I have read the book called Readaholic recently. I can know a lot through reading. I can learn some foreign culture and habitude . It is really interesting. Most of my classlates are interested in it.

At first, I found it that it is hard to understand the articles. There are a lot of new words and difficult sentences in it. But these beautiful illustrations attracted me. This book also introduces a lot of famous cities ,such as Beijing,Oxford,London and so on. Londn is my dream city. It is a wonderful and old city. There are many places of interest in London . Tower Bridge, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, St Pauls Cathedral and Millennium Dome, all of the above attractions are popular for holiday. I like London eye best. It is a very large wheel that I can go around in to get a fantastic view of London.That is the weather is clear. Do you like London, too?

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is

rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had

no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken

place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals,

cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is

greatly improved.

I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard

so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

When memory began for me, my grandfather was past sixty-a great tall man

with thick hair becoming gray. He had black eyes and a straight nose which ended

in a slightly flattened tip. Once he explained seriously to me that he got that

flattened tip as a small child when he fell down and stepped on his nose.

The little marks of laughter at the corners of his eyes were the prodnct of

a kindly and humorous nature. The years of work which had bent his shoulders had

never dulled his humour nor his love of a joke.

Everywhere he went, "Gramp" made friends easily. At the end of half an hour

you felt you had known him all your life. I soon learned that he hated to give

orders , but that when he had to, he tried to make his orders sound like

suggestions.

One July morning, as he was leaving to go to the cornfield, he said :

"Edwin, you can pick up the potatoes in the field today if you want to do that.

" Then he drove away with his horses.

The day passed, and I did not have any desire to pick up potatoes. Evening

came and the potatoes were still in the field. Gramp, dusty and tired, led the

horses to get their drink.

"How many bags of potatoes were there?" Gramp inquired. "I dont know.

"

"How many potatoes did you pick up?"

"I didnt pick any. " "Not any! Why not?"

"You said I could pick, them up if I wanted to. You didnt say I had to.

"

In the next few minutes I learned a lesson I would not forget: when Gramp

said I could if I wanted to, he meant that I should want to.

Gram hated cruelty and injustice. The injustices of history, even those of

a thousand years before, angered her as much as the injustices of her own

day.

She also had a deep love of beauty. When she was almost seventy-five, and

had gone to live with one of her daughters, she spent a delightful morning

washing dishes because, as she said, the beautiful patterns on the dishes gave

her pleasure. The bird, the flowers, the clouds-all that was beautiful around

her- pleased her. She was like the father of the French painter, Millet, who

manage to keep the softer qualities in a world of daily struggle.

Such were the two people with whom I spent the months from June to

September in the wonderful days of summer and youth.

我说干就干，那盆子倒了一碗水，可倒的太满了，一不小心把水打翻了，泼了满身都是，衣服都湿了。我找出我的糖罐，拿出我一直都舍不得吃的“大白兔”奶糖，一连剥出几颗，全都放进剩下的水里。开始泡糖喽!我在水里抓起一把糖搓了又搓，后来感觉还是没有变化，就干脆拿出妈妈的搓衣板，边搓还边唱着歌，我还拿出筷子用力地搅拌，后来我觉得还不够就撒了点盐。过了一会我满心期待地去看我泡的糖，我看见水已经变得浑浊了，用手去捞，却什么也捞不到，我就拿出舀菜的漏勺来舀，最后舀出了几颗豌豆大小的白色小丸，我尝了一颗，立马吐了出来，太难吃了!原来的奶香味全没有了，还带有一股苦涩。

突然我听见门外有声音，好像有人回来了，我马上把水倒了，看见自己泡的糖随着水流走了，心里别提有多失落。我出门一看，原来是妈妈回来了，妈妈见我衣服都湿了，就问我怎么回事。我不敢隐瞒，就把事情都一五一十都告诉了妈妈，妈妈一听哈哈大笑，说：“傻孩子，你可真笨!是‘泡汤’，不是‘泡糖’呀!是指把事情搞砸了!“我听了也跟着笑了起来。

这件事现在回想起来都觉得十分有趣!

First of all. 人人都有过第一次的经历，而最令我难忘的就应该是那次了。

去年放暑假的时候，我住在奶奶家，马上就要中午12点了，肚子正饿的“咕咕”叫的时候却发现所有的人竟然都睡着了。（我家人有睡午觉的习惯，而我又不忍心把他们都弄醒）于是在这个时候我突然想出了一个好主意：自己做饭。

可是，又有一道难题放在我的面前了：做点什么好呢？我左思右想，恩，就做个最简单的蛋吵饭吧！

首先，把所有的原料都准备好，就开工了！把火腿肠切成小丁，放在小盘子里；再把青豆泡在小碗里：炒饭（幸好我老妈教过我几招，要不我今天就非吃“凉大米饭拌火腿肠”了）好了，言归正传。这时候我已经把油放进锅里烧热了，发出“噼噼啪啪”的响声。心想：该把鸡蛋和肠放进去了吧！于是我就把鸡蛋捣碎，连同火腿肠一股脑的放进了锅里。这一放可不得了，从锅中溅出的油星全部都落在了我的胳膊上，一股钻心的疼痛马上流遍了全身，我真相大叫一声，可是忍住了。只用水冲了冲就继续干了。

