书信我们分为两部分：信封和内容。

I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. I think Dumass last few lines about Marguerite being the exception, not the rule were quite true, and I also agreed with his view that while her lifestyle could not be condoned, we as a society assume that all of these type of women are cold and heartless, while this may not always be the case. The spring Festival

Dear Jhon :

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It is on January 1st according to the Chinese lunar calendar(中国的农历). It’s China’s New Year’s Day. So usually a month before the festival people begin to buy food clothes and decorations(装饰) for houses.

About a week before the festival housewives are busy preparing the new year dinner. And they will do a lot of washing and cleaning in the houses. People who are far away on business are hurrying to return home for the new year’s family reunion（团聚）.

On New Year Eve each family will gather tighter eating talking and watching TV for almost the whole night. And there will be some interesting programmes on TV. The children are the happiest of all because they can get presents from parents or grandparents.

On Lunar New Year’s Day after getting up people will eat dumplings. When they meet their neighbours or friends they’ll say: “Happy New Year!”

俗话说：爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。千门万户瞳瞳日，总把新桃换旧符。

一年只有一次，最热闹的也就是那个晚上，我盼望着那个晚上的到来，迎之后那个迷人的夜晚。

直到那个晚上的到来，给我带来了许多的快乐和乐趣。为了今年的“年夜大餐”，母亲和奶奶在除夕的前两天就开始“动工”了。因为母亲眼中的年夜饭是团圆饭，预示着新一年的开始，一切都要十全十美，不能有半点马虎。每到这时候，我便会言语谨慎，生怕不经意间说出什么不中听的或是不吉利的话，招来母亲的责骂。对我家而言，这一年一度的年夜饭已经不只是一顿简单的晚餐，更是全家都要参与的仪式。所以在物质生活极大丰富的这天，我们仍然保留了在家中吃年夜饭的习惯。

我家的年夜饭讲究分工合作，各司其责。母亲是总设计师，负责人员调度。父亲帮母亲打小工，负责买配菜，买调料，拿油盐酱醋、锅碗瓢盆；奶奶是总设计师的得力助手；爷爷则是烹饪几个他的拿手菜；我嘛，就负责“偷吃”，在有菜做好了后，我总以尝尝菜的咸淡，来偷吃做好的菜。

晚上七点整，我们的午夜大餐正式开始，一盘盘色香味俱全、香喷喷的饭菜端上桌来，我看得眼花缭乱。开饭喽！我狼吞虎咽的把这美味佳肴往嘴里塞。妈妈把果汁和红酒拿出来，倒在高脚杯里。我端起酒杯祝愿爸爸和妈妈———身体健康，笑口常开，工作顺利；祝愿爷爷奶奶——福如东海，寿比南山。

我家不仅仅年夜大餐丰盛，家庭也那么幸，我既为有一个会做美食的的妈妈感到骄傲，也为有一个美满的家庭。

The spring festival is Chinese most traditional festival every 365 days.

Each Chinese pay much attention on it. Every year about 15 days before spring

festival， the migrate works and white-collars are beginning crowded

home-returning.

But， in recent years， with the development of the world， many different

attitudes between the young and the old towards the spring festival come forth.

The old are still pay more attention to the spring festival， but the young

gradually change the mode to spend their spring festival holiday， such as travel

overseas.

When I am a childhood， I celebrated the spring festival with my family

about a month in my winter vacation in traditional way， such as helping cleaning

our houses， putting red couplets on gates， setting off firecrackers， and wear

new clothes. Now， I spend only 4 or 5 days at home with my parents in

celebrating the spring festival， then I will hurry back to work. Maybe in the

near future， I will have no time celebrating spring festival hometown， and my

parents have to come to stay with us in the city.

Whether or no， I like the spring festival. It is one of the most important

part of our Chinese culture. However busy I am， I will try my best to

celebrating it with the traditional way to protect those our ancestor has leave

behind.

Today is the National Day, but also our 30th anniversary of the founding of China. I am bored after a morning, in the afternoon, I went to my sisters house to play.

I am happy to the sister, but to her home I was disappointed, the original sister did not think what to play, we racked our brains, and finally thought of a game: grab the bench.

We found ten children to play, the rules of the game is this: Please the five children (including me and my sister) with the music around four bench circle. Music stop, we must immediately grab a bench to sit down. Who did not grab, who would be eliminated. The second round is four and three bench. People in Arab countries like standing close to one another when they are talking, but English people must keep a distance away when they are talking. In some Asian countries, you must not touch the head of another person. In Arab countries, you eat using the fingers of your right land;the left hand is not used at all. In parts of Asia you must not sit with your feet pointing at another person.

When you use a foreign language, it is very important to know the meanings of gestures and movements in the foreign country. Following the customs will help you communicate with people and make your stay there much more pleasant and comfortable.
