出生于绥中的国家辽宁省在一个教师家庭1965年6月21日，杨利伟有一个幸福的童年和父母。他不仅是个好学生，但他也有一个礼物给数学。他赢得了很多数学竞赛的奖品。中学毕业后，杨利伟继续他的研究，在对人民解放军空军航空大学8。他学习很努力，和学士学位毕业后，成为一名战斗机飞行员。
