Free Admission to Parks

To encourage people to go outside and relax, a mounting number of parks offer free admission now. People benefit from it, especially during these tough economic times. With free entry, more people will have the opportunity for affordable vacations for families, taking pleasure in the natural landscape.

Fresh air and landscapes in parks are good for people. However, too many people

flocking into parks might not be so good for the parks.

For example, some visitors leave their garbage behind, which may cause environmental pollution. And people’s barbeques and stamping will also bring damage to the grassland and other greeneries in parks.

As a university student, I’m in favor of free admission to parks. Free entry to parks not only saves people’s expenditure, but also makes things fairer — people like the poor and students can go to parks frequently as well. Every time when I run in the playground, I always set a target for myself,

such as I need to finish 3000 meters. It is such a long distance, but if I set

the target of 500 meters and repeat the target, then I can finish my original

goal. It is the same way to realize our dreams. Though we are in middle school

now, we need to equip ourselves with knowledge. What we learn today will decide

what we will become tomorrow. The first goal for us is to enter a better high

school and then continue to fight for the college. But college is not the end to

fight, which is just the beginning. The way to realize our dreams is long.

What are friends? We often talk about the topic with others. I think

friends are those people who can help you when you are in trouble. Don’t forget

The boy students in our clawere preparing to run for monitor. Hearing the news, we girls were full of iaterest and curiosity. We were in bigh spirits and went to listen to their competltive speech. We decided to put our sacred vote to the most suitable person after careful consideration.

The first one who stood up to speak was Yin Xing, who was very active in physical and recreational activities. He pledged to enrich our school life by leading us in singing and dancing and playing games.

The second speaker was Tong Sheng, who was smart and ceonomical and good at planning, He said be would arrange fox our budget in claactivities.

The speeches went on. My eyes fell on Jiang Xin, who sat in a corner, listening attentively. That boy was quiet and always readyto help others in their studies. During last summer vacation, I paid a visit to my uncle’s. It was the first time I had seen the sea. Tow years ago my uncle, a closed friend of my father, transferred from Shanxi to Yantai, a beautiful port city; and then my aunt joined him a couple months later. And a year later I became their guest and was going to stay with them for a week. I was fascinated by the vastness of the sea, the clean and soft sand on the beach, the seagulls flying in the sky and the beauty of the golden sunset clouds over the dark blue water. But I missed the sunrise each day, for I couldn’t get up early enough.

On the fifth day, the alarm clock woke me up when it was still dark outside, I hurried to the beach and stood in the cool breeze there, the sky was turning grey little by little, the sea was calm and all was so quiet that I felt I was surrounded by mysteries, then suddenly, in the faraway horizon, golden beans of light were shooting up into the sky. A moment later, a corner of the sun appeared. The sun was rising very slowly and reluctantly as if it was unwilling to leave the sea.
