许多地方摆满了红红绿绿的圣诞红，有的地方也一一竖起又高又大的树木，挂上缤纷亮丽的灯饰及大大小小的卡片及小饰品就成了非常漂亮的圣诞树。街上还不时看到胡须洁白如雪，戴着红红尖帽的圣诞老公公，挥舞双手向人们热情打招呼。如果世界上真的有圣诞老公公的话，我想向他祈求一把小提琴和一双跳跳鞋作为我的圣诞礼物。

我希望圣诞老公公能送我一把小提琴，因为在学校常看到许多同学拉着小提琴，演奏一首又一首美妙的乐曲，常让我听到入迷。小时候我喜欢拿着玩具提琴，摸着那有弹性的琴弦及弓，感觉很有趣。读幼儿园大班时我有学过小提琴，还曾上台表演。但上小学后就没继续学琴了，现在我也完全忘记怎么拉琴，真可惜!如果圣诞老公公真的送我一把小提琴，我要好好表现，再请求妈妈可以让我上提琴课，学会真正演奏的技巧，将美妙的音乐分享给大家。

如果可以，我还希望能有一双“跳跳鞋”当圣诞礼物。因为我每天走路上学都要走好远。如果我有“跳跳鞋”，我要上学时只要穿上它，跳个二下不到五分钟就可以到学校了，又快又方便。可是我也担心如果穿上它出去玩，遇到山洞或隧道，会不会跳的太高撞的满头包。如果没有这个礼物也没关系，我也喜欢每天走路上学，路上可以看见许多洁白的鹭鸶在社区觅食，还可以看到很多草地上的小黄花。走路上学既可以看让身体健康又可以看到漂亮的风景，也是件令人开心的事!

如果圣诞老公公真的达成我的愿望，我会好好珍惜得到的礼物。我也要感谢在寒风中辛苦奔波的圣诞老公公，因为他很辛苦跑来跑去的送给许多人礼物，让大家都能心想事成。希望温馨欢乐的圣诞节能快快到来，也祝福大家都能平平安安、快快乐乐。

苏格拉底曾说过：世界上最快乐的事，莫过于为理想而奋斗。正是为了理想而奋斗，霍金才成为了理论物理学家。理想是每个人在成功路上的导师，让我们去奋斗，去实现我们的理想。是理想让对生活失去信心的人重新看到生活的美好，是理想让失业的人找到了生存之道，理想更让我们找到了未来的自己。约翰逊的名言中写到过：人的理想志向往往和他的能力成正比。所以我们要用我们自己的能力给我们的理想打下基础，证明我们曾经也为理想努力过，奋斗过，付出过。我们的理想可能是科学家，因为我们认为科学是智慧的象征，科学带给人们的是方便简洁；我们的理想也可能是教师，教学带给孩子们的是知识，培育出的是为国家尽力的人才。我们的理想也可能是……

有一句诗是：宝剑锋从磨砺出，梅花香自苦寒来。理想就像这句诗一样，要想把理想变成现实，就要经历挫折和失败后才知道不是什么人都可以实现理想的，就像宝剑一样经过无数次打磨才会变成一把锋利的剑，也像梅花一样在风雪中才会有花香。

The Spring Festival, the most important festival of our Chinese nation, heralds the coming of a New Year, and all the families are beaming with joy. On New Years eve, the sound of firecrackers rang through the sky, and people sang and danced, a scene of hot and hot air.

Although the Spring Festival is busy, do you know how Spring Festival comes? Once upon a time, there was a monster named nian, who often bullied people in the mountains in winter. Some wanted to get rid of it, and some wanted to get rid of it. One day, nian came again, and many people were attacked at home. Only a few doors hung with red curtains, and no one was hurt by the fire or knocking at the door, so people in the mountain knew about the three things. When the year came, people used these three things to drive away the monster, and they never dared to hurt people. From generation to generation, the custom of Chinese New Year is formed.

I like the Spring Festival, because some of the delicious popcorn and good drinks, and other kinds of toys.

In recent years, with the strong, our nations leaders also began at the time of the Spring Festival, speeches or articles to the festive greetings to the Chinese in their home country, the Chinese New Year is becoming more and more influential in the world.

Fathers Day is a holiday to celebrate fatherhood and parenting by males,

just as Mothers Day celebrates motherhood. Typically giving gifts to fathers

and celebrating as a family is the main event of the day. Fathers Day is

celebrated on different days in different countries.

Fathers Day exists almost all over the world to honor and commemorate

fathers or forefathers. In the Roman Catholic tradition, Fathers Day is

celebrated on Saint Josephs Day, March 19, though in most countries Fathers

Day is a secular celebration.

In recent years, retailers have adapted to the holiday by selling

male-oriented gifts such as electronics and tools. Schools and other childrens

programs commonly have activities to make Fathers Day gifts.

In the United States, the driving force behind the establishment of the

celebration of Fathers Day was Mrs Sonora Smart Dodd, born in Creston,

Washington. Her father, the Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart, as a single

parent raised his six children in Spokane, Washington. She was inspired by Anna

Jarviss efforts to establish Mothers Day. Although she initially suggested

June 5, the anniversary of her fathers death, she did not provide the

organizers with enough time to make arrangements, and the celebration was

deferred to the third Sunday of June. The first Fathers Day was celebrated on

June 19, 1910, in Spokane.

Unofficial support from such figures as William Jennings Bryan was

immediate and widespread. President Woodrow Wilson was personally feted by his

family in 1916. President Calvin Coolidge recommended it as a national holiday

in 1924. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson made Fathers Day a holiday to be

celebrated on the third Sunday of June. The holiday was not officially

recognized until 1972, during the presidency of Richard Nixon.

Every autumn, when the vegetables are ready to eat, children pick large orange pumpkins. Then they cut faces in the pumpkins and put a burning candle inside. It looks as if there were a person looking out of the pumpkin! These lights are called jack-o-lanterns, which means "Jack of the lantern".

The children also put on strange masks and frightening costumes every Halloween. Some children paint their faces to look like monsters. Then they carry boxes or bags from house to house. Every time they come to a new house, they say,"Trick or treat! Money or eat!" The grown-ups put treat-money or candy in their bags.
