While captive, the bears do not eat. They drop about one kilogram each day. But the wild bears, who had access to the Arctic snack bar, lost the same amount of weight each day. The results are in the journal Physiological and Biochemical Zoology.

丘丘的耳朵是竖起来的，两颗黑宝石似的眼睛下方长着一个长长的嘴，嘴巴上方还长着一个呈倒三角形的鼻子，尾巴弯弯的，像一个瓣月牙儿，光滑的皮毛上方长着四根强壮有力的腿，这样或许能够帮忙它奔跑！

丘丘常常笔直地站在那里，像一个大将军般傲然地站在那里。它的记忆力也很好。一天，我的书找不到了，正着急，丘丘就像是看出了我的心思，跑过来，闻了闻我的手，就慢悠悠地跑到我的床前，大声叫起来……这时，我突然想起来了，在我睡觉看书的时候，只是看了一半，就觉得困，顺手把书放到枕头底下去了！我找到了书，急忙夸赞丘丘：“你真是聪明极了！”丘丘好像听懂了我的话，高兴地摇起了尾巴。

牧羊犬一般跑得很快，可我家的丘丘行动却很缓慢，真不明白它那四根强壮的腿是干什么用的。但是，只有一种状况例外，就是在我说“吃饭了！”的时候，它就会以闪电般的速度跑来，狼吞虎咽地开始吃食！吃完饭，就跑回自我的窝，又开始睡大觉。我懂了，原先，它那强壮有力的脚是为了抢食吃而生的啊！
