包粽子首先要准备好糯米、粽叶、绳子等。我看着外婆把糯米放进水里泡了十分钟左右，糯米全湿了，有点胀，然后滤干水;粽叶一片一片洗干净，用开水烫好，烫过的粽叶变得更软，而且有清香飘出来;绳子也要剪成长短合适的一段备用。

外婆首先拿着两片粽叶，一折，做成一个圆锥型的“斗”，用左手固定好，再把糯米放进“斗”里，注意不要装太满，右手把粽叶的尾巴往前拉，紧紧的盖在“斗”上，并用手指把盖的边缘压下去，弄平整以后把过长的粽叶折向右侧，用绳子绑好，一个粽子就完成了。

大家像支离弦的箭，飞一般地冲了过去，我蹦蹦跳跳地跑了过去心想：“看老师包粽子好像很简单，我一定也可以。”过了一会儿，我的粽子只差最后一步了!我用劲压下去，老师也来帮我，我眼里充满了开心，以为我的第一个粽子就要完成了!结果我反反复复地压它，把箬叶弄破了。第一次尝试就这样失败了，我眼里的开心走了，只剩下了失望!

于是我又重新拿材料包了一次，前面的步骤我不一会儿就弄好了，到了最后一步了，这次我眼里快喷出火来了，死死的盯着粽子，我压呀压，啊，又破了!又要重新包了，我已经没有信心了，垂头丧气的，任小雪这时看见了过来帮我。不一会儿任小雪居然帮我包好了，我又惊讶又开心，我的第一个粽子包好了。

虽然这次包粽子很不顺心，但是我依然很喜欢包粽子，很喜欢端午节，我相信我下次一定会包的更好的。

有很多传统节日，端午节是我国古老的传统节日之一。端午节始于中国的春秋战国时期，至今已有2000多年历史。端午节的由来与传说很多，最为广泛流传的传说之一是源于纪念屈原。

屈原是春秋时期楚怀王的大臣。他倡导举贤授能，富国强兵，力主联齐抗秦，遭到贵族子兰等人的强烈反对，屈原遭馋言陷害被革职，并被赶出都城，流放到沅、湘流域。他在流放中，写下了忧国忧民的《离骚》、《天问》、《九歌》等不朽诗篇，独具风貌，影响深远(因而，端午节也称诗人节)。公元前278年，秦军攻破楚国京都。屈原眼看自己的祖国被侵略，心如刀割，但是始终不忍舍弃自己的祖国，于五月五日，在写下了绝笔作《怀沙》之后，抱石投汨罗江身死，以自己的生命谱写了一曲壮丽的爱国主义乐章。

传说屈原死后，楚国百姓哀痛异常，纷纷涌到汨罗江边去凭吊屈原。渔夫们划起船只，在江上来回打捞他的真身。有位渔夫拿出为屈原准备的饭团、鸡蛋等食物，“扑通、扑通”地丢进江里，说是让鱼龙虾蟹吃饱了，就不会去咬屈大夫的身体了。人们见后纷纷仿效。一位老医师则拿来一坛雄黄酒倒进江里，说是要药晕蛟龙水兽，以免伤害屈大夫。后来为怕饭团为蛟龙所食，人们想出用楝树叶包饭，外缠彩丝，发展成棕子。

以后，在每年的五月初五，中国百姓家家都要浸糯米，洗粽叶包粽子，千百年来盛行不衰，还有了龙舟竞渡、吃粽子、喝雄黄酒的风俗;以此来纪念爱国诗人屈原。甚至传到了日本朝鲜及东南诸国。

Environment Protection

Nowadays, peoples life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.

Why this? Because, firstly, some factories are pouring wastes into rivers, lakes, seas and so forth; secondly, because of human activities, agreat number of plants and animals are losing their lives; thirdly, using modern machines and chemicals is bad for the environment. Besides these, there are a lot of human activities which have done or are doing harm to our surroundings.

For this, I think, first, our government should make drastic measures to regulate human activities; second, we human beings should take pains-taking work to stop ourselves destroying the environment and try our best to protect our living space more.
