2014年即将结束,2015年即将来临。在新的一年里,我们必须有很多愿望，因为新年意味着事情结束，另一个开始，所以我们需要让新的一年的决议为了第二年会更好。我想与你分享我的新年决心。首先，我决定尽我最大的努力学习英语。因为我的英语很差,它会影响我其他的科目。我将面临很多差异,例如扩大我的词汇，训练我的听力，提高我的写作等等。我必须努力工作，因为我不希望落后于时代。其次，我将放弃看足球比赛，因为每一次我花了两个小时,这让我没有完成我的家庭作业。作为一名学生,学习是我们的责任，所以我将更关注学习而不是玩。为了我的未来，我将努力学习。

今天是农历二零零八年的第一天，也是我们中国的大年初一，早晨“噼啪、噼啪、噼啪”的一阵新年的鞭炮声，把我从睡梦中叫醒。

起床后爸爸带我去楼下放鞭炮，火红的鞭炮像一条欢舞的火蛇在地上炸响，留下许许多多的各种颜色的鞭炮纸片在飞舞，就像天女散花留下的花瓣一样，真是：爆竹声声辞旧岁，春联户户迎新春。我看见左右邻居的“福”都是倒着贴的，我就从电脑上搜了一下“福”为什么倒着贴，原来人们过年为了图个吉利，利用倒和到是谐音，所以“福”倒了，就是“福”到了。我还看见了其它对联：爆竹一声除旧，桃符万户更新。春到碧桃树上，莺歌绿柳楼前。玉龙吐宝庆吉日，金凤含珠贺新年。……过年让我想起一首古诗：是《元日》作者是宋·王安石：爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧符。

大人都说过春节最高兴的是我们这些小孩们，是啊!我们一帮小朋友们欢天喜地的在一起放鞭炮，做游戏玩得热火朝天。这个春节让我了解了许多关于过年的知识，过的非常的充实。

Taking the above-mentioned factors into consideration, I can safely conclude that the Gala just needs a reform in the future but not to be cancelled.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in the West. The 23rd day of the 12th lunar month is called Preliminary Eve. At this time, people offer sacrifice to the kitchen god. Now however, most families make delicious food to enjoy themselves.

Store owners are busy then as everybody goes out to purchase necessities for the New Year.
