I am a third year master major in automation at ×× University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

Education background

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. Research experience and academic activityWhen a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

and a long tail. I can see them on TV or the zoo. Every time I go to the zoo, I

will go to see them. Monkeys often stay in trees and jump between them. They are

so lively and favorable. When they are happy, they will act for visitors. It’s

very funny.

天终于放晴了，像被关了十多天“禁闭”的太阳急匆匆的地赶出来，像怕赶不上什么事似的。有蓝蓝的天，有白白的云，有绿绿的草，没错的，还有红红的花。

就这样，我依傍在一条欢快的小溪旁，背靠在一颗粗壮的大树上，看着山坡上的绿草如茵，禁忍不住“咯咯”的笑出声音来。我回想着刚刚所发生的一切：

话说，今天是一个特殊的日子————老师将要举行一场别开生面的比赛。比赛的残酷性不言而喻。从老师的这句“下午举行抢答比赛”刚落地，班上就火药味儿十足，每个小组都将自己“珍藏”了许久的原材料搬了出来，准备给别的组当头一棒。

教室里的每个角落都挤满了这类字眼————“金溪民方仲永，世隶耕“”仲永之通悟，受之天也“”得为众人而已耶？“

随着校停车场的自行车无影无踪，转眼间又水泄不通，抢答赛拉开了帷幕。

”老师，我！“”老师，我！“我！”每个人都想吃了兴奋ji一般，时而站起，时而坐下。你不让我，我不让你，都举高了手儿抢答！

每一位同学的脸都涨得通红，尤其是我们这一组。

老师在黑板上马不停蹄的几下分数，粉笔灰一一落下。问题的源头也快要临近了，而黑板上一个个五彩缤纷的分数，却令人异常兴奋，在黑板上划出一道道美丽的弧线。“来吧，让战争早点结束吧！”每一位我的“战友”都在默默念叨，“胜利早晚是属于我们的！”

最后一个问题轻声落地，我大呆呆望着黑板，好像看见了美女蛇一般，死死盯住，似乎胜利两个字在向我招手。比赛的结果十分美好啊！我高傲的举起双手，高傲的抬起头，高傲的欢呼！看着其他组的沮丧表情，我们格外满意。因为，我们可以免于劫难，而这些手下败将，将接受抄书的惩罚。

“哈哈哈。“每个同学的心都绽成了一朵艳丽的花，我似乎站在世界的最高峰，俯视着他们，虽然我知道这是赤裸裸的鄙视，但是成功的喜悦已将所有的尊重扫地出门，并肆无忌惮的冲昏了我的头脑。

我心里乐呵呵的想着，直到胳膊上有一点儿疼痛，我才下意识的将目光转向那只叮我的罪魁祸首，并毫不留情地将它扇飞。( )

忽然从对面山头涌来一阵黑云，那气势，想要将我心花怒放的心儿给吞没，河里的小鱼冒出水面，张大了圆鼓鼓的嘴巴，好像在催促着我：“快走吧，再不走就来不及了。”

我贪恋着这儿美丽的风景，更贪恋那一份过了头的成功的喜悦。

暴风雨袭来，将我淋得一文不值，将我高兴过头的心淋得湿漉漉的。

我难道做错了什么吗？还是说，我要将被胜利的喜悦冲昏了思维的心腾出一点儿空间，接受暴风雨吗？

雨停了，我的眼前格外明亮。

Hello, everyone! Im Feng Biyu, a girl of 19 years old. As you can see, I am very glad to get along with all of you and I hope we’ll have a good time in our subsequent study.

My hometown is in SiHong, Northern JiangSu Province, a beautiful place with a lot of clear rivers and lakes. When boating on HongZe Lake, I always feel free and relaxed. It is really a wonderful  place to enjoy your life.

I graduated from SiHong Middle School. It was set up in 1949 and now it  is more than 60 years old.

I have a lot of friends in my middle school. We love each other. Time goes by, but our friendship will never go away. They cheer me up, make me happy and do some help when I meet with difficulties.
