这次，我们就来到了位于广州番禺，拥有全世界动物种类最多、最大野生动物主题公园——长隆野生动物园。刚好，最近我看了电影《爸爸去哪儿》的拍摄基地就在这里，正好我也能亲身体验与动物零距离接触的乐趣。

跟随着电影的足迹，我选择了首先来到大熊猫中心参观我们的国宝熊猫。国宝居住的地方翠竹成林，大名鼎鼎的熊猫三兄弟也是在这优美的环境里成长着。翠竹既是熊猫的食物也是它们的“玩伴”。在电影里，小朋友们就是用翠竹的枝叶为小熊猫铺起了一张张软绵绵的床，让熊猫在上面愉快地嬉戏。正好，翠竹树旁就坐着一只呆萌的熊猫。它那懒洋洋的坐姿，全身黑白相间的毛色配上似乎戴着全黑墨镜的两个黑眼圈，实在可爱。此情此景让我回想起了在电影中的小朋友们看到小熊猫躺卧在自己亲手筑起的窝时都露出的灿烂笑容，深情地与熊猫对话，还用手温柔抚摸着熊猫宝宝生怕把它弄疼。我也默默地许愿，希望小熊猫能健康成长。

离开了熊猫中心，我们坐上了游览车游园。在游览车的带领下，我观赏到了大象，斑马，犀牛，长颈鹿等动物。它们有的在喝水，有的在吃东西，还有的在成群结队地自由地奔跑着，让我仿佛置身于非洲的大草原中。

游览了长隆一天，我认识了许许多多来自世界各地的珍稀动物朋友们。它们每个都热情好客地欢迎着我们的到来，又依依不舍地欢送我们离开。我是多么希望能再次来探望我的好朋友们！

Over the past few decades, the increasing amount of industrial wastes and household garbage has become a major problem in many countries. People have questioned what caused this problem and what can be done to improve the situation. In my opinion, two of the most critical causes of this waste material problem are the increased consumption and a shortage of space for landfill.

To begin with, modern lifestyle has contributed greatly to the increasing amount of waste and garbage we produce everyday. In other words, we have turned into a materialistic and mass-consumption society where we use more and throw away more than ever before. Moreover, countries are running out of space to store garbage and waste material. In fact, securing land for waste disposal raises controversies in many countries.

To solve this intractable problem, every citizen needs to participate in producing less garbage. For example, we can bring our own personal shopping bags instead of using plastic bags provided by stores and shops. Besides, the government can enforce stricter laws on companies to use biodegradable packaging or use recycled material. Indeed, this alone can eliminate much of the waste which is sent to at land fills. Companies can also contribute by developing new raw material which is recyclable and will ultimately lead to less garbage. A new high-performance swimsuit,developed by mimicking the skin of sharks,will be worn by top athletes in Athens from this week.

The revolutionary new fabric,developed by Speedo,is the result of four years of research and development that began with the study of shark skin at the Natural History Museum .

The new swimsuit,called Fastskin FSII,increases a swimmers speed by reducing passive drag through water by up to 4% more than the next best swimsuit.

Research into shark skin texture and movement through water was carried out under the guidance of Natural History Museum fish expert Ollie Crimmen.

Tiny teeth cover the surface of a sharks skin and the shape and positioning of these teeth vary across the body to manage the flow of water.

With these findings Speedo created a full bodyskin with different fabrics on different parts of the body and for the first time,male- and female-specific and stroke-specific swimsuits.
