I have recently read Battle Hymn of Tiger Mother published by The Penguin Press in 2011. This autobiography was written by the Chinese American woman Amy Chua, a tenured professor in Yale Law School. She causes a sensation because her strict but unique parenting which brings excellent performance of her two daughters.

This autobiography tells the course of Amy Chua how she raised the two daughters in Chinese parenting way. It is divided into three parts. At the first part, it gives some introductions of the two daughters, the family. And in the second and third parts, the writer tells more details in the process of raising her two different daughters and the difficulties she was confronted in the process, and most importantly the success the daughters achieved in music which brought Amy Chua pride as well as the whole family.

To some extent, I don’t like Amy’s parenting in some aspects. In my opinion, she deprived the nature of children and pushed too much pressure on their children, especially on Lulu who was under the shadow of her excellent elder daughter—Sophia. While I was reading the third part in the rebellion part, I couldn’t control my own emotion, I felt what Lulu felt and even hated against her selfish and autocratic mother. I couldn’t understand why Amy didn’t let Lulu get up from sit, for water, not even to go to the bathroom when Lulu just wanted a rest during the long hours’ practice of violin. She made Lulu practice violin all day during the family’s vacation abroad. She spoiled the vacation by letting the other family members waiting the practice. She was unreasonable.

But next what I do is to admire her.

There is an old Chinese saying “property can never last for three generations”。 But Amy Chua did change it! Her parents came to U.S and suffered a tough life at the very beginning. They taught Amy math and piano in an extreme strict way when she was a kid. Under the influence of her parents, now Amy is frugal and pretty strict with her daughters and herself. They are the valuable points of her. Although she is so extreme on her parenting, she has the advisable ideas that the parents and the parents to be to learn.

Firstly, as parents, they couldn’t ignore their children and put all focus on their job. There is no excuse for not concerning their children. Except supervising her daughters, Amy Chua has to give lessons in university, write books and handle the family chores. She is so busy, but she doesn’t ignore the daughters.

Secondly, parents should be strict with their children especially when they are kids because kids lack of self-control. They should not indulge their children in internet or sleepovers.

Thirdly, parents should master some skills in parenting. As a matter of fact, there are so many Chinese parents who are strict with their children with no avail of success. Success can’t be totally copied, because some parents ignore the skills in parenting. When their children don’t follow their will or perform well enough to satisfy them, they will lose their temper and even beat their children, yes, of course, Amy Chua will be mad but she won’t beat her daughters, in this condition, she will be sober and wait until her daughters perform well enough. She learnt some music knowledge in her children’s class and supervised them patiently. She knew where to correct the mistakes and gave the children extraordinary success.

儒勒.凡尔纳是在告诉我们：没有做不到的，只有想不到的——只有当时具备一定的科学背景，才可能有来源于现实或高于现实的想象，否则不是科幻只是空想；而如果连想象都没有，没有目的、没有方向，更不可能有科学的进步。

暑假我看了法布尔写的《昆虫记》

这一部概括昆虫种类、特征、习性讲述了昆虫最真实的生活著作。而在这一系列的字里行间，作者法布尔也加入了自己对昆虫，对生活的感悟。让它也不单单是一些科普类的观察日记，也融入了许多对生活的情感。

在《昆虫记》这一系列中，我印象最深的昆虫是松毛虫。这是一种以松树为食的昆虫。在原文中这么描写它们卵和幼虫：“该物体长3毫米，宽4-5毫米，外表如丝一般柔软光滑，白中略显橙黄色，覆盖着鳞片，鳞片像屋瓦似的叠盖着，排列虽然整齐，但不成几何秩序，外观犹如榛树未曾开花时的花序。”“这些细小微弱的创造物只有1毫米长，它们呈蛋黄色，满身纤毛，其纤毛又短又长，短的呈黑色，长的呈白色。”

松毛虫虽然是一种害虫，当它们身上所有拥有的一些品质是值得我们学习的。松毛虫和睦相处，每一只虫都在最大努力为集体做贡献。干活时绝不懒散拖沓。不像生活中一些人，总想在一些方面投机取巧。而松毛虫却因为完成自己的职责而感到满足，这是多么难能可贵的精神啊!

松毛虫在过冬时，由于每条松毛虫体内的丝线数量已经不足，它们会合力修建一个用于御寒的屋子。这种极高的合作意识恐怕有许多人类团队也做不到吧!更有甚者，不为团队帮忙还在内部挑拨离间，导致团队面临信任危机，甚至有解散的风险。不仅如此，松毛虫修筑屋子的时间还是在冬天来临之前，可谓是未雨绸缪，就算冬天提前来临也不怕。不得不说，有时候可真是“人不如虫”啊!

