她是一个完全不会做饭的女人!她在美国四十五年的独居生活都是靠着吃面包和喝牛奶度过的!可见，她在生活上面也是一窍不通的。如果她只一味地去学怎样做一个持家的好女人，我想，她也就没有那种对周围生活的独特的观察力了，因为她的时间都花在学做饭上了，也就写不出那样脍炙人口的小说了，她也就不是现在人们眼中的张爱玲了。

在错的路上前进，就是一种后退。只有在正确的路上前进，才是一种进步。

去年我和妈妈到北京旅行，在北京遇到的几件小事，让我感受到了北京的友善和温暖。

那天我们坐了三个小时的飞机到达北京，到达酒店后顾不上舟车劳累，立即出去寻找离住地最近的国家图书馆地铁站购买交通卡，妈妈说，要是没有交通卡，我们的行程就会诸多不便了。一边说一边就上了一辆公交车。走了两站，妈妈说："儿子，我们可能坐反了方向了，得赶紧下车。"旁边的一个阿姨看到我们母子俩焦急的神情，面带微笑问道："你们要去哪，是不是遇到麻烦了?"妈妈尴尬地跟她说我们坐反方向的事，这位阿姨听完后，笑笑说：“你们在下一站下车吧，我也下去，我跟你们说怎么走。”“这怎么好意思呢。”妈妈说到。“没关系，北京地方大，找不着是经常有的事情。”阿姨笑着说。在阿姨的指引下，我们终于找到国家图书馆地铁站，如愿买到交通卡，感觉交通卡也是暖暖的。

记得那天从故宫坐地铁回住处，要走十多站的地铁呢。一上地铁，我的眼睛就到处寻觅着空位，毕竟走了一天了，若是有个位置该多好啊!但车箱里满满是人，连站的地方都快没有，别想坐了，我只能坐在妈妈的脚背上了。就在这时，旁边坐位的一位叔叔轻轻拉了我一下，说：“小朋友，累啦?坐这吧。”说着，起来把座位让了给我，我连忙道谢，觉得从来没有坐得这么舒适过。叔叔在下一站下了车，上来一个老婆婆，手里提着两个大包，我稍稍迟了一下站了起来“阿姨，您坐这里。”“太谢谢你了小朋友。”我这回老老实实地站在妈妈旁边，生怕坐下来老婆婆不好意思坐。说来也奇怪，刚才的疲惫竟然少了很多。

北京的友善一站站，让我们身在异乡倍感温暖。

想要坚持的人心中满怀的是希望。如果刘翔心中没有冲击奥运冠军的希望，又怎会有因坚持而得来的荣誉;如果爱迪生心中没有照明世界的希望，又怎会有因坚持而换来的永不熄灭的电灯。坚持不是一县的昙花，却是那四季不败的常青树，是那朝阳的向日葵------对未来幸福的希望不断奋发。

尝试过坚持的人煅造了包含毅力的信念。尝试过坚强的人都经历过无数的困苦，都面临过非常人能承受的恐惧，都避免不了插入心扉的绞痛。正因为这极强的坚持，排山倒海的气势冲击人心，毅力在不断的坚持下愈战愈强，使信念镀上一层百箭不侵的毅力盔甲。

掌握坚持的人是成功的，是永不言弃的。英国首相丘吉尔用他一生的成功经验告诉世人：成功根本没有秘诀可言，如果有的话，就有两个：第一个就是坚持到底，永不言弃;第二个就是当你想放弃的时候，回过头来看看第一个秘诀，坚持到底，永不言弃。

在成功的道路上，坚持是非常重要的，面对挫折时，要告诉自己：要坚持，再来一次。因为着一次的失败已经过去，跌到了，爬起来。只是成功者跌到的次数比爬起的次数要少一次，平庸者跌到的次数比爬起来的次数多一次而已。最后一次爬起来的人我们叫他成功，最后一次爬不起来，不愿爬起来，丧失坚持要放弃的人就叫失败。

坚持是毅力，坚持是灵魂，坚持宛如苦尽甘来时品茗的琼浆美露，是人亢奋后陶醉;坚持宛如雨后的彩虹，使人经历无数风雨后饱尝甜头。

埋在心里的胜利之种还未开花吗?不用着急，请用坚持的汗水将其灌溉，相信成功离此时不再遥远……

这不由得让我想到曾风靡一时的一句话：一个人的努力固然重要，可有时选择比努力更重要。

对于当今社会，又何尝不是如此呢?

在这个物质文化高速发展的时代，由科技和经济发达带来的后遗症也屡见不鲜，其中最不容忽视的就是环境污染问题，而有些相关部门不仅未利用自己的职责清理污染，反而因为短暂的经济效益而助纣为虐，尤其是一些河道污染，如果不能及时做出决断，最后不仅生态系统被破坏，还会危害人类自身，最终自食其果。

因此，我们要敢于直面惨淡的现状，并有“自食”的气度，早日整改污染，造福于自己以及后代。我想，这或许也是人的思想为什么会由“人定胜天”而演变为可持续发展的原因吧。

而放眼我们自身，应当也做到“自食”。有时，我们并不需要有壮士断臂那种流血精神。一些微小的牺牲就能带来长久的效益，那又何乐而不为呢?如除去一些平时的陋习，就能使人终身受益，这难道不是为一种意义上的“自食”呢?

但我们虽然要有敢于果断做决定的气魄，却也不能盲目的“自食”。有时，盲目的“自食”反而会让困局更加糟糕，那么这就是得不偿失的事情，也失去了“自食”思想的精髓。

总而言之，“自食”固然是一种好的方法，用之得当，是一条使人更快通往成功的捷径，可我们也不能急于求成，最后反倒弄巧成拙。

The New Year is coming and this term has finished. Now, I can enjoy a happy

winter holiday. In winter holiday, I don’t have to get up early every morning.

It’s the best thing for me. I often get up at nine o’clock in the morning. My

parents go to work so I stay at home alone. I will go out for breakfast. Noodle,

milk and egg are my favorites. Then I go back home to watch TV or meet my

friends. We always have many things to do. My parents would go home at noon so I

have lunch at home. In the afternoon, I will sleep and then do some homework. In

short, I spend most time in playing. I love winter holiday.
