over 2,000 years, and is one of the mostimportant Chinese festivals as well.

There are variouscelebrating activities on that day, among which the customs of

eating rice dumplings anddragon boat racing are quite important.There are many

legends on the origin of the DragonBoat Festival.Some people think it is to

commemorate the poet Qu Yuan, while others say it isto be in honour of Wu Zi_u,

a famous general during the Warring States period. However, thelegend of Qu Yuan

spreads most widely. People appreciate highly the noble sentiment andprominent

talent of this patriotic poet and are very sympathetic with the ending that

hecommitted suicide by drowning himself in a river.

端午节(the Dragon Boat Festival)，又称重五节，于每年农历五月初五庆祝。

这是广泛流传2000多年的民间节日，也是中国最重要的节日之一。端午节当天举行各种庆祝活动，吃粽子和赛龙舟(dragon boat

racing)是其中的重要习俗。关于端午节的起源，有很多传说。一部分人认为端午节是为了纪念诗人屈原，另一部分人则认为是为了纪念战国时期的著名将领伍子胥。然而，屈原的传说流传最广。人们非常欣赏这位爱国诗人的高尚情操和出众才华，更对他投江自尽的结局深表同情。

I believe everybody has their own hobby. Different people have different

hobbies. For me, my hobby is music. I like music very much. It is magical for

me. It gives me the sense of happiness. It can make me happy when I am sad. I

will listen to music every day. I listen to it on my way home and school, before

fall asleep in bed and eat. Sometimes I will try to sing songs.

Music is part of our life, nearly everybody will listen to the music, no

matter what nation they are from. Music is divided into many types, such as the

blues, the country music, the rock and roll. Once blues belonged to the black

people, but as time went by, music is accepted by all classes. People always

share the hottest songs together, just like they can communicate. Once in the

foreign country, I had dinner in a restaurant, where there had the singers.

People enjoyed the music when they were eating. At this moment, it was music

that brought people together, and they share the same emotion.

记忆模糊了，只是记得，大家一直在哭。班主任周老师在哭，数学贺老师在哭，我们也在哭。老师们的赠言，我一点儿也没记住，只是记得贺老师的一句“孩子们，不要哭。”送给母校的节目也没有表演好，我们的节目是同学们用一次次热烈的掌声鼓励下来的。

讲离别赠言时，大家都强忍着泪水。可还是有人忍不住哭出来，周老师，周迎香同学，就连平时最淘气、最爱调皮捣蛋的杨青同学也不禁哭了起来。

纵使千方百计使眼泪留在眼眶中，但不争气的泪水总会流出来。我曾在课桌中放过一张纸条，上面写着：不在毕业典礼，你们永远无法懂得毕业的滋味。是的，别人是无论如何也不会体会到的。

“孩子们，不要哭。”每当耳边响起这句温暖人心的话语，我就止不住的流泪。是啊，毕业了，能不伤心吗？贺老师将我们视为孩子，可见我们在一起生活的多么融洽呀！我们又是多么的想让时间停留，让我们多相处一会儿！可时光老人却仍毫不犹豫的迈着稳健的步伐，一路奔跑着，不曾停留。

记得有一次，班里的一名同学不小心把窗户用腿顶破了。那时正在上数学课，因为是夏天，再加上炎炎烈日，贺老师让他打开上面的窗户，可谁知那名同学将玻璃顶破了。那名同学当即说：“赔吧！”看他脸上的表情，似乎真打算赔钱，就在这时，贺老师毫不迟疑的掏出10元钱，递给那位同学，让他去买。贺老师还风趣地说：“这次是我让你开窗户，玻璃碎了，我负责；下次要是你再把窗户弄碎，我可不管了。”那位同学惭愧的一笑，回到了座位上。贺老师用这句话，巧妙的让那位同学下了台。那堂课，同学们听得格外认真。

还有一件事，至今回忆起来仍历历在目。那是去年期中测试，本应得100分的我却因粗心，只得了90分。粗心的我把答案写错，把30的平方算成90……当时我真是后悔极了，眼泪夺眶而出。何老师安慰我说：“这次考不好，没关系，不过下次一定要好好考……”那亲切的话语，温柔的目光，让我觉得自己与贺老师的关系更加融洽，何老师在我心目中的形象也越发的和善可亲。

……

写着，写着，抬头一看，已是晚上九点多。拉开窗帘，仰望星空，似乎贺老师就是那颗最耀眼的星，她正微笑的看着我呢！瞧，炯炯有神的眼睛，漂亮的鼻梁，樱桃似的嘴巴，微微一笑，就露出两个甜甜的小酒窝。

啊，贺老师，请原谅我没有更加优美的词藻、华丽的语句来赞美您，但在我心目中，您永远都是我所敬爱的老师，永远都是智慧与美丽的化身，永远都是我心中一盏不灭的灯，指引着我走向未来，走向光明，走向成功！

“孩子们，不要哭。”耳边又响起这句温暖的话语，泪水再一次夺眶而出。“嗒。”泪水划过我的脸颊滴了下来，打湿了日记本。

Be Grateful to Our Parents

Since we were born， many people help us a lot. We should be grateful to their kindness. But the ones we should show our greatest appreciation are our parents. From the first day we appear in their lives， they give us all their love and care， but never expect anything in return. As long as they are there， we do not feel any difficulties， because they are always in front of our shelter， preventing us from difficulties and danger. In order to make our lives better， learn better， they do everything they can to create the best conditions for us， but ignore their own needs. Therefore， we need to cherish parents’ love and repay their upbringing. We should treat them as they treat us.
