一年一度的春节马上就要来到了，大家都忙着贴春联，每家都是喜气洋洋的气氛，很开心，我们家也不例外，大年二十九，我刚起床，爷爷就喊着让我和妹妹贴春联，我们在大门中央贴了一个大大的福字，大门两边贴了春联，上联是“福中生喜年年乐”下联是“富上添财岁岁欢”横批是“新春大吉”我们很快就贴好了，我看着自己的劳动成果非常开心。

除夕早晨，我们穿上新衣服，就和姐姐去放鞭炮。一阵“噼里啪啦”的声音从我们耳朵里穿过，好像要把祝福送到千家万户，我们开心极了。除夕夜晚，我们吃过晚饭，我就和爷爷，妹妹一起观看春节联欢晚会。那精彩的表演让我心情豁然开朗，有相声，有小品还有歌舞……非常好看。但我最喜欢小沈阳?丫蛋?赵本山还有老毕演的《不差钱》太好玩了。

大年初一我刚起床，就发现枕头底下有压岁钱，妹妹也有，我们开心的笑了，然后我们吃完饺子，就去外公家拜年，拜完以后，外公外婆，就给我们压岁钱，还把好吃的都拿出来了，给我们吃，我们都非常开心。

我喜欢过年，过年真好。

The spring festival is the most important festival for the chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like christmas in the west. all people living away from home go back, becoming the busiest time for transportation systems of about half a month from the spring festival. airports, railway stations and long-distance bus stations are crowded with home returnees.

Strictly speaking, the spring festival starts every year in the early days of the 12th lunar month and will last till the mid 1st lunar month of the next year. of them, the most important days are spring festival eve and the first three days. the chinese government now stipulates people have seven days off for the chinese lunar new year.

On the thirty day of the year, my mother and father brought back a spring festival couplet in the early morning. The big red paper was written with golden words, and it was happy and auspicious. The Lunar New Year is now popularly known as the Spring Festival because it starts from the Begining of Spring . Its origin is too old to be traced. Several explanations are hanging around. All agree, however, that the word Nian, which in modern Chinese solely means year , was originally the name of a monster beast that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of a new year.

One legend goes that the beast Nian had a very big mouth that would swallow a great many people with one bite. People were very scared. One day, an old man came to their rescue, offering to subdue Nian. To Nian he said, I hear say that you are very capable, but can you swallow the other beasts of prey on earth instead of people who are by no means of your worthy opponents? So, it did swallow many of the beasts of prey on earth that also harassed people and their domestic animals from time to time.

After that, the old man disappeared riding the beast Nian. He turned out to be an immortal god. Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests, people begin to enjoy their peaceful life. The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first

four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on
