The races have certainly captured the imagination of people from all over the world. Every spring there are nearly 60 dragon boat races held outside of China in cities from Vancouver to Sydney, from Gdańsk, Poland to Cape Town, South Africa. Canada alone has nearly 50 dragon boat teams and Germany has nearly 30.

So what is it about the Dragon Boat Festival that appeals to foreigners? “Its an unusual sport,” says one racer from Germany. “Its not like everybodys doing it. Thats one of the reasons that theres such great team spirit in a dragon boat team – everybody feels like were doing something special.” And what about the zongzi? “Ehhh, theyre not bad, I guess,” he says. “Something of an acquired taste. I just havent really acquired it yet.”

Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important lunar festivals in China.It is on the 5th of the fifth lunar month.

端午节是中国的一个最重要的农历节日。它是在农历第五个月的第五。

Almost every Chinese spends this festival.Before,in China,when this day comes,we dont have holiday.But from year 2008 on,the government specified this day as the holiday.Therefore,we can have enough time and energy to celebrate this day.

几乎每一个中国人在这个节日。之前，在中国，当这一天来临的时候，我们没有假日。但从一年2008，政府指定的这一天作为假日。因此，我们可以有足够的时间和精力来庆祝这一天。

In my memery,Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of the greatest poet Quyuan who was a patriot and died for his Country.He died from suicide .He threw himself into the river.In order to memorize him,people invented the zongzi which is a pyramid-shaped dumpling made by glutinous rice wrapped in reed or bamboo leaves.This custom is handed down till now.We now still eat zongzi.When it mentions zongzi,we have to mention Jiaxing zongzi from Zhenjiang province.The zongzi from this place is very famous and delicious .We suggest you should have a try.

Besides eating zongzi in this festival,some places also have dragon boat races.It is also in memory of Quyuan.Dragon boat is a quite interesting game which is liked by people deeply.Also there are many other activities that day.In my hometown,we need to eat eggs.I think everyone must have their own ways to celebrate their festival.

除本节吃粽子，也有一些地方的龙舟比赛。这也是为了纪念屈原。龙舟是一个很有趣的游戏，是人们喜爱的深入。也有很多其他活动的那一天。在我的家乡，我们要吃鸡蛋。我认为每个人都应该有自己的方式为了庆祝他们的节日。

The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the

society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than

the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going

to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago.

It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof.

In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage

to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much

more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time

instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In

addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and

professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of

waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a

foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a

message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also,

the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of

delivery.

However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I

might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also,

there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last,

Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too

much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the

Internet.

Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to

me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I

can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

端午节快到了。远处山上的空气中弥漫着艾草的香味。然后它继续随风漂流。它让每个家庭都变得绿色。在六月的编年史中，有一首关于端午节的诗。

我印象中的端午节在流苏般的绿色丝绸之间穿梭。

悬崖上挂下来的绿色丝线是奶奶包粽子的宝贝。通常在前一天采摘，只需要用清水清洗。粽子煮熟后，薄薄的绿丝中所含的清香会渗透到竹笋和竹叶的各个层次，渗透进来又渗透出去。是的，奶奶用来包粽子的竹叶是那些有棕色和黑色图案并带有一些毛发的竹叶。它们在未知的时间被拾起并储存。尽管它们已经被卷成了卷轴，但它们仍然散发着劳动艺术的芳香。

竹笋和竹叶是用在老房子里挖了几十年的井水冲洗的。在井的边缘有一个木桶，由于水太多，它变得很重。很明显，把手变黄了，但是桶壁已经长出了一点青苔。有阳光的时候，井壁上会有一些不同大小的白点。它们是太阳的缩影，更像人们挖井时眼中的希望。

记忆中的端午节在我嘴角流淌，粘满了米粒。

我喜欢左手拿着一个破脑袋的咸鸭蛋，右手拿着一个刚刚去掉红线的豆粽子。我更喜欢把一根筷子插入满是米香味的粽子的四个角中的一个，然后轻轻咬下另外三个角。刚刚煮好的粽子被串在竹竿上冷却。结果，没过多久，热气腾腾的粽子就让整个大厅充满了它们的香味。冷却后，取下几根线，将几个圆咸鸭蛋放入竹篮中，一个一个地送粽子。

这时，也有人会把美味的粽子送到我们家门口。然而，奶奶很少吃。两大罐粽子中只有一两罐足够一家人吃。我以为是奶奶知道邻居喜欢粽子，所以她给了很多。现在很明显，奶奶不仅送了粽子，还送了粽子里那些看不见却很香的东西。那些看得见的和看不见的都变成了美丽的微笑，就像端午节的鲜花，只是对那个人叹息。沧桑已经填满了脸颊。

我多么希望我能再吃到那个包着甜味的粽子。我耸耸肩，深深地吸了吸鼻子。的确，我又闻到了空气中隐隐约约的艾草的香味。香味飘进我心中的小屋，一首端午节的诗飘进了六月的编年史。

Yesterday, my mother clean the house, she did the big cleaning, so she searched every corner of the house, many old things were dig out, like the toys when I owned at the very early age. But there was one thing surprised me most, it is my photo album, my mother was happy to find it, she opened it to me, I saw myself in different stages. The photo album recorded me since I was born, I saw the wonderful moment my parents wrote, like the date I first talked, my parents took the picture of the moment. Seeing these moments, I felt so thankful to my parents, for not only they recording these beautiful moment, but also for they raise me up, they are such good parents that they cultivate me with all their hearts. I will return them when I grow up.

昨天，我的妈妈打扫了房子，她做了大扫除，所以她搜索了房间的每一个角落，很多旧东西被翻出来，比如我很小时候就有的玩具。但是有一样东西最让我震惊，那就是我的相册集，我的妈妈很高兴找到了它，她向是打开了相册集，我看到了不同时期的自己。相册集记录了从我出生起的一切，我看到了父母写下的美好时刻，比如我第一次说话的日子，他们也拍下了这个时刻。看到这些，我很感激父母，不仅仅是为了他们记录下的这些美妙的时刻，也是因为他们把我养大，他们是如此称职的父母，全心全意地养育了我。等我长大了要回报他们。