再往锅里一看，哇噻！锅底都有点糊了，于是我赶紧用铲子把有点糊的地方铲了出去。继而把米饭也放了进去。又用铲子铲了一会，心想这下可好了吧！于是就尝了一口。乖乖，不是吧，我还没加盐呢！于是又急忙把盐加了进去。

呼。终于大功告成了！

虽然很苦很累还受了伤，不过我终于吃到了自己做的第一顿饭，虽然不是很好吃，不过，我相信有了这次的经历，下次一定会做得更好！

PS：其实这篇作文里的做饭的步骤被我班老师给改了，我原本写的是先把饭放进去再把火腿畅和青豆放进去的，可是老师说步骤不对，可是我当时确实是那么做的，也做熟了，所以在这里问下大家做蛋炒饭是先放饭还是后放，

升入三年级，我们新开设了一门课程是英语。

第一次上课时的情景让我记忆犹新。课前，我和我的同学们一起讨论“英语课学什么内容呢？”话音刚落，铃声就响了。我们迅速座好等待英语老师的到来，老师一进门，我就觉得教室里的气氛和往常不同，静得连一根针掉下去的声音都听得见。是因为第一次上英语课吗？

我们的英语老师有一头乌黑亮丽的头发，眼睛大大的，个子不高也不矮，但是整个人却很有精神。她教我们学的第一个词是“ms 刘”，有很多同学都不知道什么意思，老师马上翻译过来跟我们说“这个词的意思是刘女士或是刘老师”。随后英语老师就开始讲述第一节英语课。

她先给我们讲了讲英语单词，但是我听的一头雾水，整节课也是云里雾里的，什么都没听懂。放学后我带着英语课本来到校门口等待妈妈来接我回家，妈妈来到校门口笑着说：“你怎么带着英语课本啊？”“我没有听懂老师讲的英语。”刚说完我的眼泪就在眼眶里打转。

回到家妈妈给我打开录音让我跟着读，可还是没有听懂。然后就着急得趴在桌子上哭了起来。妈妈跟我说：“别着急，等你哥哥放学回来教教你。”话音刚落哥哥便打开门大叫一声：“我回来了！”把我逗得笑了起来。哥哥看我脸上还挂着泪珠，便问我怎么回事，我跟哥哥说了原因之后哥哥跟我说：“没事，走，我教你去！”然后我就跟着哥哥来到我的房间开始教我英语。

哥哥一边开着玩笑一边鼓励并教我学习英语，这让我觉得英语没有那么枯燥无味，使我对它充满了兴趣。经过哥哥的耐心指导让我学会了老师之前所讲的那些内容并且预习了后面一个单元，这使我觉的英语并没有想象中的那么难。

哥哥对我的鼓励，让我信心倍增，从那时起我就更努力地，上课专心的听讲，课后细心的做练习、听录音，所以现在的英语还挺不错的呢。

除夕夜到了，家家户户张灯结彩，鞭炮齐鸣，大家开开心心地把旧春联换成新春联。此时，我不禁想起了宋代诗人王安石的《元日》“爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。”好一派热闹的景象啊!

关于除夕夜，还有这样一个传说。在很久很久以前，有个叫“年”的怪物。它有着巨大的身子和锋利的爪子。每到这一天，都会到村庄里去吃人。大家都很害怕。有位智者告诉大家“年”最害怕红色和鞭炮。过了一年，“年”又来了，大家用鞭炮开始反击。从此以后，“年”再也没有回来。大家过上了幸福快乐的生活。

现在，一提到除夕夜，人们就会想起年夜饭与烟花。“鱼”有“余”的谐音，所以在年夜饭上吃鱼，就有“年年有余”的意思，面条有长寿的意思，所以我们每个人都要吃面条。吃完晚饭，我们就迫不及待地去看放烟花。只听“嗖嗖嗖”的几声，一道道亮光飞向天空，天空中顿时开放了一个大火球，整个天空都被照亮了。烟花晚会终于开始了!一个又一个的烟花飞向天空，展示出不同的魅力，有的像绽开的花朵，有的像一个大蘑菇，有的像一条银色的瀑布，还有的烟花散开了，我形容不出它的样子。红的，蓝的，黄的，绿的，几种颜色混在一起，五颜六色，美丽极了!有时，好几种烟花在同一个地点炸开，便形成了各种各样美丽的图案。我正看得入迷，突然“嗖”的一声

，一大颗烟花在我上方炸开，流光溢彩，火星稀稀疏疏窜向四周，旋即又消失了。紧接着又有一个烟花在空中绽放，映着人们的笑脸……看着这美丽的夜景，我情不自禁地喊道：“这真是‘火树银花合，星桥铁锁开。暗尘随马去，明月逐人来。’啊!”

告别了2020年，我们迎来了全新的2021年。这个除夕夜是我过得最有特色的一个夜晚，我永远也不会忘记这个夜晚!
