The Chinese character "fu" (meaning blessing or happiness) is a must. The character put on paper can be pasted normally or upside down, for in Chinese the "reversed fu" is homophonic with "fu comes", both being pronounced as "fudaole." Whats more, two big red lanterns can be raised on both sides of the front door. People attach great importance to Spring Festival Eve. At that time, all family members eat dinner together. The meal is more luxurious than usual. 幺妈死了都3年多了，可抹不去她活着时的身影。

记得她刚嫁到幺幺家来时，我去给她敬茶，她高兴地给我糖吃，那感觉，我现在还能找回来。

幺妈长得有点儿胖，一大把头发可以梳成马尾辫，一双眼睛双大又圆，长得挺好看，可是她有病。听母亲说：“那病是治不好的，是因为脑膜炎影起的。”那病可真吓人，就是突然间，人似乎失去了知觉，倒在地上口吐白沫，浑身发抖，像抽筋一样，还用牙齿咬舌头。真挺可怕的，我见了一回，吓得我手足无措，只得大声喊，让幺幺把她扶起来。幺幺带她治了好几次，可就是不见效，老复发，连武汉也去过了，可就是没效，医生开的药都吃了，还是不管用，后来干脆不治了。

幺妈因为这病，受了奶奶多少气啊!每当我过去玩的时候，都听见奶奶在说她这不好，那不好，我就过去安慰幺妈，让她别放在心上，又批评奶奶，不让她说幺妈。

其实幺妈是一个既勤劳又聪明的人。每次，我去玩，都看见她不是在缠稻草靶(用来烧火做饭)，就是在洗衣服，偶尔看一两回电视，都被奶奶说的要命，她似乎很大度，不管奶奶怎么说，她也不做声，让奶奶说去吧!我问幺妈干嘛不去反驳奶奶?她说了一句我现在还记得的话，那就是：说就让她说去吧，反正又不费我的口舌与力气。我似懂非懂地，直到现在才明白了。

幺妈是属龙的人。一般人们认为属龙的人很聪明，我通过她身上散发出来的“龙气”，认为她确实很聪慧，她还教我做过喇叭。摘一根蒲公英，把花的部分掐掉，只留下茎，然后用手把茎轻轻捏扁，放到嘴边轻轻一吹，便会发出“呜嗡……”的`声音，像蜜蜂的翅膀发出的声音，经过她的启发，我便把樟树叶卷成筒状，用手捏捏，照样能吹出“呜嗡……”的声音。

后来幺妈生了一个儿子，就是现在的云云弟弟，我的堂弟。

云云弟弟有一个小摇篮，好像是她的外婆给他买的，我当时很羡慕，多么漂亮的摇篮啊!它还有四个轮子呢!我推着摇篮到稻场上去玩，结果，推着推着，一块小石头将小车颠翻了，云云弟弟跟着也掉出来，摔在了地上“哇哇”地哭了起来，我吓坏了，不知怎么办才好。幺妈寻声出来，抱起了云云弟弟，数落了我一番，我哭着跑回了家，边跑边用袖子抹着眼泪，嘴里嘟哝着：“以后再也不过去了。”可是三天一过，我又过去跟幺妈她们玩了，不过这次有母亲陪着我，母亲替我给幺妈道了歉，幺妈说：二嫂，您别说了，都是小孩子嘛，我那天的话可能说重了。”幺妈笑了笑，仿佛一切都过去了。我听了很高兴，从母亲身后跑出来，继续跟幺妈嬉闹。

幺妈是一个很大方的人。每次我向她借什么，她都尽量满足我。一次，家中来了客，母亲让我过去向幺妈借麻将，幺妈听我说完，立即取出麻将箱让我提回家。不过，幺妈也喜欢打麻将，她跟母亲都很朴实，不像村里有些人，经常耍赖，赢了，一拍_就走，输了便想方设法非要赢回来不可。 go away, and you have to try to win back when you lose.

可是，幺妈最终还是遭了噩运，她去堰塘里清洗衣服时，突然发病，掉进了堰塘……她再也没有起来，后来奶奶发现她时，她已浮在堰塘，结束了年仅30岁的生命。

母亲时常说自己做梦时梦到幺妈，在梦中，幺妈还活生生地与自己谈笑风生，可是醒来却什么也没有了，有时，我看见母亲失落的神情，真为她少了幺妈这样一位好玩伴而伤心。