在这本书中，除了松毛虫，还有许多其他的昆虫。甚至连一切故事发生的地点——荒石园都做了一个描述。不过这篇文章已接近末尾，我也不一一描述了。

学习了《孔乙己》这篇文章，我才发现鲁迅的文章并不是我已开始看的那么平淡，没有什么内容。最初读的时候，我只是觉得孔乙己很可怜，除此之外，便没有什么感受了。深入学习才发现，这篇文章蕴含的内容很多，鲁迅写的时候并没有突出表达，而是让读者慢慢领悟的。这种写作手法需要一定的文化积淀和内涵。

学习完这篇文章，我总结了以下三点：

1。当时人们不团结一致反抗压迫他们的黑暗社会。

2。当时的科举制度促使“好吃懒做”“嘲讽看不起劳动人民”的思想。

3。当时人心冷酷无情，互相嘲笑，喜欢做看客。

鲁迅的写作手法总是含含糊糊的，需要细心品味，才能看懂并体会其内在的深意。譬如：

“他身材高大”可以看出孔乙己有生活能力。

“穿的虽然是长衫，可是又脏又破”“满口之乎者也”“长指甲”能看出孔乙己自认为自己是读书人，看不起劳动者，侧面反映各当时科举制度的腐朽。“三百六十行，行行出状元”，我们不应该只盯着读书这条道路。

“又脏又破”可以体现出孔乙己懒惰和贫穷。

这篇文章人物描写也很细致：

“样子太傻，怕侍候不了长衫主顾。”“参水也很难。”“掌柜见了孔乙己，也每每这样问，引人发笑。”

这几个选文，可以看出掌柜做生意不诚实，给的茴香豆少，苛扣份量。

从四次笑声中，我们可以看出当时中国人的一种看客心理，都爱看别人的笑话。冷眼旁观，不肯帮助别人，只会互相嘲讽，不知道团结一致，共同对抗敌人。可笑而可悲!

但愿封建科举制度的气息，能够现代教育制度里越发越散。孔乙己的命运已经警告着后人不要再成为下一个孔乙己了!

《水浒传》中一百单八将结为兄弟，为朋友赴汤蹈火，两肋插刀，就只为“义”字当头;为人民除暴安良，出生入死，也只为“义”字当头。由此可见，一个“义”字虽然只有三笔，有时却要用一个人的生命去写。在现实生活中，给人让座几乎谁都可以做得到，但救人于危难之中却不是谁都可以做到的。因为它需要有相当的勇气，甚至是一命换一命的决心。

留给我印象最深的就是《水浒传》英雄中：李逵。他生性鲁莽，性情暴躁，经常为小事与他人发生冲突，甚至搞出人命案。但他却能够路见不平，拔刀相助，令那些丧尽天良的家伙们闻风丧胆。

李逵这一角色的刻画，长相黝黑粗鲁，小名铁牛，江湖人称“黑旋风”，排梁山英雄第二十二位，是梁山步军第五位头领。宋江被发配江州，吴用写信让江州两院押牢节级戴宗照应。李逵这时正是戴宗手下做看守的一名小兵，就和宋江认识。戴宗传梁山假书被识破，和宋江两人被押赴刑场杀头，李逵率先挥动一双板斧打去，逢人便杀，勇猛无比。上梁山后，思母心切，就回沂州接老母，翻越沂岭时老母被老虎吃了，李逵生气杀了四虎。招安时，李逵不愿受招安，大闹东京城，扯了皇帝诏书，要杀钦差，还砍倒梁山泊杏黄旗，要反攻到东京，为宋江夺皇帝位子，多次被宋江制止。李逵受招安后被封为镇江润州都统制。宋江饮高俅送来的毒酒中毒后，想到自己死后李逵肯定要聚众造反，怕坏了梁山泊的忠义名声，便让李逵也喝了毒酒一块儿被毒死了

在如今的现实生活中，虽然已经没有了这样惊心动魄的大事发生，但“义”字却渗透着我们的生活的点点滴滴中。对朋友讲义气，是小义。对素不相识的人或事物也用一种正义的眼光去看待，就是实际意义上的大义。我们中华民族，是一个大义的民族，当日本侵华，多少义气凛然的革命烈士，用他们的满腔热血，誓死不屈，才成就了今日蒸蒸日上的祖国。董存瑞舍身炸暗堡，黄继光用自己的胸膛堵住了敌人的机枪，这些都是炎黄子孙大义的延续，是中国历史上挥之不去的光辉。

