一、问号

问号要用在一个直接的问句，而不是间接的。

如：How will you solve the problem? 是正确的用法，但用在I wonder how you will solve the problem?就不对了，应该使用句点而不是问号。

另外，在客气的用语中，也是用句点而不是问号。

如：Will you please give me a call tomorrow.

二、句点

1.句点用于当一句话完全结束时。

2.句点也可以用于英文单词的缩写。如：Mrs. | Dr. | P.S. 等。但要注意的是当缩写的字母形成了一个单词的时候就不要使用句点。如：IBM, DNA 等。

三、感叹号

感叹号用于感叹和惊叹的陈述中，在商业写作中要注意感叹号的应用，因为不恰当的使用会显得突兀及不稳重。

四、分号

1.与中文一样，分号用于分隔地位平等的独立子句。在某些情况下，使用分号比使用句点更显出子句之间的紧密联系，另外分号也经常与连接副词 thus, however, therefore一起使用。

如：I realize I need exercise; however, Ill lie down first to think about it.

2.在句子中如果已经使用过逗点，为了避免歧义的产生，就用分号来分隔相似的内容。

如：The employees were Tom Hanks, the manager; Jim White, the engineer; and Dr. Jack Lee.

特别提醒: 根据历年高考阅卷的情况, 考生写句子最易犯的错是: 不用be时却用了, 或者该用be时却没用。因此, 我们须注意:

1.英语句子通常要有谓语动词, 否则就不完整。如表达 “他很累”, 不能说He very tired.

而要说He is very tired. 因为tired是形容词, 句中无动词。切记: 当句子意思完整, 但句中没有动词时, 一定要加上be。

2. 当句中已有谓语动词时, 若不是进行时态或被动语态, 一定不要再用be。如表达 “他昨天来过这里”, 不能说He was came here yesterday. 而要说He came here yesterday.

九月的课堂闷热得吓人，一到下午那就更难难熬了。一天下午上课前，我们英语站在讲台上，仰头望着风扇，皱着眉头，手还在不断地扇凉。过了会儿，他把朝向他的窗都打开了，但眉头依然皱着。忽的一声，他又匆匆地不见了人影。一会，只见他一手提着一把立地大风扇，一手抓着一把大交椅，身后还叫个学生帮他捧着一杯柠檬茶。我们全班都傻了眼，不时地听到有人在说：“这……这是老师吗？怎么会有这么个性的老师？”然后呢，我们英语就坐在大交椅上，吹着大风扇，喝着柠檬茶，心满意足地讲起课来。

讲课讲到重点处，他就敲敲黑板提醒我们。“哎哟，好，”他说，“你们6班就是鬼灵精，一听我敲黑板就都窜起身来，那7班，我敲个半死他们还是木头般地坐着。学英语就得这好，不用考汕头卷。汕头那些家伙出卷呢，就是四个人关在一间房子里，整天坐着椅子转啊转啊，就转出一张试卷来，专考些难题怪题，正经的又不考。汕头的试卷啊，哎哟哟，那真是害死万万生灵哦。”

学生自然是很尊重他的，其他的老师也是，他说什么就是什么，就连我们那让人不寒而栗的杨校也得让他三分。他跟好的学生没啥话谈，倒是跟那些调皮捣蛋的很谈得来。哪一班谁谁谁捣蛋了，他就找谁谁谁去喝茶聊天。他总是站在理字上，也不得不尊重他。有一次录音机坏了，他气得半死，说公物怎能破坏，东西怎能不打紧，越说越气，最后竟然把书一摔，说：“不上课了，学什么书，学做人好了。”后来有一次他看见粉笔头乱七八糟地散在地上，也气得摔书不上课。

我们英语人有个性，课也有个性。课前唱歌的时候，他竟点起歌来，说：“停停停，别唱这个，唱刘欢的什么‘心不在’，什么‘重头再来’那首来我听。”我们不会唱，他皱了眉说：“哎哟，那么好听的歌怎么不会呢？”接着指着指挥员说：“你，下课去7班学唱这首歌，以后我来了你们就唱给我听。”过后有的老师听说了这事，禁不住大笑起来说：“哈……王老师就是这样，真性情！”

到了复习期间，他大步迈上讲台，把手在半空中一挥，喊道：“来，我们的口号是……”全班一起大喊：“用声音唤起记忆！”感觉，就像在上幸运52一样。

初三即将结束时，他不经意间说起：“老师扮小丑，拼命逗笑，只为了让你们记得更深。”我当时低着头，红了眼圈。在每一次笑声的背后，我们学到了很多，而老师付出了很多很多。他说：“我自认对得起我的教学，你们想想，老师什么时候在课堂上讲错一个字。”真的没有，他从来没有口误，从没说错过一个字，那，精神该多么集中啊。

上学期，有一次我早早地回家，遇见了他，没变，我们英语还是穿得整整齐齐，头发丝毫不乱，着哩水喷得满头油亮油亮的。戴着一副墨镜忽忽地开着摩托车。我惊喜地大叫：“啊，老师！”他一忽而过，也来不及听见。

后来，我梦到了他，也没变，还是在上那么个性的课堂，我还是他的学生，幸福地听着“哎哟哟，这是个黑面鬼，得注意咯……学英语呢，就得这样，我们不但要有激情，还要有表情……来，我们的口号是……”

I had so many memories in three years’life. On of them impressed me very much. I still remember，when I began to learn English，I found it too difficult. Serious though the problem seems, we have to take some measures to tackle it. On the one hand, the government should carry out more strictly the policy of family planning, thus reducing the total number of population. On the other hand, all the people should realize the harms of overpopulation. With the concerted efforts of all the parties concerned, were sure to solve the problem in the future.
