting an advanced education. I had only completed elementary school up to that point. I then went back to senior high school after four months of tutoring in different subjects. Being at school for the first time after so many years was somewhat embarrassing because my classmates were at least two or three years younger than I. I concluded that my age did not matter. The important thing was getting into college.

I took the College Entrance Exams. Although my math exam result was only one point below the required score. I never gave up hope. The following year, I took it again and received the highest score in my city. Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.

I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. My passion for studying and improving myself will never come to a halt as long as I continue to live.

在宋庆龄当了国家的副主席后，她诚信的高尚品格仍不变。一次，她去幼儿园对小朋友许下承诺，“六一”儿童节那天和小朋友们一起过节日。可是那天天气突变，刮起了大风，下起了大雨，老师和同学们都以为宋庆龄奶奶不会来了，当她们失望地望着窗外灰蒙蒙的天时，宋庆龄奶奶的车奇迹般地出现在校园门口，孩子们惊喜地笑了，老师用激动的心情紧紧握住了宋庆龄奶奶的手，宋庆龄奶奶对老师说了一句话：“既然我说了，就得守信。”

宋庆龄奶奶走了，但她却把一笔无比宝贵的精神财富－－诚信留给了世人，纵使时光流逝，这笔财富闪耀着永恒的光辉。

从宋庆龄奶奶的故事中，我们明白了，诚信是诚恳，诚信是守信，诚信是一句承诺，诚信是许诺后的行动，诚信更是一根坚强不屈的脊梁。

自古以来，诚信就常常出现在人们口中，古今中外不举其例，不为别的，只因为人们需要诚信，诚信常常放射着比壁玉更诱人的光芒。

诚信，是做人的根本，有时还真有点难，可是，我曾听过这样一个故事：

战场上，某战士为部队开拓前进道路，不惜以自己身体引爆敌人埋下的地雷阵，以致身负重伤，命在旦夕。报纸上连续不断报导他的事迹，称他为黄继光式的英雄，当部队老将军得知这位战士生命垂危，将不久于人世时，便去医院探望，并给他颁发军功章，将军问战士还有什么话要说，战士说：“有句话，指挥员不让我说。”将军问：“为什么？”战士说：“指挥员说已经报导了，全国都知道我是英雄了，说了影响不好。”将军追问：“怎么回事，你说！”战士说：“我不是英雄，我不是用身体引爆地雷阵的，而是自己不小心，跌倒在地碰上地雷的。”将军受到极大的震动，沉思良久，最后说：“把事实真相说出来和用身体引爆地雷阵同样需要巨大的勇气，你仍然是名副其实的英雄，军功章你受之无愧！”

是呀，军功章这位战士的确受之无愧，因为说这样的真话需要无私，说了就会失去一连串的物质利益和名誉，说了就意味着付出和牺牲，说了还有可能招来莫名其妙的误解和攻击，可是，他没有怕，毅然说出了真相，这不得不让人佩服他的诚信。

泰戈尔说过：“虚伪永远不能凭借它生长在权力中而变成真实。”是呀，谎言始终都是谎言，总有露馅的一天，何不学会诚信呢？因为真诚之中有伟大，伟大之中有真实。

诚信是平凡普通的，它没有那闪闪发光的金色外套，也没有娇娆的容貌，它就是我们日常生活中的点点滴滴。当你打碎了别人的玻璃；弄掉了别人心爱的橡皮擦；撕破了别人的小人书；当你抄袭同学的作业、考试作弊；当你无故不到校却向老师和家长撒谎；当你向别人夸下海口却又食言……犯了错误又没人知道，特别是犯了大错，要自己说出来，难，所以诚信很值得称赞。

诚信会让人佩服，可以让人对你刮目相看，让你敲开机遇大门……

诚信犹如一潭清澈幽雅的湖水，宁静、淡泊、美丽，她总是以自己朴素而又洁净的面容向人展示着自己的美丽，可就是这样一潭清澈、幽雅、淡泊的湖水会让你的人生更加完美。

有人说，诚信是三月的春风，是五月的花海，是七月的阳光，是九月的枫叶。众所周知，诚信是诚实、守信。诚信是中华民族的传统美德，是大自然赐予人类的宝贵财富。

诚信是一盏明灯，当我们徘徊在真理前方时，正是对诚信的信仰引导我们走向辉煌；诚信是一根拐杖，当我们摔倒在利益面前时，正是对诚信的信仰助我们在荆棘丛中无畏前行；诚信是一盆清水，当我们被浮华弄脏了双手时，正是对诚信的信仰助我们洗净污垢，净化心灵。对朋友而言，诚信是友谊的纽带；对恋人而言，诚信是永远散发着爱意的玫瑰。诚信之于社会，就如一雨水的滋润，一阵春风的吹拂，虽然微小，却能孕育出一个生机勃勃、健康向上的春天。

