我在暑假中读了一本书《海底两万里》。这本书虽然厚厚的，但我也会认真地把它看完，因为它教会了我很多!

这本书的主要内容是：在海上发现了一个被认为是独角鲸的大怪物，它已把几艘船给撞沉。法国一个生物学家叫阿隆纳克斯与另外几个同伴一起出海追捕这只大怪物。在追捕过程中发生了很多惊险刺激的故事。书的主人公船长阿隆纳克斯为了救出险被独角鲸吃掉的同伴，不顾个人安危与独角鲸搏斗，最后被独角鲸吃掉的感人故事。

当我看到在船员们处在危急当中的时候，阿隆纳克斯船长说：“我是船长，我有责任要保护好你们”当时，我被船长的这局话深深地感到了。船长这种舍己为人的崇高精神，是多么的伟大啊!我不由得想起妈妈来，是啊，天下的母亲也是一样的，她们为了自己的孩子，是会奉献出自己的一切的，哪怕是最危险的事情，她们想的都是要保护好自己的孩子，这就是天下间最可贵的母爱。我们一定要好好地报答我们的母亲啊!

How time flies! My three-year middle school life will be over soon。 Looking back， I have many memories of my English study。

When I entered the middle school， I had so many difficulties with my English。 I was not able to understand the teacher in class， and I couldn’t master the words and phrases。 For a time I wanted to give it up。 Later， with the help of the teacher and my classmates， I listened to the teacher carefully in class， kept on reading English every day and spoke as much as possible。 Step by step I made great progress in English。

Last year, my father bought a lovely pet for me. She has four white paws

and a white and yellow tail. She has two small ears, two green eyes and eight

The Laba Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the lunar Chinese calendar. "La" is the name given to the 12th lunar month and 8 is pronounced as "ba" in Chinese, which translated is "Laba." There are several legends about the origin of this festivity and we could not tell which one is true. But what we know today is that this festival started as a sacrificial offering to ancestors. 但，谁曾留心过蝉第一次蜕皮是怎样的;谁曾了解过螳螂是怎样捕食的;谁曾观察过屎壳螂是怎样制作粪球的;谁会想到石蚕原本是生长在芦苇丛里;

我们忽略的太多太多，忽略的时间太久太久……

“昆虫”，听起来过于学问化的名词，不像人们日常口头用语。但是它，虽陌生但又熟悉——树上的知了、花间的蜜蜂、米袋子的象鼻虫、水里的鱼、吸血的斑纹……昆虫的数量比地球上的人类多上千万倍，然而人们居然熟视无睹，根本不愿意认真感觉这生命。他们真的那么渺小吗?就因为它们渺小而忽略它们吗?

前几天，我读了《蓝色的海豚岛》这本书。读完后，我有了这样一种感受：当一个小女孩孤独时，反而会让她变得更加勇敢和坚强！  书里的女孩叫卡拉娜，她生活在太平洋里的一个岛屿上。岛屿的形状像一条侧躺着的海豚，所以，人们把它叫做海豚岛。岛的周边有许多海豚在游泳，海獭在嬉戏，海象在争雄，野狗在决斗……

岛上住着印第安人，生活自由自在。后来，他们遭到了捕猎海獭的阿留申人的杀害，决定离开这个岛到东方去生活。离开的那天，卡拉娜和弟弟因为没有赶上离开的船只，不幸被留在了岛上。

《老人与海》讲述了一个老渔夫桑迪亚哥的故事。在连续八十四天没有打到鱼，旁人讥笑他的情况下，老人毅然出海捕鱼。经过重重困难坎坷，一条一千五百多磅的大马林鱼上钩了，老人与大鱼激烈争斗，最终老人制服了大鱼。可就在老人返航过程中，大马林鱼鲜美的肉数次遭遇鲨鱼的掠夺。最后，武器用尽，精疲力竭的老人带着一副鱼骨架回来了。

小说中，最后老人并没有成功带回大鱼的肉，看上去，在这场博弈中他输得一无所有，然而，他真的失败了吗?我觉得并没有。你看，面对困境淡然乐观的他，不正是个精神上的强者么?即使大鱼被吃干净，面对不可逆转的命运，他并没有自怨自艾，自暴自弃，仍是从容面对，这不更能体现他强大的精神力量吗?从这一点看，更是让我们敬佩。他的坚强，还有他的宽厚，仁慈，乐观等等精神品质也在感染着我，启发着我。

three tall buildings in our school. They all have five floors. In the teaching

flowers， grass and trees. There is a big playground in my school.

I like my school， because my school is very beautiful.

Generally speaking, life in high school is busy and fulfilling, due to the

ultimate goal---College Entrance Examination. Many people say that there is no

fun left but bored study and endless exercises. However, as a high school

student, I can’t agree with them. Personally, I live a fruitful but happy life

in high school. It can’t be denied that study is my priority that I must spend

most of my time and energy on it. Sometimes, study may make me frustrated or

even drive me crazy, but I still can adjust my mood to enjoy my life. Besides, I

can also get a sense of achievement when I do well in my study or make progress.

The most important is that my friends bring much happiness to me and my parents’

care inspires me to go on. I think friends in high school are my best friend

forever, because they know me a lot and witness all of my emotions. They are the

persons who grow with me. In addition, teachers in high school care much about

our students both in study and life, and classmates are always friendly to each

other. We build deep friendship together. All of these make up my fruitful life

in high school, which I will cherish forever.

Everybody has someone in his heart that he admires very much， who may be a scientist， a writer or a musical or a movie super star。 As for the one I admire the most is my dear mother。

My mother is an honorable policewoman。 She is very busy with her job all the time。 As mom often needs to work over-time， she goes to work very early in the morning， and doesn’t come home till late at night。 Mother deeply loves her work; she treats it gingerly and conscientiously， and she is full of respected at work by her colleagues and leadership。 For always being a responsible person for the work， my mother also therefore merited many awards。

In my memory， from my childhood， my mom rarely took days off， not even for the public holidays。 When my friends went out to play with her parents on weekends， I spent my time in mom’s office。 Whenever mom had a day-off， she would be busy with preparing a delicious meal for my dad and me。 There was one time， when we were just about to start our lunch， an emergency telephone call rang up， mom hang up the call， got dressed to get ready to go out， she was even too busy to think of the meal， then rushed to her work。 Till my bedtime on that night， mom was still not home yet。 My mother works extra almost everyday， she never seems to know when she should stop it。

I admire my mom’s work spirit! I love my dearest mother!
