Well, you remember we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight the first thing we did was to have a good, long sleep. And after that?a good meal to make up for all that horrible airline stuff!

The first real day of our holiday was spent just walking around London to get a feel of the place. After that, however, we were more particular and planned each day carefully.

First, we looked at all the historical sights, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum and the National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. 二、认真选材

选用哪些材料来表达中心，这就是选择题材，选材要注意以下三点：

五、怎样写好写人的文章

写人的文章，必须抓住所要写的人物的特点，具体描写他的外貌、行动、语言和心理活动，使笔下的人物栩栩如生，形象感人。

1．人物外貌描写，就是对人物的容貌、衣着、姿态和神情等方面的描写。

写人物的外貌要注意三点：

第一，写人物的外貌是为了反映人物的思想品质和性格特征。如：小作者记叙他的老师“那时十八九岁。右嘴角边有榆钱大小的一块黑痣。在我的记忆里她是一个温柔和美丽的人。”这是为了用她那美丽的形象和温柔的性格，衬托她那美好的心灵。

第二，写人物的外貌，要抓住特点，表现出人物的个性。就拿“眼睛”来说，千百万人就有千百万双不同的眼睛。即使是同一个人，在不同时情况下，眼睛的表情也不同。比如当你成绩考得好时，眼睛会闪烁出欣喜的光芒；当你受到委屈时，眼睛又会流露出哀怨的神情；当你看到不良行为时，眼睛立刻会投以鄙夷的目光。抓住了这些特征，你写的眼睛就活了。

第三，写人物的外貌，要有先后次序。东一笔，西一笔，就没有条理了。

2．人物动作描写。

人的思想品质和性格是表现在行动中的。因此要写好人物，一是要多写他“做了什么“”和“怎样做的”。写人物的行动，既要仔细观察动作的全过程，又要观察整个动作是分几个环节进行的，分辨出动作的变化，这样才能将一连串的动作写好。同时还要用确切的词语，特别是动词来描写人物的动作，以加强文章的表现力。

3．人物的语言。

精彩的语言会使读者“闻其声而见其人。”写人物的语言，要合乎人物的年龄、身份、职业、经历和性格等要有人物的个性特点，不能千人一腔。人物对话的表述形式，常用的有以下四种：

⑴先写话是谁说的，是在什么场合，怀着什么心情说的，然后写说的话。

⑵说的话写在前面，然后交代这话是谁说的，以及说话人当时的心情、表情、语气等。

⑶先写说的话，然后交代这话是谁说的，以及说话时的心情、表情、动作等，再接着把话写完。

⑷只有说的话，前、后和中间都不交代这段话是谁说的，读者一看就明白。但这种对话形式多用于写两个人之间的对话（群众场合，七嘴八舌，不需要说明说话人时，也不用这种形式。）

4．人物的心理活动。

写人物的心理活动可反映出人物内心世界，表现人物的思想品格，写人物的心理活动，可以直接写出人物对事物的感受，表露人物的内心活动；也可以通过语言动作描写来暗示人物的心理状态。
