Christmas Day is on December 25th. It was originated in the western

country, but today, this festival has been celebrated by the world. For the

manufacturers, they are very happy to make this day as a shopping day. I enjoy

the great atmosphere.

I had a very special Christmas day last year. I experienced the western

style festival. There was a new foreign teacher taught us the lesson. She was

about 50 years old and she was very kind and we all liked her. On Christmas Day,

she brought us the desserts she made early in the morning. We enjoyed the

home-made cakes. Whats more, she invited us to came to her house and spent the

从今天起，我们家开始了节约用水计划。

我把妈妈平时收集的水费条从抽屉里拿了出来，(.)仔细看了看，又算了一下，知道了，原来我们家每月的用水量大约在四到五吨之间，每吨水9角钱，那么，每月的水费就是四块五角钱了，加上南水北调的费用，也就五、六块吧！

为了让妈妈更节约，我帮妈妈出了很多节约用水的点子：比如用淘米水洗脸、浇花；洗衣服用过的水，收集到一个大桶里，擦玻璃、投拖把等等；平时我洗脸，都是把水接到盆里洗，这样就不害怕水哗哗地流走了，洗完后，把水倒入马桶内，还可以冲厕所呢。

也许我的计划只是微乎其微的节约了一些小成本，但比起大西北常年缺水的孩子，我已经非常的幸福了，节约用水，人人有责！

“奢侈浪费真可耻，勤俭节约是美德”这是爷爷奶奶经常说的话。每当我听到这话时，我都十分惭愧。

记得有一次，我不仅没把碗里的饭吃完，还掉了许多饭粒在地上，爷爷看见了问我；“你学过《悯农》这首诗吗？‘谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦’这句诗写得多好啊！”爷爷又说，“现在世界上有许多小孩，整天饿着肚子，面黄肌瘦，过着衣不蔽体的生活；而你呢，随意浪费粮食。虽然我们的生活好了，但是节约粮食的传统不能丢。”我听了这话，觉得爷爷说的对，勤俭节约的好习惯要从小培养，以后我一定要注意。

还有一次，我看见一件衣服残旧了，便把它丢在一边，不穿了。妈妈语重心长地对我说：“不是我不买新衣服给你，这件衣服虽然旧了，但还可以穿啊！能用的就用，这是最基本的美德。”又问我，“你听过《毛泽东同志的军装》这个故事吗？毛主席在延安时穿着一套洗得发白，补丁摞补丁的军装，同志们几次要他换一套新的，他都不同意。有一次同志们背着他给他领了一套新军装，他发现后，硬是退了回去。毛主席的旧军装穿了四五年，大大小小的补丁有18块呢！听了这话，我想：毛主席是国家领导人，他都这么艰苦朴素勤俭节约，为什么我不能勤俭节约呢？”