有幸，我读了《倾听生命》这本书，在我读它之后，我开始思索许多的事，其中有关于生活，有关于人的内心，有关于我们身边细节……这无疑是我们需要关注的，我觉得，这比我们的学习要重要的的多。

生命是一本无限厚的书，我们要做的，便是一夜一夜的去翻开它，探索它。在这过程中，我们会碰到许许多多的困难与阻挠，但我们必须要学会克服它们，战胜它们。

老舍开门见山解释“骆驼祥子”，便提到了车夫，“这些人，生命最鲜壮的时期已经卖掉，现在再把窝窝头变成血汗滴在马路上”，这已经十分惨烈了，前面再配上一句“他们渐渐知道自己早晚是一个跟头会死在马路上”点明了他们早有先见之明，他们之所以会走上这条死亡之路，是因为他们无从生计，才咬咬牙，狠下心来干这行的。这所谓：我不入地狱，谁入地狱!可见当时的老百姓的生活十分穷苦难过与艰辛。

祥子是挺神气的，高等车夫呐!而祥子在挣钱买车时可是历尽了磨难!做车夫难，做自由的车夫更难，想凭着菲薄的收入买车更是难上加难!但单凭着祥子的节省，虎妞的帮助与他那份倔强的干劲就买上了一部物有所值，七八成新的私车。而他因大胆地试着闯了一次正在捉车捉人的禁区，便被一齐擒了过去。祥子自然是要思念他的车了，那可是他花了多少血汗省下来、挣回来的呀!

祥子还是带着信手拈来的骆驼逃去了。但他之后的日子还是那么的艰辛，甚至比拉车时更痛苦。嫁给了虎妞却还要忍受着刘四爷的压迫：钱还扣在那儿呢!不过，经虎妞赞助后，又买了一辆。但在虎妞去世时，为了出棺材钱又把车买了，正如文中所说“钱就像流水一般”。是的，车能卖几个钱。在那之后，祥子就拖着把仍硬朗的老骨头去给人送殡送葬。他甚至已经迷茫了，没有了思想似的。整日无所事事的捡着烟头抽。他似乎是一条死鱼，只有鼻翼在翕动着，只是仍然是那么脆弱罢了。

真的，不知何时他会把这一切都埋掉，包括他这个社会病胎中的产儿，个人主义的末路鬼!

《山丘上的约会》这个故事中最奇妙的部分，在于两们“笔友”彼此间从未见过面，单单只靠书信文字所产生的美好想象来塑造彼此的形象，而且在无形中不断地增强彼此的美好印象。相信很多人都有这样的经验：只听到某人或某篇文章的形容，就对没见过的人、事、物产生好奇，进而想象，总是越想越美好。

《山丘上的约会》故事最精彩的部分在于两个素未谋面的人终于决定要见面了，让人紧张心跳的也正是这一刻，两人都从对方最高的期望出发，结局如何呢？作者采用了卡通化的造型，夸张地强化了故事中两个主角的差异，不论在身高或体态上都不同。很戏剧化的是，正当玲玲抬头猛往高处寻找将会从天而降的偶像时，男主角瓜瓜也正奋力地跳上山丘去赴约呢！作者运用书本竖立时的直式版面，营造出男女主角见面时的“震憾”画面，令人拍案叫绝！故事中的主角虽然都是田墅里常见的动物，但两者的外形、习性截然不同，所以见面的过程充满了曲折、趣味。孩子在阅读时因为是旁观者，一定会觉得他们好笑，从而在轻松的气氛中理解故事的发展进程。

哇！会面的结果真是令人有些失望，书信中的印象明明不是这样的埃当满怀期盼，终于可以一睹真面目时，才发现事实和想象差了一大截。这是一个有趣又常会发生的事情。其实呢，“人生不如意事十常八九”，生活中经常会有许多的遗憾和委屈。正因为如此我们常常很努力地去避免这样的事情发生，让一切都如意顺心。结果期望越高往往失望越大，以至迷失了对事物本质的认识，我们就越来越不快乐了。试问朋友的真正意义是什么？不就是无邪的友谊分享吗，至于表面的东西也就不值得计较了。

