Rong is first world champion

When China was hungry for their first world title to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China table tennis player Rong Guotuan made their dream come true.

Rong became New Chinas first world champion after he won the mens singles title at the 25th World Table Tennis Championships, in former West Germany on April 5, 1959.

Before the championships, the team had pinned their gold hopes on the mens team. But their dream of a world team title was destroyed by the Hungarian team in the semifinal match, losing three games to five.

After a chain of （一系列） unexpected defeats to Chinese favoured for the title, Rong carried the heavy hopes to make a breakthrough.

Rongs rival in the final was top Hungarian paddler Ferenc Sido.

Rong was seen as an underdog for the title as he had just lost to Sido in the team contest. Even the victory flowers were being prepared for Sido.

你们相信吗？《笑猫日记》、《意林》、《中外名人传》这些书，我都看了好几遍。记得又一次，我“啃书”正啃得津津有味，灯一下子灭了。顿时，我的眼前一片漆黑，我以为停电了。这时传来妈妈的话：“都几点了？还在这儿看。快点睡觉，不然的话明天早上起不来！”我不情愿地睡觉了。我躺在床上，心想：书这么精彩，我才看了一点，笑猫会想什么办法来解决这一个难题呢？我在床上翻来覆去，怎么也睡不着。于是趁妈妈洗澡的时候，我又把灯打开，偷偷地开始啃书。

过了一会儿，妈妈洗完澡发现我房间里还透着亮光，就猛地推开门，见我还在看书，便气冲冲地说：“明天你还要上学呢！快睡觉！”见到妈妈那副凶巴巴的样子，我无可奈何地躺下了。这一夜，我竟然做了一个关于书的梦。

还有一次周末晚上，爸爸妈妈要出去吃饭。妈妈为我下好面条，放在桌上嘱咐我冷一下就把它吃了。我当时正在看书，连头都没抬就答应了。妈妈一走，我又钻进了书的海洋中自由遨游。我被《老人与海》这本书中的主人公坚强的意志给震撼了，他在疲惫不堪的情景下战胜了一群鲨鱼。天越来越黑，夜越来越深。妈妈回来了，发现我还在看书，急切地问我吃过了吗？我含含糊糊地不知怎么回答。她忙跑进厨房，见那碗面条汤早已干掉，生气地说：“你这条小书虫真把书当饭吃了。”我傻傻地笑了。

因为爱看书，让我懂得了许多知识，我的语文成绩也在逐步提高。这就是我，一个爱看书、追求上进的小男孩。

我的妈妈，30多岁，中等个儿，身材苗条，穿着朴素。短短的头发乌黑发亮，一双忽闪忽闪的大眼睛，水汪汪的，发出智慧的光芒。我的妈妈是名文化工作者，但在我们家她也是最能干活儿，最勤劳的人。虽她不属牛，但在我的眼里，她就是属“牛”的，她总是勤勤恳恳地做事，任劳任怨地做家务。

每天早晨，当我还在被窝里做着梦时，妈妈就起来给我们做早餐;每天晚上，工作了一天的妈妈还要为我们准备晚饭。记得那一次，我写完作业，已经十点多钟了，我累得快不行了睁不开眼，躺在床上就睡了。不知过了多久，我朦朦胧胧地听到了“哗哗”的响声，糟了，一定是水龙头还没有关，赶紧爬起来到卫生间一看：天啊，都这么晚了，妈妈竟然还在用力地搓洗着我的校服。“妈妈，都这么晚了，快去睡觉吧!”我惊讶地说道。妈妈又说：“不行啊，今天不洗的话，明天就穿不上校服啦!”望着妈妈脸上的洗衣粉沫子，我真有些心疼妈妈。她说完，就把我推了出来，让我继续去睡觉。之后，我的心里久久不能平静，“妈妈，您从早到晚一直在忙活，您真是太伟大了，太勤劳，太辛苦啦!”我自言自语的说。

我的妈妈非常勤劳，做什么事都是一丝不苟，我和爸爸都非常敬佩她，妈妈真是我家的“老黄牛”啊。等我长大后，一定要让妈妈过上一个幸福的生活!

我的爷爷是一个有精神的人，他每天早上都会去锻炼，中午接我回家，我的爷爷很瘦，个子很高。爷爷的头发短短的，眼睛大大的，鼻子大大的，嘴巴小小的。

每天中午，爷爷骑着车子在马路对面接我，不管刮风下雨，他都会来接我，我坐在软软的车座上，我感受到了爷爷对我的爱。

夏天，我回到了家里，爷爷会给我早早的凉一杯香甜的蜂蜜水，我感受到了一丝丝凉爽我正想对爷爷说：“谢谢你，我的好爷爷。”

冬天，寒风刺骨，爷爷也来接我，一回到家里，爷爷赶紧暖我这双冻得通红的小手，还给我一个耳罩，和一顶小帽子。然后端来热腾腾的饭菜，会对我说：“吃完就不冷了。”我感受到了爷爷对我的关心。

在我小的时候，每天下午吃完晚饭，爷爷都会骑着自行车带我去火车站去看火车，那火车非常的长，一列列的火车从我眼前驶过，慢慢地，我看腻了，就蹲下开始挖坑，爷爷说：“小心你的手被虫子咬了。”我立刻把手缩回去，又开始看如同龙一样长的火车来，我感受到了爷爷对我的关爱。

在我小的时候，而且是在我过生日的时候，爷爷都带我去超市给我买我最爱吃的食品，我每次回到家还会看到爷爷以前给我积攒下的所有的好吃的，虽然都是甜食，但是我还是大口大口地吃着，爷爷看着我，这时我感受到了爷爷对我浓浓的爱。

爷爷的年纪虽然大了，爷爷对我的关心与关爱是永远不变的，更让我难忘。

Miss Li often sticks to have lessons when she is ill , She looked weak, but still beautiful. Miss Li love us very much, she teaches us so carefully .I think she is a good teacher. We all love her, too.

I think teachers are like candles , giving off light for others by burning themselves 。

李老师是我的语文老师，她大约30岁左右，她长的又漂亮，又年轻，她的卷发是棕色的。李老师经常穿着蓝色的上衣，所以我认为她最喜欢的颜色是蓝色。

李老师对我们总是那样友好，亲切。她的课生动，有趣，我们都喜欢上语文课。她和我们说话的时候总是面带微笑。

有时候她对我们非常严厉，当我们犯了错误，李老师就让我们站起来。

我想，老师就像蜡烛，燃烧了自己，照亮了别人!
