In my early years, I did not see the value of education.

When I was going on thirteen, I started to run my own shop. From then on, I worked hard to become a successful businessman.

One day I realized the importance of the English language in the business world and started taking night classes.

I was able to communicate well with foreign customers after two years of English study. But I started to feel that, in the long run, having a limited knowledge of English was not enough to make my business successful. I knew that only a well- rounded education could guarantee my success in the future.

When I was eighteen, I had to make a decision to continue doing business or go back to school. There was one obstacle keeping me from getting an advanced education. I had only completed elementary school up to that point. I then went back to senior high school after four months of tutoring in different subjects. Being at school for the first time after so many years was somewhat embarrassing because my classmates were at least two or three years younger than I. I concluded that my age did not matter. The important thing was getting into college.

I took the College Entrance Exams. Although my math exam result was only one point below the required score. I never gave up hope. The following year, I took it again and received the highest score in my city. Achieving such an amazing result gave me encouragement and courage necessary to continue my education to the next step.

I am now in my second year of college and know that it is never too late to learn. My passion for studying and improving myself will never come to a halt as long as I continue to live.

“Live and Learn.” is the motto I have adopted. I believe with an education I will succeed. So, if you are wondering whether education is important, don’t hesitate a moment to step up and seize the opportunity.

As everyone knows,English is very important today.It has been used everywhere in the world.It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.

But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese…

I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.

I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

our shool, wuhan heping middle school, lies in the center of wuhan city. it was just built and has the perfect size. the school yard is two hundred meters long, one hundred meters wide, and is surrounded by trees.

when you walk throught the front gate, there is a huge garden that greets you with every kind of natural things. to the left is the school library in which there are more than 100, 000 books. to the right is the eperiment building. in the very middle of the school yard stands the teaching building that stretches for one hundred and fifty meters. this teaching building has four floors with the teachers offices at either end of each floor. standing on the top of the teaching building, you can see a flower bed. behind the teaching building is a large playground on the right side. the students often do sports here after class. to the left lies the dining hall which can hold 500 people. this is our school, a beautiful one.

Iraq is a part of the Middle East next to Iran Kuwait. It is very important to the rest of the world because of its underground petroleum fields. It is said that oil is industrial blood and for this reason perhaps the war started. The traditionally accepted political definition of peace and the very word itself comes from the influence of the ancient Romans who defined peace, pax, as absentia belli, the absence of war.

In the modern nation-state world, peace has often been understood as the absence of international war between two or more state-organized armies. However, constraining the concept of peace to the absence of international war ignores the relevance of civil war, internal genocide, terrorism, and other violence. Since World War II, wars between states have decreased while violent internal conflicts increased. Since 1992, however, internal conflicts have decreased though there are still numerous and problematic intractable conflicts. [1] Present day Sudan, as an example, is not engaged in a war with another sovereign state. However, few would deny that what amounts to genocide is taking place in its Darfur region.

Peace therefore, in the sense of the absence of hostilities, is best understood as the absence of violence between groups, whether they are part of a state apparatus or not. Johan Galtung, a very influential peace researcher, calls peace understood simply as the absence of violence "negative peace."[2] It is labeled as such because although direct violence is not taking place, the points of conflict, which can lead to violence, are not necessarily resolved.

在1937年8月28日下午2时，日机疯狂的轰炸了上海南火车站。一共炸死同胞200多人，天桥。月台以及铁轨都被炸得稀烂。

当时刚满八岁的牛牛也在上海南火车站。当时他的家人与难民一起挤上了火车，可火车上人实在是太多了，超载了几个人，司机让其中的几人下火车，可是谁都不愿意下去。最后牛牛的爸爸和妈妈下了火车。

刚下火车的牛牛爸爸和妈妈就被日机投的炸弹无情的炸死了。牛牛害怕的哭了起来，他想下去把爸爸妈妈重新拉到火车上。可是他的叔叔使劲的抱住了他，不让牛牛下火车。

火车终于开动了，大家都以为这样就可以逃过日机的疯狂轰炸，可是他们都错了，火车刚开出了几公里，就被日机投的十多颗炸弹给炸坏了。

火车上的人们慌张地逃出了火车，小牛牛也和叔叔一起逃了出来，可是他们刚爬了一会，身边的家人就陆续被无情地炸死了，害怕的牛牛再也不敢往前爬了。

牛牛坐在铁轨旁边伤心地大哭起来，可就在这时无数颗炸弹相继在他周围爆炸。最后痛哭中的牛牛也被无情的炸死了，他才8岁呀，就这样被残酷的战争给夺取了生命。

通过这篇文章，我深深的体会到的战争给人们带来了太多的灾难。多少人妻离子散，多少人流离失所，又有多少人被无情的夺走的生命。如果没有战争，没有杀戮该有多好啊！我们可以看到和平对于人们的幸福生活是多么的重要和美好啊！让全世界的人们都去维护和平吧！中国人民团结万岁！世界人民和平万岁！

1937年日本侵略者轰炸上海火车站时，一个满脸灰尘的孩子在一片狼藉的废墟中无助地哀号着：“爸爸，妈妈，你们在哪儿啊！”

上一秒，可能这个孩子还在妈妈那温暖的怀抱中，做着美梦撒撒娇，可能这个孩子还在玩弄着爸爸那洁白的衣角，摸着脸庞咯咯笑……可是，这一秒！可能妈妈已用她那美丽的肩背护住了孩子的小脑，可能爸爸已用他那宽大的胸襟保住了孩子的双腿......可现在，这三岁的孩子又能做什么呢？只能让泪花在眼中打转，坐在这冰冷的轨道上，紧紧的搂着自己弱小的身躯，从嘴中断断续续的叫出一个个字音：“爸、爸爸，妈、妈妈，你们去哪了呀？我、我好害怕，不要丢下我一个人！”眼中恐惧的神情不断的流露出来。孩子的身边剩下一半还未倒塌的断桥，断桥不时的摇摆，好像一不小心就会掉下来似的。碎瓦钢板散落一地，空气中弥漫着浓浓的火药味……想想这孩子的未来，他该怎样度过他未来的生活呢？究竟是什么造成了这样一个惨剧，到底是什么！这无疑是战争带来的灾难！是战争！是这可恨的战争让这孩子失去了幸福的家庭，从此沦为成一个孤儿！就在一秒之间，是战争把所有的一切，化为乌有！我听见了，我听见了！我听见了！这三岁的孩子在心中中默默的叫着、喊着：“救救孩子们，要和平不要战争！”

“爸爸，妈妈，你们在哪儿啊！”为了让这悲剧不再重演，让我们一起呼吁和平，制止战争！我相信，在未来的明天，伴随着一只只洁白的鸽子在空中盘旋着，一朵粉嫩的和平之花在每个人的心中绽放！
