Last summer holiday, I took a trip to Yunnan. It is in the southern part of

our country .It is really a very beautiful place grand mountains, clean rivers

and kind people. Trees and flowers are seen everywhere. Every year there are

lots and lots of visitors.

Maybe you have heard about Shi Lin (stone forests). There are all kinds of

strange stones. Some of the small stones look like graceful girls; and the big

stones look like handsome men. Other stones look like cats, peafowls,

like a beautiful girl in a legend is the most famous .Its name is A Shima.

I also went to Li Jiang. The roads in that city are just like the Eight

In fact, I think making mistakes is the best way to learn. Moreover, if one wants to make new advances, it is necessary to act. Innovations do not come about through reading but through experimentation. Finally, one can apply the skills and insights gained through the study of books to practical experience, making an already meaningful experience more meaningful. However, unless it is applied to real experiences, book knowledge remains theoretical and, in the end, is useless. That is why I believe that knowledge gained from practical experience is more important than that acquired from books.

Today a Grand Art and Cultural Show was held in our school with the aim of celebrating the 70th anniversary of our motherland and singing high praise of the great achievements we have accomplished in the past seven decades. In the course of the activity, the students in our school put on a variety of colorful performances, such as singing, dancing and reciting poems, and all performers were well prepared, making a deep impression on the audience. At the end of the show, a singing program, Me and my country won the first place. From where I stand, this activity is extremely meaningful for the reason that not only does it enable us to get rid of pressure from our study but also it inspires us to work hard and make great contributions to our country. It was a successful performance.

When we meet difficulties, most of us will be feeling distressed, just like

the whole world is down and there is no hope for tomorrow. When we look back

after many years, the difficulties at that time are just small matters, only if

we can hold on to these. Life is wonderful, there is no need to let down on life

when we meet difficulties, like a popular song“How can we see the rainbow

without the storm”. Once I failed on the exam, I feel my world is over, I

couldn’t eat well, I just let my parents down, I was so guilty about it. My

teacher told me that the exam was not a big deal, I should forget it and kept

moving on. Since than, I work hard and trying to forget it. Now when I look back

on the failing exam, I think it is not a big deal.

There is a saying that every family has its trouble. Indeed, no one can go

on well all the time. My parents have found the good way to educate us. Thus,

when there is conflict happening between the relatives, we obey the rules and

know what to do. My parents have set up many rules for me and my sister, which

works to solve problems. The first rule is to say thank you when we get help.

Such as when someone open the door for us, we also need to show gratitude. I

find people feel happy when I say thank you to them. The second rule is to never

get angry for more than two days. So when I have disputes with my sister, we

wont be mad at each other for long time. The family rules make me a better

person.
