I went to Hai Nan with my parents during the Chinese New Year and visited my relatives over there. The weather over there was beautiful. It was so much warmer than my city. It was raining when Tom was on his way home. He opened his umbrella and

walked faster. Suddenly he saw an old woman staggering forward with a stick in

her hand. She hadnt got an umbrella with her and was wet all over. Tom went up

to her and tried to share his umbrella with her. But the old woman was tall and

he was too short to hold it high enough. Then he saw the old womans stick and a

good idea came to him. He tried hard to tie the stick to the handle of the

umbrella. Then the umbrella was long enough for both of them. The old woman

thanked him again and again. Then they went on walking home.

Before I went to school, I felt so excited, because I was so curious about the campus life. Now I have been in middle school, after seven years study, I feel the bitter and happiness. The bitter is that there are always exams, sometimes I cant do well. Every time when I get the low mark, I will be afraid of disappointing my parents. The happy thing is that I make many friends here. We play andstudy together. They are just like the brothers and sisters to me. This is the process of growing up, which mix pain and happiness. I Listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on my notebooks. After class I revise the lessons. Before class I prepare new lessons to find out the questions. Then I will listen carefully in class.

I also listen to the tape, and speak English with my classmates in the classroom and on the playground. It’s to improve my listening and speaking.

I keep a diary every day to practise my written English.

a healthy mind and body. Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is

to life. It is only when the stress gets out of control can it lead to poor

lose heart at the first signs of unusual difficulties. When exposed to stress,

to our destination. I have made up my mind to finish the task in the planned

time. At the beginning, I would write my homework once I got home and I finished

it quickly without other’s interruption. But sometimes my friends came to my

house and asked me to join the activity, and I would say yes without hesitation.

When I got home was almost ten o’clock, all I wanted to do was to sleep, but

One day during the summer vacation, my father and I agreed to play

Peer pressure means the influence given by a group of people around you,

such as, parents, friends, classmates, teachers and so on. Their influence will

affect your attitude, behavior, conception or decision. As every side has two

sides, this influence also has two sides. Let me explain my reasons.

For one thing, influence of peer pressure has positive effect. It depends

on the specific thing. Sometimes, the influence of pressure will promote me get

progress. For instance, my deskmate does well in one math exam, while I fall far

behind her. As we are deskmates, i can’t let others look down on me. So i will

take her as my good example to fight. And then next time, I can get a good mark

by my effort. Take my parents as another example, they like clean. They don’t

For another, influence of peer pressure has negative effect. Sometimes the

me that money is very important. As time passes, i may change my conception.