因为人生很少能够真正地心想事成，所以我们会寄望于故事最后的美好结局，至少希望它是正面的、光明的。笔者很欣赏本书的结局。当玲玲和瓜瓜确信彼此的真正友谊存在时，决定继续山丘上的约会，再为彼此美好的友谊努力下去。真好，友谊可以不用猜疑和负担，只要彼此接纳和分享，或许这正是现代人该好好想想的课题。

Abstract: This film Shawshank Redemption describes a man called Andy Dufresne was sent to the prison for he murdered his wife but in fact he was innocent. Then he started fighting against with the wicked prison life. Though he suffered many unfair treatments and ordeals, he never gives up himself. Due to his intelligence and perseverance, he spend 20 years successfully escape from the prison as a redemption. He teaches me that never lose hope.

The story took place in 1940. A man who is a banker called Andy Dufresne, was sent into the Shawshank prison, for he murderer his wife and her lover in bed. However, he was innocent as he said. The new days in the prison were hard to live. It’s violent, heartless and cruel. Nevertheless, A month later, Andy began to make friends with other prisoners. And one of them called Red, who could get anything what he wanted. Andy bought a mallet from him and started his plan to escape. During this time, he did many things: expanding the library, caving stones, helping the corrupt warden to get money or bribe, etc. Then a young prisoner’s coming break his quiet life in jail. But the warden killed the young prisoner the only man that knew Andy was innocent. Then he knew the prison he could not stay any more. It took him 20 years to tunnel secretly and he successfully escaped from the prison. When he got free, Andy sent the evident which could prove the warden corruption, briber and murdering to the policy agency. Before that, Andy had told his best friend Red that his dream---Zihuatanejo, a warm place without memory. After escaping, Andy lived a free life in another identity and made the prison governor arrested. Several years later, Red was approved to leave. for the promise to Andy. Finally, in Zihuyatanejo, they met.

The cruel prison life terrified me and the friendship moved me. The story goes to a happy ending---redemption. This film impressed me a lot. A sentence was said in the film: ’Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, but most birds will choose to stand it.’

In this film, as we can see, the Shawshank Prison, which enjails lots of people. They have been in the prison form many years ,so they won’t go abroad. Because they won’t and also they can’t. They lived here for years without hope, and they lived just in the small prison, where nobody knows what is their dream and what’s their hope. As I remember, a old man Brooks was released after he had been in the jail for 50 years. But he found that the world became completely different from the world he imagined. For example, he seldom see cars before. He felt very strange and helpless to the outside world He can hardly adapt to the new developed world. He would rather stay in the prison. So unfortunately he chose to commit suicide.

However, on the contrary, Andy said a converse sentence:’ Some birds aren"t meant to be caged, that"s all. Their feathers are just too bright’ He long for the freedom and strive for it! What I remember very clearly is someone said that These walls are kind of funny things like that. First, you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That is institutionalizing. But Andy hadn’t been affected. He insisted on his faith of freedom. He dared to pursue his deserved freedom! That’s the first point I appreciate.

What’s more, another thing I think is friendship. Of course, Andy’s perseverance and endeavor is the main reason that he succeed in escaping. But it can’t be denying that friendship is also a important reason. Without the friends’ help in the prison, especially red’s, He can’t break the prison, too. Even in the jail which is the most evil place that Andy could make it a significance place. He had transformed a storage room smelling of turpentine into the best prison library in New England. Then the prisoners read the books and got knowledge from it. Andy also helped them to pass the high school equivalency. The glitters of him lighted others’ life. That helps him built many sincere friendships in the prison. He just too bright that didn’t belong to the prison .Then he escape and gained the freedom.

Furthermore, the patience, courage and b willpower are the keys to escape. 20 years, not a short ordeal time, but he endured. He made his plan day by day, week by week and year by year. He never gives up. he took nearly twenty years to dip a tunnel with a little rock hammer which Red said it would take a man 600 years to tunnel under the wall with one of these to fight for his free .And he did it finally. Please imagine, crossing the tunnel he dup, he still should crawled through five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness. That is the length of five football fields.

Then is the last but not least, I think. He has the bright brain ,the never fading persistent, and the most important thing----hope. Just as Andy said to Red: Hope is a good thing, may be the best of things. In this film, Andy show us that how good thing the hope is. Yes , hope is a good thing. Whatever it is, it can’t lock the hope. We all have dream. We all have hope. We all have it and please never give up, like Andy.

This film, Shawshank Redemption, teaches me a lot. It deserves to be one of the most overwhelming films in the Hollywood.