再过几天我们就要迈进五月，同学们，你们知道5月1日是什么日子吗?对，国际劳动节!下面我首先为大家介绍一下“五一”国际劳动节的来历。“五一”国际劳动节起源于美国。1886年5月1日，美国工人举行大罢工，要求改善劳动条件，实行每天八小时工作制。工人们团结战斗，夺得了罢工的胜利。人们为了纪念这次胜利，就把这一天定为国际劳动节。现在，每年的“五一”劳动节，成为大家赞美劳动者、歌颂劳动者的节日。

2008年11月29日，在福州科技馆，我参加了第24届福州市青少年科技创新大赛，我以环境科学组第一名的成绩，夺得了此次大赛的一等奖。在此，我特别感谢我的指导老师——吴瑞平老师和薛莲老师，她们在这次创新大赛中给了我悉心的指导。我还要感谢其他老师和同学，没有他们的支持，我也无法取得成功。

下面，我简要介绍一下参加此次创新大赛的过程与感想。

我是班级的宣传干部，班级的黑板报总是由我来出。每当我用粉笔写完黑板报后，总感觉接触粉笔的手很干燥，如果不及时的清洗，过不了多久手就会脱皮，难受极了!为什么会有这样的感觉呢?经过查询，我了解到，人的手接触粉笔后，皮肤粘膜会受到刺激，使皮肤变得干燥、粗糙，并伴有搔痒感觉，甚至脱皮。我对粉笔产生了巨大的兴趣。观察粉笔成了我每天的必修课：我发现教室粉笔槽中常有大量废弃的粉笔头;我发现老师的身上、头发上沾满白色的粉笔末;我发现上课时粉笔末在空气中飞扬……原来废弃的粉笔头每年要浪费数以亿计的原材料;原来粉笔末对健康和环境的危害无法估计;原来我亲爱的老师每天都被粉笔末包围!于是，我下决心改造粉笔!

我把这个想法跟指导老师做了交流，她们对此也非常感兴趣，于是我们开始了各种各样的尝试：戴手套上课?不行，不方便、不灵活;在粉笔后加一个塑料套来书写?不行，还是会浪费;把粉笔和黑板换成白板?不行，现实条件不允许。我们陷入了困境，但是大脑从来没有停止过对改造粉笔的思考。在一次剪贴报制作中，我突然发现固体胶的胶体能随着外壳装置的转动而内外伸缩，人的手不用接触胶体，只要抓住外壳就能完成粘贴的工作。把胶体换成粉笔!我激动得大叫出来。于是，我把整个固体胶来了一个大解剖——全部拆开，经过细致的观察，我发现只要找到与粉笔规格大小相匹配的固体胶外壳装置，就可以将粉笔像固体胶的胶体那样固定住。这样一来我就改造出了旋转式的环保粉笔，彻底解决了曾经困扰我的各种问题。

这次旋转式环保粉笔的创造，使我懂得了科学创意来源于生活，只有通过多观察、多动脑、勤动手，才会有所创新。同学们，事事留心皆学问!只要你做一个有心人，你就可以取得成功!

6、在课间，我不会让班级某些同学有不良行为(包括我自己)，我会加严管理他们，对于课间习惯不良的同学，我会对他们进行变善措施，让他们变得更好，更文明!

7、对于那些学习成绩比较差的同学，我会对他们进行补习，不会让他们的成绩更差，只会让他们的成绩变得更加好，如果还是这样的话，我不会三心二意，而会一心一意地把他们搞好，让他们的成绩直线上升，成为一位名副其实的高材生!

奥格·曼狄诺曾经说过这样一句话“成功与失败的最大分别是来自不同的习惯。好习惯是开启成功的钥匙，坏习惯则是一扇向失败敞开的门。”这不禁让我想起《感动中国》这本书中鲁迅刻“早”的故事。鲁迅自幼聪颖勤奋，12岁时到三味书屋跟随寿镜吾老师学习，13岁时由于父亲长期患病，家里越来越穷。一次父亲病重，鲁迅一大早就去了当铺和药店，结果上学迟到了，被老师狠狠地骂了一顿。第二天，他早早地来到学样，在书桌的右上角用刀刻了一个“早”字，并许下诺言：以后一定要早起，不能再迟到了。正是这个“早”字，一直激励着鲁迅“时时早，事事早”，并使他最终成为一名伟大的文学家。

朱自清，大家并不陌生，他的散文《背影》、《荷塘月色》感动了一代又一代的读者。正如他在散文《匆匆》中所写的：“燕子去了，有再来的时候;杨柳枯了，有再青的时候;桃花谢了，有再开的时候。可我们的时间却一去永不复返!”朱自清勤奋惜时，如饥似渴地从书中汲取知识，才有了他在文学上的伟大建树。

毛泽东、爱因斯坦、爱迪生等无数中外名人，他们的一生无不以惜时勤奋的好习惯为伴，最终推动和引领起时代发展的滚滚车轮!
