I have a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as

well as focus on my study. As it’s known to all, the Spring Festival is the most

important in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it.

Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoyment

during the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shopping

with my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then,

it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. My

parents prepared the big dinner and I could only act as assistant. The dinner

The new semester has begun. In this semester, I plan to have a plenary English time, so I made the following plan which is considered perfect.

I will preview the new lessons for 30 minutes to 1 hour on the day before the English class. In class, Ill try my best to understand every point. If necessary, Ill take notes and ask at least one question every class. And I want to be active in speaking. According to the requirement of the teacher, I am going to take written exercises. Its time to read texts aloud from seven twenty-five to a quarter to eight a.m everyday except Sunday. My oral English practice will be done for 30 minutes twice a week. To enlarge my vocabulary, I should learn 60 words everyday except Sunday. As we all know, reviewing the learnt courses is very important. So 1 hours reviewing on Sunday is essential.

Hows my perfect plan? I will insist on carrying it out and make an effort on my English learning .I believe it will work. Come on!

The summer holiday is approaching. Our class have had a heat discussion about what to do during the vocation.

Some agree to staying at home. They think it’s convenient and comfortable. What’s better, they can save some money for some other purposes. But they will lose a chance to get to know the outside world. However, others prefer to go out for travelingbecause it can increase their knowledge and broaden their views. But it will take them more money and meet some more difficulties while traveling.

In my opinion, it would be much better to stay at home, for I can do what I like, such as reading books, watching TV, and helping my parents with the housework.

Today is my birthday and Im so excited about it.In the morning I put a

Zeng Qiao is one of my friends. She is a beautiful, outgoing and good-tempered girl. She smiles frequently. I think it’s her smile that makes her beauty. We live in the same dormitory, so that we always stay together, no matter going to classroom or having dinners. At first, I don’t like her very much, because she is always talking. Summer can be very hot in southern taibei where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more. I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations. Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this. At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

Since I go to high school, I live in the school and stay away from my parents. I have three roommates, at the beginning, we have trouble in staying in the same room, but now we have got used to it.

One of my roommates impresses me so much, since she comes to our room, she keeps the habit of reading the novel when we go to bed. She told me that when she lived with her parents, she dared not to read it because her mother would blame her for sleeping late. Now she is very happy that she is out of control, it seems that she is free.

But I feel sorry for her, because she is short-sighted now, what’s more, she is lagging behind other students in the study. Staying away from her parents, she is not strong enough to behave herself. We should have the strong will and behave ourselves.