According to the report that most children in the family don’t have to the housework, because their parents have done all the work for them. When students go to middle school, it means they are not the little girls and little boys anymore, they have grown up and it is time for them to learn to be independent. Doing the housework and reducing the parents’ burden help the children to be mature, what’s more, the parents should not overprotect their kids all the time, they can give some jobs to the children and lead them to be independent. Doing the housework is not a big deal, but it is the attitude to life.

读完《昆虫记》感触最深的是喧嚣的、快节奏的都市生活，使我们渐渐远离了纯朴的、充满生机的大自然。法布尔对昆虫的那份好奇、那份爱，非常人所能理解。法布尔大量的拟人手法使其描述的昆虫栩栩如生，活灵活仿犹如身临其境。

法布尔对于大自然及昆虫的描述引人入胜，其中的大部分昆虫，对于城市中生活的孩子甚至我们来说是相当的陌生的，我们对于昆虫的认识和理解仅仅来源于书本、电视、电脑，而活生生的实物却是我们触及少之又少的。我是在通过法布尔的眼睛，享受这份读书的乐趣。在作者的笔下，杨柳天牛像个吝啬鬼，身穿一件似乎"缺了布料"的短身燕尾礼服;小甲虫"为它的后代作出无私的奉献，为儿女操碎了心";而被毒蜘蛛咬伤的小麻雀，也会"愉快地进食，如果我们喂食动作慢了，他甚至会像婴儿般哭闹"。多么可爱的小生灵!

非常佩服法布尔这种执着的精神，现实生活中的我们都有梦想，一个接一个的梦想，到现都没有实现的会不会是因为我们不够执着，不够坚持而放弃了呢?

大自然是优美的，充满灵气和生机的，大自然的昆虫们似乎也代表了形形色色的我们，亲情、友情、爱情、拼搏、挫折、奋斗、享受……这一切的一切其实说明人与自然界的生物都有很多共通的地方。

《昆虫记》确实是一部不朽的传世佳作。文章的语言浅显易懂，是一部集知识、趣味、文学、哲理于一体的散文集。体现出作者对于生活独特欣赏，他真是拥有“哲学家一般的想，美术家一般的看;文学家一般的感受抒与写。”

在图书馆里，当我看到《倾听生命》，我就不假思索地借了它。因为从小学一年级起，我就在倾听植物的生命。

‘生命的奇迹’我做过很多离体的试验，如果将一个人的身体砍掉了，只留一颗头，人很快就会死去，可是植物就不一样，我做过很多的试验，即使把落地生根的根和茎切掉，他的叶，仍然能生根生长成新的生命，锦葵科大部份的品种，把他们的蕾摘下来，仍然能正常的开放……还有很多这样的例子，不再一一例举。

‘生命的脆弱和坚强’我观察过很多植物，种子是植物生命的最高形式，铁树的种子很大，但生命脆弱，我多次播过他的种子，很少成功，而季海棠的种子微小，可是坚强，总是能发芽。

‘我更愿意是我自己’我做过不少植物的杂交试验，但我更珍惜原种，因为纯净的原种才能培育出无数新的品种，记得爷爷和我说过1克纯洁的原种有时百万元也买不到，培养纯净的原种，至少要经历多代的植物生命。

‘生命是一张单程票’我看过很多的植物的书，地球上每天有植物灭绝，随着环境的污染和破坏，濒临灭绝的植物越来越多，保护植物的生命吧!否则我们人类的生命也要灭绝!

‘因爱而生’植物的种子‘因爱而生’，植物的花更是爱的表现，他们的结构，他们的花香，他们的开放时间，他们的色彩，他们的甜蜜……不是为了成就果实和种子而无价地付出吗?

‘生命的高贵在于灵魂’我看过不少童话中花仙子的故事，我相信花仙子，那些可爱的小精灵，就是植物的灵魂。当我看到银杏，水杉，蕨类，苔藓，地钱……我就肃然起敬，因为他们基因里，有着远古的灵魂!

‘活下去?活上去!’植物的根扎得深深地才能茁壮生长，，牵牛花的爬得高高的才能活得精彩。

‘短暂与永恒’我曾经在不眠的夜里，观察过昙花的开放，昙花开的时间不长，盛开的时间短促，但展开时的神采，散发出花香，深夜开花神秘，将永远留在我的心中。

让我们《倾听生命》吧!让我们用心感受生命，也许生命很短暂，也许生命很漫长，但都请珍惜生命!用爱倾听，方能创造出美好的境界。
